It is now time to throw in some extra variables that might just sway that last minute transfer or selection decision, as we parley with Paddy Power to collect their odds on where goals will and won’t be scored over the weekend matches.

Before we scan the data we should remind those of you without a Paddy Power account that you can grab yourself a variety of deals with enhanced odds over the Gameweek’s top matches.

Naturally, it all starts with the early kick-off with odds of 8/1 available on a Spurs win over Arsenal in the North London derby clash. The evening’s live encounter at Vicarage Road is covered by an offer of 7/1 on a win for Leicester over Watford. Then, in Sunday’s encounters, you can get 7/1 on a Liverpool win at Selhurst Park against an out-of-sorts Crystal Palace outfit.

This weekend’s “Euro Acca” offer dangles odds of 20/1 on wins for Chelsea (vs Stoke), Man City (vs Villa), Real Madrid (vs Celta Vigo), PSG (vs Montpellier) and Bayern Munich (at Dortmund).

Be sure to check the terms and conditions on all those offers and, of course, we should state that all these specials are only available to those aged 18. If you’re going to wager, always gamble responsibly.

We’re witnessing some of the shortest odds of the season ahead of Manchester City’s clash with bottom club Aston Villa. Not surprisingly, Manuel Pellegrini’s men are being heavily backed by Paddy and that’s immediately obvious from Sergio Aguero’s skimpy odds of just 1.44 on an anytime goal at the Etihad.

As reflected in our landslide Captain Poll results, the bookmaker appear convinced that Aguero will get to deal damage on Remi Garde’s beleaguered outfit. Villa have conceded 11 goals in their previous three outings and even though the Argentine drew blanks against Tottenham Hotspur and Liverpool, he’s surely likely to come out of today’s encounter with profit in what is expected to be a very comfortable afternoon for Pellegrini’s men. With a glut of goals potentially on offer, Paddy also price Wilfried Bony (1.72), Kelechi Iheanacho (1.83), Raheem Sterling (2.20) and Yaya Toure (2.37) favourably.

With two goals in his last three outings, Romelu Lukaku (1.72) boasts good form before West Ham United’s visit. Given that the Irons failed to register a clean sheet in their previous five away fixtures, the Belgian frontman looks a strong bet following his strike at Villa in midweek.

Having bagged five goals in seven starts prior to Chelsea’s home tie against Stoke City, Diego Costa (1.90) has been pinpointed the fourth-most likely scorer in the Gameweek. The Blues frontman will be buoyed by the fact that opponents Stoke City have shipped seven goals in their last trio of road clashes. If we take Guus Hiddink on his word, Costa will be rested for part of today’s outing, perhaps being given an hour to muster his seventh goal in what would be his last ten Premier League appearances.

In light of injuries to Shane Long and Charlie Austin, Graziano Pelle (2.10) will spearhead Southampton’s attack when they clash with Sunderland at St Mary’s Stadium. The Italy international hasn’t netted since Gameweek 11, which means Paddy’s faith in him is somewhat surprising. Pelle’s standing is no doubt boosted by the Black Cats’ record on the road – with 37 goals conceded and just a single clean sheet – no defence has been more obliging on their travels.

Harry Kane has notched three goals in two North London derbies, which could encourage punters back him at an attractive 2.20. As for the league’s top scorer, Jamie Vardy, he comes in at 2.40 for Leicester’s trip to a Watford side that rank joint-second-bottom with regards to goals conceded (five) since Gameweek 22.

Once again, Man City’s expected dominance over Villa skews Paddy’s odds. Pellegrini’s men are overwhelming favourites to seal a shut-out, this despite shipping eight goals in their last three league encounters. However, Villa have registered just three goals in their last six matches and that is clearly a factor in a match that City are expected to win by some margin.

Meanwhile, Chelsea (2.10) are ranked next, with Paddy fancying them to silence a Stoke attack that’s turned a corner of late, recording six goals in three outings. Guus Hiddink’s side have conceded a goal in each one of their last four and with Marko Arnautovic in the mood, we may just see Mark Hughes men trouble the Blues rearguard that will again be without the presence of John Terry.

Despite carding consecutive defeats, Southampton (2.20) lay claim to six clean sheets since Gameweek 21 and face a Sunderland side that drew a blank in their most recent away match-up. Meanwhile, Manchester United’s (2.29) odds look generous given their array of injury concerns at the back and the fact that West Brom will go into that clash having scored five in their previous two outings.

Swansea look a safer bet. They are without a shut-out in six but will take on a struggling Norwich side with just a single goal in their last five away trips.

Everton (2.60) and Liverpool (2.62) have been handed very similar odds for their duels this weekend. The Toffees restricted their opponents to just two goals in their last four matches but will face an in-form West Ham unit fresh from back-to-back 1-0 home wins. Liverpool will go to Palace in pursuit of their third successive shut-out and the potential absence of Eagles striker Connor Wickham through injury will be vital to their chances.

    Am i Good to go?

N London derbies have goals, i've gone wuth özil over Alli as he is central to EVERYTHING Arsenal do when they score, and Alli's now famed away form. Right or not? Other option is play both, hope for a goal-fest and bench Vardy away to a tight Watford at home.

    Forster
    VVD Targett Williams
    Mahrez Silva Siggy Özil
    Kuhn C Kane Vardy
