Capping off the day’s play, Watford duel with Manchester City at Vicarage Road. Notwithstanding their gutsy performance, the Hornets’ five-match unbeaten streak ultimately came to an end at the hands of Tottenham Hotspur on Monday, while the Sky Blues’ trip to Leicester ended in a goalless draw.

Only Spurs (eight) mustered more goals than Watford (seven) over the last four Gameweeks, while the latter also ranked joint-fourth for big chances (nine). The Hornets retained their diligence on the defensive end, conceding four goals and the joint-fewest big chances (two) across that stretch, offering prospective Sergio Aguero investors food for thought. It’s also worth noting that only three sides have conceded fewer home goals (eight) than Watford.

Man City charted joint-second for goals (seven), second for attempts (73), top for shots inside the box (45) and second for shots on target (25) over the last four Gameweeks, marking a significant upturn in attacking potency compared to their four match-ups prior to Gameweek 16. Nonetheless, Manuel Pellegrini’s charges are still struggling to exert their influence away from home, illustrated by the fact that only three teams have chalked up fewer road goals (eight).

    On the upside gentlemen/ladies and all the undecideds present,
    It matters little how badly we do as individuals this week as we stand to lose little ground against anyone that counts.

    It's like City are playing in slow motion. Painful to watch!

    Aguero ---> Ighalo/ Martial + millions ITB

    Might just go with KDB as Man City attack, he's greedy enough and forward enough to pick up points

    Jon Ross (Chairman of Southampton Supporters Trust) has tweeted...

    Hearing Mane to Man Utd will be announced tomorrow possibly. He put in a transfer request early this morning. Bad form on a match day.

    Jon Ross @JonRossSaints 1h1 hour ago
    Although Mane is a great player, no one is bigger than the club. Rather get rid of such a poor attitude. #WeMarchOn #Saints

    Jon Ross @JonRossSaints 1h1 hour ago
    Don't shoot the messenger. What I heard: £24 Million + Add Ons. Koeman gave Mane 10 mins playing time as farewell.

      Mane did a similar thing before his move from Salzburg to Southampton. He decided not to travel with the squad to a UCL qualification game and went missing for a few days...
