This article delves into the Fans’ forums to gather a terrace-eye view on the forthcoming Gameweek. Here’s their look at Gameweek 22’s fixtures in which Tottenham have an on-paper easy clash with Sunderland at home and Arsenal face a tricky trip away to Stoke.

Fans Predictions

Spurs fans want to mix up their team a little bit against Sunderland. Son Hueng-Min to come in for Christian Eriksen is one suggestion. They are also keen to see, Mousa Dembele play as well. The feeling is that Tottenham have been a little flat in recent weeks and the addition of these two players will gee them up.

Sunderland fans could be in for a backlash at White Hart Lane, and they think Harry Kane could be in the goals. Sunderland are due a defeat and they rarely get anything in this fixture.

Bournemouth fans want to get behind their team against Norwich, they were flat against West Ham but hopefully they can lift the team against an old Championship rival. It’s also a big relegation fixture. They predict a high scoring win for themselves.

Norwich fans are angry with Gary O’Neil who got sent off last game. They aren’t particularly interested in the Bournemouth game and don’t realize how important it is.

Chelsea fans think their game against Everton will be similar to the West Brom game – an open match. It could go either way.

Everton fans also think the game will go either way, but they have a lot of options to beat Chelsea with. They think Gerard Deulofeu looks tired and possibly Aaron Lennon will replace him. Romelu Lukaku was taken off early midweek to be rested for this game.

Man City fans think an early goal would be useful against Palace who like to hit teams on the break. They’ve noticed Palace aren’t in the best form not only in defence but also in attack, but Man City need to be more penetrating and clinical. They expect a win and need some atmosphere in the ground.

Crystal Palace haven’t scored for four games and the fans would like at least a goal. Though they predict a big win for City to nil.

Newcastle fans don’t think they have much of a chance against West Ham. They expect to be outplayed in a must win game for them.

West ham fans are in boisterous mood and as with Newcastle fans believe their side will score around three goals as they cruise to victory.

Southampton fans think the saints will revert to four at the back rather than three they did against Watford. They think they’ll edge this game but it won’t be pretty. Shane Long has a point to prove against his former club West Brom.

West Brom fans are also quietly confident in this game. They think they’ll win, but it could go either way, it depends which team plays well on the day.

Aston villa fans will be behind their team in their game against the Foxes because they were so pleased with their first win since opening day. They hope Leicester will be tired after midweek. It’s do or die for Villa, I think they’ll be up for this.

Leicester fans think they’ll win handsomely, mainly 0-3. Riyad Mahrez and Shinji Okazaki are the names mentioned as potential scorers.

The Liverpool game against Man United will be another loud affair due to their rivalry and the fans hope they can get a victory. Liverpool fans think their midfield will outcompete United’s, however, they are worried that long balls from the Red Devils will miss out their pressing game. They agree that the scoreline could be anything.

Man Utd fans also agree that the scoreline could be anything. Both teams are defending poorly but both have started scoring. There is a danger that Louis Van Gaal could set up to draw. But both team’s fans keep mentioning one name, Maroune Feillani, to change the game. His aerial threat and brute force could prove decisive.

Stoke fans think they should make it a physical game against Arsenal. They think have a chance and will be looking forward to it.

Arsenal fans hate this game and aren’t looking forward to it. In fact a lot don’t think Arsenal will win, they’ve had a bad record there for a long time, but they are top of the league.

Swansea fans hope to get a win against Watford by pressing and pace.

Watford probably had the worst game of the season midweek and they are hoping it won’t happen again. They recognize that outside of their front two strikers there is little to no creativity. A good work ethic is all they can hope for to get results from now on.

Conclusion

Like midweek, the games could go either way according to the fans. It’s becoming ever more unpredictable. The fans have started to move away from talking of tactics and more in terms of heart and desire to win games.

Who would I captain? Sergio Aguero, he’s still as hungry as ever to score and Crystal Palace have been on the brink of a big loss for a while now. Dmitri Payet would be a good second choice. A good differential could be Marouane Fellaini, but equally he’s just as likely to get a red card.

Great article series, this. It often helps me crystallize in my mind my own ideas about how I think the games will go. Payet(c) over Aguero for me, and I've considered Mahrez strongly too.

Yeah, they are interesting, I just wish they could help us a little more with predictions. I think sots, form and stats are the best indicators still. But I could imagine Watford going downhill attacking wise for a while and maybe this afobe guy is the next potential budget striker

Great work these articles, I marry them each week with what the bookies say series and often builds very strong case for changes. I'm not sure on Payet v NEW though as (c) material, NEW in relegation scrapping mode and bookies are only slightly favoring WHM, Kane or Kun for me, I may even have a flutter on an anytime double pays 2.88.

    NEW (2.62) DRAW (3.25) WHM (2.75) | OVER 2.5 GOALS (2.00) | ANYTIME PAYET (2.87)*
    MCI (1.40) DRAW (4.75) CRY (8.00) | OVER 2.5 GOALS (1.57) | ANYTIME AGUERO (1.57)
    TOT (1.36) DRAW (5.00) SUN (8.50) | OVER 2.5 GOALS (1.61) | ANYTIME KANE (1.83)
    AVL (3.60) DRAW (3.25) LEI (2.15) | OVER 2.5 GOALS (2.10) | ANYTIME MAHREZ (3.00)*

*Obviously there is a caveat to anytime odds in that Payet and Mahrez are MF so odds would naturally be higher.
