Ah cool no bothers thats grand. Does this mean that Spurs/ Everton will have 2 since their first game was delayed, or not necessarily?
Open ControlsThoughts on going with Turner over Brown for a Sunderland defender? The extra 0.2m saved would be very handy!
Open ControlsSomeone else on my wavelength. I'm 2 points and 0.2m up on the deal after this week, but only time will tell. It's a differential and I'm sure the 0.2 will come in handy, but I guess Brown is more likely to rise in price.
Open ControlsGlad it's worked out for you ... for at least 1 week anyway! Do you know if Turner was injured at the start of the season or whether Bruce fancied Bramble at the heart of a solid Sunderland defence instead (hard to believe I know)?
Open ControlsThink he just preferred Bramble - beyond comprehension, but it looks like he won't be back for a while, He's my 4th choice defender, but will be in while Newcastle have their tricky fixtures.
Open ControlsYeah I agree. He rotates nicely with Simpson. Looks like he has only just come back from an injury:
http://www.goal.com/en-gb/news/2896/premier-league/2011/10/27/2730926/sunderland-defender-michael-turner-hoping-for-more-cleanOpen Controls
Is he nailed on? The lower price would mean I could do my transfers after the international break and not have to beat the price rises.

This is my team: 0.0 in bank.
Vorm
Enrique | Lescott | Simpson
Silva | Allen | VDV | Ramsey
Aguero | Rooney | RVP
Subs: Ruddy | Dyer | Teriney | Gabbidon
Was thinking of doing:
OUT: Lescott, Allen, Ramsey & Rooney
IN: Kompany, Nani, Pilkington & Agbonlahor
Are these good moves?
Any other ideas?Open Controls104.7
Open Controls
Thinking of wildcarding, quickly created this team, not very original but thought it looked ok?
Ruddy - Vorm
Wilkinson - Jones - Kompany - Alex - Simpson
Van der Vaart - Silva - Drenthe - Eagles - Ramsey
Hernandez - Van Persie - Sturridige
few risks but could be ok, anyone?Open ControlsAlex is a bad choice ? Hernandez risky , and I'd rather take klasnic that sturridge.
The rest I great to me.Open Controls
Best cheap goalkeeper to rotate with Vorn?
Open ControlsKrul, but sticky fixtures ahead
Open ControlsKenny
Open Controlswas thinking of Kenny , QPR not going too badly
Open Controls
Front 3 of RVP, Gabby and Ade...stick or change one? (No other coverage from their teams)
Open Controlssame as me. got 41 points out of that trio pre-bps... i'm sticking for next gw
Open Controls
F*ck it. Drenthe and BAE in for a 4 pt hit, Petrov and Bosingwa out.
DONE!Open Controlsnow two weeks of damn i could of put him in instead! but decent transfers never the less
Open ControlsDecent moves playa.
Open ControlsCopycat (sort of).
Could you not afford Walker or is it just your love for BAE that made your decision?Open ControlsYou mad b*stard.
Open ControlsGood job Priest, finally some reasonable transfers. BAE I approve, but Rodwel could be better bet than Drente. Still considering my options.
Open Controlsfinally some reasonable transfers....
😆
Thought about Rodwell before the Newcastle game, but decided that his increase in output over the past few weeks is because he's been playing in a more advanced role with Cahill being injured. Once Cahill is back fit and in the side, Rodwell's returns to should revert back to 2,2,2,2,2,2.Open Controlsrodwell averaged 5 pts in 4 games to drenthes 10 in 2...swayed me
Open Controls
Are you insane;thats mad!
Open ControlsNow what are you going to do for the next two weeks?
Open ControlsEarly transfers? Wow things MUST be going bad
Open Controls
How long in advance will they announce when the TOT/EVE DGW is? Thought the current idea was that it will be GW14 - seems rather close?
Having 4 players from the two already if it comes around sooner that would be fantastic.Open ControlsSturridge > Dzeko or Suarez > Aguero. Already sold Bos for Wilkinson to free up some cash.
Open ControlsPetrov yes, Bos probably Tomoro or Tues after the initial rush of transfers.
