            That's another thing. Dropped 60 pounds, which ok isn't a lot but still, on fantasybet to watch my teams fail. I have tadic on one bench, siggy on another. Kun captained. Everything is just a horror show.

                And ironically as I have other accounts that I don't use (that are linked to my ufpl teams) and I don't even transfer or anything and haven't looked at in weeks. Checked them today, one of them has 35 points! 35 points with no full 11 or anything.

    United looks awesome for DGW34 but for not DGW 37 they have Norwich and West Ham. I am sure they would lose to West Ham. And what if Norwich went on a survival spree and won the last 5-6 games. These relegation teams cannot be predicted. Lingard looks awesome for DGW34 though

      Many many variables but from the above teams I'd go with those players yep. Others to consider are ars def, sanchez (terrifying not to have for DGW), barkley, Coleman, Antonio.

          I agree then. Gradually start bringing some probable GW 34 DGW players in you have a good core. Maybe try to free some cash as you might want to get a forward? (Costa?)

    That Yaya injury was a stroke of genius, surely led many to pick Silva instead and he's been an awful pick for some time. Now deadwood to remove and take up a transfer, luckily many in my league fell into the trap.

    Great week so far, lots of pts hits being taken, one casual in my league who's hitting nosebleed territory took a 12pt hit and brought in Ayew, bet he's throwing up into his cornflakes this morning.

      I wouldn't say silva has necessarily been a bad pick; city's fixtures, decent form, plum fixture this wk, DGW, game in GW35, all combined with us having a spare spot in MF for a luxury buy made him a viable option.

        Decent form? 2 assists in 7 games is not any kind of form I'd get excited over. But that's the beauty of Silva this week, the writing was on the wall.

          I meant city's form. But you're mistaken I'm afraid. 7 games prior to Norwich (which is obviously what we're taking about when considering him as an option for getting him in this GW)- 1 goal/3 assists averaging 5pts per game. Not too shabby in my eyes. Being up against Norwich's woeful defence too, off the back of looking back to somewhere near his best vs villa. What's not to like when there's limited options elsewhere?

            So many flaws in your argument, firstly my granny would score a hattie against Villa but that doesn't make her an in form player. The 7 games were including this one, hence the 2 assists in 7. City have decent form? Their away form is appalling, utter muck. If you check some of the tables people were throwing around prior to this weekend you would have seen Silva doesn't feature on any of them, 1 shot on goal in the last 10 games for example. Hardly the mark of someone lighting up the prem. But then he's one of the best players in the league so why not own him, all else aside...

              U said he was a terrible option for this week, so don't try cherry pick your stats please. Clearly we didn't know he would blank this wk, hence why we don't include it. Let's not speak in hindsight. Villa are the worst team in the league, yes, but Norwich aren't far off. Did u expect them to hold City to less than 2 goals? If so, well done. Not many saw that coming.
              With silva, much like KDB and ozil, we look at him for mainly his assist potential. I can't argue that his stats had been poor but you've dismissed all the pertinent facts I gave u. Stats are stats; they dont give the full story.
              Being a top player just means he's more liable to produce when stats aren't so good than a non top player, which is why i mentioned that. What rank are u sitting at?

                Bring a top players has delivered only 2 assists in 7 games, no matter how much flair, creativity, threat, whatever you want to call it was displayed. You don't need me to tell you this (or maybe you do?) but real life football, and fantasy football can often be quote different. So yes he was a terrible option. Don't worry I did consider picking him for a nanosecond but no I didn't see City routing Norwich like loads did, so much so that I doubled up on City defence and captained Kane this week. So far so good. And now I don't have to worry about removing one of the 'best players in the league' from a side in 'decent form' to get a player that's actually going to score points for me.

                My rank has suffered a lot recently, currently sat at 50k but with all chips to play I'm still hopefully of a top 5k. How you getting on?

      Vardy hasn't scored or assisted for 3 games so I'm not overly hopeful. The other thing is he's only got 3 double digit hauls all season, probably a reason so few captained him. I have Kane captain and my rival doesn't even own Kane so I'm hoping he gets punished today.

      Well very few serious managers will have Aston Villa players and only a few with Newcastle. That means you could only have a realistic maximum of 6 players left with (c). You're almost certain to rise again, but don't expect too much - many casuals will have loaded up already on Spurs and City.

      My prediction? 34K
