As the race for the title heats up with just ten rounds of fixtures remaining, FantasyBet have made their latest big pot live, with a £3,000 contest coming up in Gameweek 31 – look out for qualifiers over the next couple of weeks or enter now for a £22 entry fee.
For the upcoming weekend we have some intriguing match-ups to consider before picking our squads. The North London derby’s customary hectic nature is set to continue and, with Spurs and Arsenal losing crucial midweek ties, this clash could be a turning point for both their title aspirations.
Manchester City also need to bounce back from defeat and are fortunate to be facing an Aston Villa team that look destined for the Championship. Leicester City, meanwhile, will be buoyed by the fact that Wednesday’s results meant they extended their lead at the summit with a home draw against West Brom the previous day. The Foxes now head to Vicarage Road with a three-point advantage ahead of Saturday evening’s late kick-off.
At Stamford Bridge a resurgent Chelsea should take advantage of a Stoke defence hit by injuries, while West Ham remain in the hunt for a European spot as they visit Goodison Park to face free-scoring Everton. Swansea’s win at the Emirates will have attracted extra attention in their chief protagonists prior to a home match against Norwich.
If you are unfamiliar with FantasyBet it is particularly accessible for those who play Fantasy Premier League, as it uses a similar scoring and player pricing system.
Check out this daily and weekly fantasy guide to see how the game works.

KEY PICKS
Kasper Schmeichel: The league leaders may be away from the King Power on Saturday evening but they travel to a Watford side that have failed to score in six of their last eight outings. The Danish keeper has kept six clean sheets in ten for the Foxes, indicating an underlying solidity, and his 16 saves over the last four away ties also signals extra points.
Vincent Kompany: Manchester City’s defence has tended to benefit from their captain’s presence – prior to his recent return from injury, the Belgian recorded seven clean sheets in eight appearances. Despite conceding five goals over the last two, Kompany looks likely to get back amongst the points as goal-shy Aston Villa visit the Etihad.
Gylfi Sigurdsson: Utilised as a second-half sub at the Emirates, the Swansea playmaker still found time to provide an assist in the 2-1 comeback win. Sigurdsson has also netted five times in the last nine Gameweeks ahead of a plum home clash with Norwich’s porous defence.
Sergio Aguero: The City striker may have been kept quiet by Liverpool and Spurs in recent outings but he’s still managed six strikes in as many matches, including braces against Palace and West Ham. The visit of basement-dwellers Villa should see Aguero return to form this weekend, with the Argentine voted the runaway winner in this week’s Captain Poll.
THIS WEEK’S GAME PICKS
As always the best place to start if you’re new to FantasyBet are the freerolls – there is a £50 pot available for this Gameweek in both the standard weekly fantasy game and Flash format.
For the fixtures on Saturday there is a Double-up contest, which has a £3.30 buy-in, and there’s a £150 pot on offer.
The Grand Weekend contest only misses the match at White Hart Lane, so line-ups can be entered right up until the 3pm kick-offs. It’s now £11 to enter for a chance to win part of the £1000 guaranteed prize money.
LAST WEEK
My bad run continued, as backing both Arsenal and Spurs proving to be foolhardy in the quest to improve my dwindling pot. I’m now on £145 and need to pick up even a small win or two to arrest the slump. Sonova won the free-roll with 82 points, an impressive host of differential paying off with considerable hauls – Juan Mata, Danny Drinkwater, James Milner and Ramiro Funes Mori all bringing 10 points or more.
THIS WEEK’S STAKE
I’m entering the Saturday Double-up contest, the Weekend Flash, the Cheap Sunday, the freerolls and entering a team into the FFScout Picks League for a total outlay of £11.
In addition, I’ll be going up against BabyB, the Community champion in this week’s Scout Picks. He will be taking me on in a specially set up head to head game for a chance to win free entry into a £500 Guaranteed ‘Big Weekly’ game worth £22.
Also, the eligible Community Champion who beats the Scout Picks by the highest margin every month will win a free entry into the £600 guaranteed ‘Boss’ game worth £55.
FFSCOUT PICKS LEAGUE
Dada topped the Scout Picks League with a score of 58 points – captain Diego Costa provided 12 points, while a double-up of Stoke defenders also delivered, with Jack Butland and Philip Wollscheid providing 15 between them.
Once again, FantasyBet have provided a £100 pot for the FFScout Picks League – with a £1.10 stake for entry, it is now possible to enter two teams into this contest. I will enter our Scout Picks as closely as possible, given a 15-man squad is required with the 100m budget and a captain also needs to be selected.
Feel free to go up against them this week and pick your own squad on FantasyBet.