Open ControlsPetrov yes. Bosingway only on -23 on FISO.
Open ControlsDone Drenthe. I'll decide Walker or BAE over the next couple of days. Not sure I really need the cash from BAE
Open ControlsYou may need that money in a few weeks time though.
To be honest, I think Walker is worth the extra 0.5, much greater attacking threat.Open ControlsBAE - 2 assists
Walker - 1 goal 1 assist
Not much in it so far but going forward Walker SHOULD do better.Open ControlsI did Bos and Ade---> BAE and RVP for a -4 this GW. I went for BAE as I will need the money over next few weeks.
It depends how long term the transfer is and if you have another issues in your team.Open Controls
Vorm (MNU)
BAE (AVL) Kolarov (NEW) Brown (FUL)
Ramsey (nor) Silva (NEW) Drenthe (WOL) VDV (c) (AVL)
RVP (nor) Torres (LIV) Adebayor (AVL)
Points ahoy!Open ControlsThe way this season has gone, it'll get 40 tops.
How's uni going fella?Open Controls
Wilkinson:
A: He will play the next 2 games,
B: He won't play themOpen ControlsInterested in hearing views about my team
Westwood (Vorm)
Jones, Walker, Kompany, BAE, Enrique
VDV, Silva (Watson,Fox, Reo Coker)
Sturridge, Rooney, RVP
.2 in the bankOpen ControlsToo much spent on your defence there fella downgrade 1 of you defenders and upgrade your midfield
Open Controls
Wildcard Team
Howard / Vorm
Simpson / Brown / N.Taylor / ShawX / Baines
Sess / Ramsey / VDV / Silva / Moses
RVP / Adebayor / Bendtner
0.3 in the Bank. Any suggestions??Open ControlsTwo more painful weeks as England gets tonked by Spain (or worse we get a draw and the deluded media has a fit) and then it's pure, unadulterated FPL. DGWs, the Xmas period, 2 GWs in a calendar week. This is what life's all about!
Open Controls76 points and i am still going to lose my h2h match. Unreal.
Open Controls76! Nice work. I'm on 60. If I hit the magic 60 then I'm happy. Bonus points will take that up a bit, probably close to 70.
Open ControlsNice, just got to wait and see what happens with the RVP and Nani assist hay! I might lose Nani this week, it would mean no attacking Utd coverage though...
Open ControlsI have Rooney for attacking coverage. I'd be going with none too if there was someone I really wanted up front. Got RVP and Bendtner. Man City strikers are frustrating and Ade suddenly doesn't seem such good value.
Rooney is still on pens after allOpen ControlsI'd keep Roon. He's got a few weeks off, should be playing higher up the pitch, great fixtures, i might still bring him in.
Ade + Nani -> Roon + DrentheOpen Controls
I HATE head to heads. Given them a complete swerve this season and i think it's helped my overall ranking somehow. Just less to worry about i guess
Open ControlsI don't base my transfers around them or anything like that but its frustrating that if i played anyone else in the league i would have won this week by a considerable margin.
Open ControlsI know the feeling mate. I went through a period last season where 3 weeks on the trot i was up against a team that had just played their wildcard. Bollox to that
Open Controls
WC activated...I feel a bit sick
Open ControlsThanks lads. I've brought in some risers....2 weeks of stress to follow...
Open Controls
How bad were Spurs today?! Beggars belief that they managed to get a result out of that game.
VDV - totally and utterly non-existent, Adebayor wasn't much better either.Open ControlsThey were awful. I still don't know how they won that, so frustrating!
Open ControlsThe sign of a champions league team - win when you play badly! Or something like that....
Open ControlsIt's going to be tight between, Arsenal, Spurs, Chelsea and the mighty Liverpool.
Open ControlsChelsea and Arsenal I reckon. Liverpool 6th or lower hopefully.
Open ControlsA lot depends on if Wilshere comes back this season and if Arsene will replace Song in January. Arteta has had a massive impact, he doesn't look like he's heavily involved but he keeps things ticking over.
Open Controls
Touch of champions. Or is that only when United/ Chelsea do it?
