Dele Alli is back in training but will be assessed ahead of Spurs’ clash with Watford. Andy Carroll could be back for West Ham, Palace are hit with long-term injuries to a couple of key midfielders, whilst West Brom’s Jonny Evans is ruled out for a fortnight with hamstring problems.

Dele Alli will be assessed tomorrow after being withdrawn early on due to dizziness in the midweek win over Norwich. Mauricio Pochettino has confirmed the midfielder is back in full training, saying “all the signals are good” ahead of the home encounter against Watford. Ryan Mason will also be assessed as he steps up his recovery from injury.

Andy Carroll returned to training on Monday and will be assessed ahead of West Ham’s trip to Southampton. New loan signing Emmanuel Emenike is also available after receiving his work permit, whilst Angelo Ogbonna will “hopefully” be fit, according to Slaven Bilic, after missing the midweek win over Villa due to illness. Sam Byram has been ruled out for a week after sustaining a small injury in training.

Tomas Rosicky could be out for up to three months after suffering an injury setback whilst on duty for the arsenal under 21 side. Danny Welbeck is set to step up his recovery with a run-out for the Gunners’ second-string later today.

Palace midfielders James McArthur (ankle ligaments) and Jason Puncheon (hamstring) are set for lengthy spells on the sidelines, with the former likely to miss the rest of the season. Joe Ledley remains out for two more weeks with a thigh injury, though Alan Pardew reckons Yohan Cabaye has a “very good” chance of returning from injury, whilst Dwight Gayle is available after returning to full training. Emmanuel Adebayor is “almost ready” to start and will have another cameo appearance, though Connor Wickham misses out through suspension.

Claudio Ranieri will make a late decision on the fitness of new signing Daniel Amartey ahead of Leicester’s trip to City tomorrow lunchtime.

Bournemouth boss Eddie Howe reckons Josh King – who made an appearance off the bench in midweek – is now up to full fitness. Junior Stanislas remains a doubt, though, with the Cherries set to make a late decision on the winger’s fitness.

Jeremain Lens is a major doubt for Sunderland after being forced off with a groin problem in midweek. Yann M’Vila is expected to shrug off a foot problem to continue in the centre of the park, whilst Younes Kaboul is back in the squad after overcoming a hamstring injury.

Jonny Evans has been ruled out for a couple of weeks with the hamstring injury that forced him off against Swansea. James Morrison and Chris Brunt also remain on the sidelines for the Baggies, Tony Pulis has confirmed.

Ki Sung-Yueng has been ruled out of Swansea’s clash with Palace after being forced off with concussion in the 1-1 draw with West Brom. New manager Francesco Guidolin has revealed that Alberto Paloschi “could” be in line for a first start on the back of an impressive sub performance at the Hawthorns.

All this and more has now been updated in the Team News section ahead of tomorrow’s deadline. Keep an eye on our official Twitter Stream for breaking news – as the day unfolds, we will issue updates from Friday’s press conferences and refresh our Team News tab accordingly to keep you informed.

If I use my bench boost and one of my strikers (Lukaku) or Mids (Alli) doesnt play I assume autosub still happens?

    Forster
    Alderweireld/Koscielny/Baines
    Firmino/Ozil/Alli/Payet
    Aguero/Kane/Costa

    Butland, McCarthy
    Cresswell, Dawson, Williams, Daniels, Simpson
    Ozil, Firmino, Payet, Mahrez, Alli
    Aguero, Kane, Lukaku

2 FT and 2.4m in the bank.

    Any comments/suggestions?

What about Ozil to Sanchez or maybe even a more riskier treble up on spurs by getting in Erikson? Spurs are in great form.

    Best option here fellas?

    A) Surman -> Ozil (and save a FT)
    B) Evans & Surman -> Williams & Ozil
    C) DDG & Surman -> Schmeichel & Sanchez
    D) Something else

Main issue with C is that it gives me triple LEI without Vardy and my defence will be in trouble this week if Wolly doesn't make it. Will likely bench Mahrez this week so a decent sub to call in should one of Alli/Lukaku not make it (although I expect both to start).

    Hennessey
    Bellerin, Moreno, Wolly
    Firmino, Payet, Alli, Mahrez
    Aguero, Lukaku, Kane

    DDG, Simpson, JEvans, Surman

Absolutely shocking how statistics are becoming misused and poorly interpreted on this site at times. It's becoming like a tabloid or shock jock radio show to just get a bunch of angry responses and calls from the audience.

Mission accomplished, since I did take the bait, but while we sheep are mixing fantasy and reality the FPL standard on this site continues to suffer.

If you don't think Leicester are big enough to win the title, just say so -- the worst thing about the conversation is that if Leicester fail to win the title, the supposed statisticians might claim victory.

      Absolutely this.

Leicester are a beautiful time and where they are right now, it's an achievement in itself.

Let them go on and discount them, I think Leicester are playing well now without pressure. People like these are exactly who do not give them a chance, and that works for them in the sense that they can play freely.

Wow, that reads pretty harsh, so apologies for the tone and I am not trying to single anyone out as many great posters use stats and tables that I have learned a great deal from. I love statistics and sports but I just don't know that we are using them wisely as a community, yet. Hopefully my post doesn't add to the rancor or offend anyone from opening up dialogue.

stats are largely meaningless when considering no two games are exactly the same and no two opponents are exactly the same.

You cannot predict football matches but what you can observe is who is on form and what teams are on form.

Pass completion and shots in the box don't matter a jot.

Taking stats on their own, with no interpretation, context or assessing others factors (such as why are the stats as they are) is a recipe for disaster. What do stats tell you? Nothing but what has happened in the past - some of it useful, some of it not.

They key is in how you decipher these stats and make them useful for predicting what happens in future games. To do this, you also must assess subjective factors and no matter how, much of a stats person you are, you are still basing it on your opinion- your subjective opinion of which stats are the best.

Looking to set up a little site/blog/something where I can throw up essays, articles, reviews etc.

What's the best free option? WordPress? Something else altogether. Any input appreciated.

    Butland
    Bellerin - Baines - Moreno
    Silva - Ozil - Payet - Alli
    Lukaku - Kane - Aguero

All you lucky folk with 8 playable forwards. I reckon Alli is your man for the bench this week. He's yet to do it at whl and I can't see enough goals in the game for him to get a share.

I shall start him because Stanislas would cry if someone nicked his seat.

Ighalo for me, Watford looked brutal away to Swansea and I could see this being a similar game. Lots of Spurs possession, Alli more likely to do something I think.

Which 3 defenders would you play this week?

    Azpi Cresswell Tony Wolly Smith?

Or worth using a FT to bring someone else in?

Daniel Sturridge prepared to quit Liverpool this summer

Striker considering his future after growing unhappy with club's portrayal of his injury problems

    So he's fit then?

I will sell Özil for Mahrez in gw27 no matter what.

So is it completely madness to sell him for two gws punt Firmino and then get Mahrez for Firm?

I would say Özil has a better chance of scoring points this week than Firmino.