Open Controls
Thought on taking a 4 point hit?
Drenthe and Bentner in
Adebayor and Dyer out
Worth it or not?Open ControlsAde not scoring well last few weeks may just sit tight give him another week or 2
Open Controls
Sessegnon is a tempter.
Open ControlsI had Sessegnon end of last season and then start of this. Can't go back after getting rid before he actually got some points! Keeping Bendtner and going Walters and Drenthe for my 6m mids.
Open Controls+1 Sessegnon related nightmares earlier this season
Open Controls
+1. Need to make a straight choice of him or Drenthe for Cabaye. Can't bring myself to get Bendtner for Sturridge.
Open Controls
New article around the corner?
Open Controlsalwite guys, changes of BPs for VDV? Also why he get subbed after 65mins?
Open ControlsThoughts on Ade -> Bendtner, Cabaye -> Walters? I already have VDV for Spurs coverage.
Open ControlsActually reading back the last few pages it seems people are thinking along similar lines......
Open ControlsWhy is everyone getting so excited about Bendtner? Not a criticism, just wondering - he hasn't really been delivering this season. Why not someone like Agbonlahor or Ba?
Open ControlsFixtures is the only reason for me. Ba has been good but Newcastle's fixtures aren't the best. Gabby has a fair few away games coming up which he usually doesn't do well in and not the best home games. Basically Bendtner has FUL (H), WIG (H), WOL (A) which is appealing. Hoilett is another option.
Open Controls
I don't think selling Adebayor is a good move. He's in form and the main striker of a good side that likes to attack, and he's not overly expensive.
Open ControlsNever thought I would hear that about an Alex McLeish team
"Likes to attack"Open ControlsWith my cursed 3rd striker spot, it is with much dismay that I have dismissed Agbon this season. I think I have been too caught up in his away record, thinking his run would stop, Chelsea coverage instead of Villa (Sturridge as the cheapie), having 3 big hitters up top and McLeish equating to a lack of goals. A change in fixtures means he won't be an option for quite some time. Sad.
I have also been referring to Aguero as ''Ag'' without even considering Agbonlahor.Open Controls
What do people think of this transfer born out of frustration and upcoming fixtures
Nani - van der vart
Suarez - welbeckOpen ControlsRoon + Hernandez are Utd's 1st choice strikers
Open Controls
Sessegnon, Drenthe or Eagles in for M. Petrov?
Open ControlsJust thinking aloud.
So if this DGW for Spuds/Toffees does happen as soon as GW14, it may be worth looking at coverage.
The consistent point magnets for each side are Drenthe and VDV, respectively.
However, Tott's talent means the points are becoming spread and a bit of a lottery. The DGW is also making people keep Ade when he's clearly out of sorts. Walker/BAE are not long term in my opinion. See their last two goals conceded. Defoe, Bale, Lennon, Parker and Modric can all have their moment in the limelight.
Baines has to be discarded this year. It takes two transfers to get him in and then to get him out. This isn't practical without a WC involved. He's also not delivering the points and is not a captain candidate. Howard, Hibbert? Possibly one at a push. Rodwell AND Drenthe is silly. Cahill and Osman are overpriced. Saha? Nuff said.
Remember the DGW with the 2 Pools? They cancelled each other out so perhaps this isn't the one to be investing too much into.
I painfully remember GW24 last year, though. The most painful GW in living memory so nobody wants to be left under exposed. Before I cure insomnia, my ramblings have bought me to the following conclusion: Drenthe, VDV and possibly another Spurs MFer/ Ade should be all that's needed to benefit from the DGW and the fixtures there on after.Open Controlsagreed. However I think BAE/Walker do offer good attacking points so wouldnt discount completely
Open ControlsAgreed, and i would even say BAE is long term, as opposed against above, i mean, the only long term solid defender is kompany, everyone else is more or less hit and miss, so how can it be said he's not a long term choice? lol beats me, im keeping him for as long as possible 🙂
Open Controls
Team for next GW:
Vorm
Evans Jones Enrique
Drenthe Ramsey VdV Silva
Adebayor RvP Aguero
© to be decided.Open ControlsAll 3 defenders away from home? Who are your other 2?
Open ControlsAh ok, makes sense.
Have you already made your transfer(s) then?!?Open ControlsAye. Don't want to make a hit due to possible cups starting soon.
Open Controlshuh?
Open ControlsJust throwing it out there, but Evans = Not. That. Good.
Open ControlsGo for it. Just saying he's got as much chance of making my team as James Perch.
Open ControlsAh ok. About time one started.
Still don't understand the need for an early transfer but good luckOpen Controls
RVP surely. Evans still hanging around like a bad smell?
Open ControlsI'm going Vorm too. Who's your other GK? Mine's Given.
Open ControlsNo Utd attacking coverage? Not looking to get any in?
Open ControlsNot until they start scoring again, which in fairness will probably be soon with super TC back in the team.
Open ControlsThe Nani monster score is juuuuust around the corner now 8)
Open ControlsAre you keeping him Garg? Im thinking:
Nani + Ade -> Roon + RoystonOpen ControlsYeah I'm keeping for a while, and I'm definitely not selling Adebayor. I have so many worse players I need to get rid of first.
We'll have to monitor Nani over the break of course.
I'm not so sure about the bandwagons this week. Looks like BENDTNER and DRENTHE are the most popular choices, seriously fishy tbh.Open ControlsFear with Nani is Young, Giggs, Valencia and Park will all be fresh for the next fixture whereas Nani has an important qualifier.
Open Controls
Im looking to get Rooney in, he'll surely score big with this run of fixtures. I'll just wait for his price to drop. Would love Hernandez at 2m less but as good as he is, im not convinced by him so far this season.
Open Controls
Needing a bit of help lads. Got no free transfers and have 0.6 mill in the bank.
Vorm (Ruddy)
Enrique Richards Brown (Simpson Naylor)
Nani Silva VDV Ramsey (Dyer)
Adebayor Rooney Gabby
Do you think it is worth the hit Rooney to RVP?
Anything else you would do to this team?Open ControlsSo guessing thats a hell yea?
Open Controls
no free transfers? What did you do?
Open ControlsHaha Given to Vorm 😉 Free-ing up cash for another transfer.
Just went for it buddy!Open ControlsI got Vorm but cant play him at the right times! Will do Given to Ruddy GW13 or 14 myself. As for RVP, hop aboard I did finally this week as part of a 4pt hit. Got it back though!
Open ControlsWas thinking so too buddy, Arsenal have pretty gd fixtures actually... Think he might keep scoring over the next few.
Open ControlsI certainly wouldn't press any buttons yet for sure. You have cash left to cover RVP rise yeah? If you want Rooney back then you can downgrade Nani or hope Nani produces the points.
Open Controls
Sounds like a plan with your GK's though AJ.
Open ControlsFor me:
GW12 Cabaye ---> Drenthe or Sess
GW13 Given-->Ruddy
GW14 BAE--->Jones or De Laet--> Brown/Gabbidon/McAuley/Wilko
Plans hardly make it though...Open ControlsThat sounds like ur making the right choices... think the ones ur getting out are getting a bit bland now! Drenthe looks like an awesome transfer to make, he looks really promising especially if everton start playing!
Open ControlsI think I will go for it.
Do you think you will keep 3 big hitters in mid? I think the money balance in my team is just right now.Open ControlsI Might see how it goes for a little bit, but depending on who seems to be coming better out of the ManU games which i will see in the next game then i might downgrade Nani and upgrade to get Rooney again! Cause i think im pretty much gonna get in RVP now. Just depends how Rooney does, Nani does and also Adebayor does.
Open ControlsI cant click reply on you post for some strange reason...
Seems like the way to go. I am tempted to take 2 x 4pt hits to sort of my mess above! Having VDV and Ade could be very frustating and pleasant different weeks! I for one am finall glad I got RVP. If only I kept the faith after his non showing vs Swansea ....Open Controls
I guess this is my defence next game week
Vorm, Shawcross, PJones, Brown
(Woodgate, Simpson, Ruddy)Open Controlshas to be provided shawcross is fit, if not woodgate is there
