Finding it really tricky trying to work out how to sell blankGW player/s for Costa in GW35. I guess this is why people are keeping Kane

Having 6 blank players doesn't really work. 5 max might be better

I plan to take a hit, 3 transfers, lose expensive mid for probably willian, bump welbeck up to Costa, downgrade a defender.

Bit vague but my rough plans

Yeah, needs must. Depends a lot I guess on 34. I'm betting my whole season on it. I may not care by 35 if my rivals destroy me

I'm thinking I'd probably rather stick with my team and just make a defensive change and carryover 2FTs for 36. Chelsea will be ripe for rotation as well

    Schmeichel, Butland
    Toby, Dawson, Williams, Fran, Fonte
    Eriksen, Siggy, Mahrez, Payet, Stan
    Aguero, Vardy, Kane

    1ft, 5.3m in bank.
Poor fixtures for almost all of this team next GW.

Who would you say is more important for the next 2 weeks?

    Payet (CPL, ARS), or
    Ozil (WAT, whu)

I will have both of them come GW34, but can only get 1 this week without hits.

Have Sanchez and Bellerin from the 2 teams so far.

Probably not worth rushing it for 0.1m given the IB though. I think I'm swaying towards Payet also - gives me extra cash for a GK upgrade if I do decide to save the WC till 36.

    Elliot Adrian
    Simpson Bellerin Sakho Smalling Olsson

Assuming the backbone for GW33 WCers is:

    LIV MUN WBA
    Ozil Firmino Payet
    Aguero Lukaku

Lots of teams will be different based on Team Value and who they can afford.

Will be an interesting end to the season.

I'm not sure about liv or wba defence tbh. I'd rather keep fuchs than get in dawson for the sake of it. That being said, I'd rather go with liv defender than wba with NEW up in GW35. Definitely getting ddg and another united def.
If all fit, your front 5 will definitely be the foundation for me too. Sanchez too if value allows

Unrelated question for the Hammers fans in the house. I want a West Ham player - should I go for Antonio or Payet?

Antonio with 3 goals in 4 games, Payet with 1 over the same period. Antonio would be a fantastic differential, but Payet has had a fantastic season so far.

      Thoughts?

And to answer your question...I've had Daniels since GW23 and just sold him; I think that train has come and gone. Everton has been on a sh!t run of form, but I think they'll finish strong - they have to with the kind of fixtures they have ahead of them.

My telly blew during the powercuts yesterday (we're on a week of staggered leccy over here at the moment).
Had to 'watch' the games on this forum. Mildly amusing but not brilliant. Same again tonight though, with all the Kun Kane banter. It's going to be troubling.

Gotta say I appreciate the posters who put up factual comments live in the games. Absolute necessity for me at the moment. Cheers BembaDa.

For people planning on using BB in DGW37, are you not worried about teams having nothing to play for/resting bigger players? The assurance of arsenal and united playing their best players combined with better fixtures in gw34 makes BB34 an easy decision for me. Plus, the increase in prices by Gw37 will make it very hard to get in who you want, given the mass purchases that will inevitably happen in the next few weeks for teams that end up having a DGW in both weeks

    1. Jinswick
      • Fantasy Football Scout Member

It's a risk for sure, but WHU, MUN & LIV will likely still be in the hunt for top 4 come GW36 so I don't expect much rotation. If EVE and WAT make it to the FA cup final then I'd expect some rotation there, but if they don't then I'd expect them to go full strength as well.

I'm still undecided on which week is best to BB. Can see strong positives with both options.

        • 15 Years
        9 years, 9 months ago

Ya there are positives to both but I feel WC33 is a far stronger option taking everything into consideration. I'd rather take the better fixtures and guaranteed big hitters playing in 34.

Nice rank last yr man, that is some quality consistency! I'll almost definitely be holding fuchs and mahrez. Alli and simpson then are the only other considerations. Shipping kane for sure, need the money and not crazy about being away to stoke. What are your plans?

Cheers. Yeah last season was amazing - will never get that close again!

I'm really 50:50 about whether or not to WC in 33. Main positives with saving the WC until 36 being:

              1) I really like the idea of keeping 4-5 TOT & LEI players through 35 (if doing that on a WC then possibly a waste of a 34 BB?)
              2) 34 looks the best option for TC imo - Ozil or possible Sanchez
              3) I can get a reasonable 11 out in 34 for not hits - see below:

              ELLIOT
              BELLERIN, ROJO, JEVANS
              SANCHEZ, OZIL, FIRMINO, Mahrez
              AGUERO, MARTIAL, Kane

              Hennessey, Alli, Simpson, Wolly

I think I could get a similar 11 out with no hits too but I really am out off the idea of falling behind from a strong position in all my MLs and then guessing who's gonna play both games in Dgw37. Minefield at that stage of season imo for DGW teams except whm and utd, who have better fixtures in 34. I feel payet is a great TC option in 37.

Will not select players who I think might be rested. And the likely pool is actually quite cheap, annoyingly for me, as I've a rich team. Having looked at the options, I think there are plenty who also have good gw36 and/or gw38 games.

Wellbeck nailed, seems a good option for 35 and Price friendly to? Can also go on the win if need be.

Either him or Martial to go with Lukaku and Aguero

No, almost definitely not. As much as I like him, his fixture is quite tough that week and moreover he really restricts the flexibility of the rest of squad. Right now I'll be holding onto fuchs and mahrez only but alli is the only other I'm really considering. U?

On penos as of now and 2 of the best fixtures all season I feel martial is a fantastic pick, but will have to see over next few. It'll take something very off putting for me to opt away from him

If WCing in GW33, how would you use the 2 FTs here?

    A) Hennessey & Eriksen -> DDG/Butland/Cech/Ospina & Payet
    B) Hennessey & Erksen -> Ruddy & Ozil
    C) Kompany & Eriksen -> Koscielny & Payet (benching headache)
    D) Kompany & Eriksen -> Azpil & Ozil (benching headache)

    Elliot
    Bellerin, Simpson, Wolly
    Sanchez, Mahrez, Arnie, Eriksen
    Aguero, Kane, Vardy

    Hennessey, Alli, JEvans, Kompany
    Bank 1.3m, 2FT

Yeah, looks the best to me, although means I'm stuck with Elliot and have a benching headache in defence.

Would A) with Ospina (or Cech if he's back) not be better?

I think Elliot away to Norwich is an ok option. Evans and wolly on bench for me out of those. Sun scrapping and swans always have a goal in them. I understand the attacking bench dilemma. I'd probably bench eriksen of those gun to my head.
I would've said (A) only for the lack of certainty around cech injury. Would be disgusting to get the wrong one in. If it's clearer closer to the time then it might make more sense to go that route.

Cheers. Yes I think you're right - if going C then Wolly drops to the bench. Eriksen will be gone (for Payet) and I'm with benching Alli (liv) versus the other 7 attackers.

Getting Cech/Ospina wrong would be so disgusting.

    Morning DZers!!

So this is where i am now, with one last punt before my WC...

    Butland
    Bellerin - Fuchs - Williams
    Özil - Firmino - Sigurdsson - Mahrez - Alli
    Aguero - Kane - Vardy

    Forster - Alli - Alderweireld - Daniels

I have a number of options as I see it:

    A) Ozil > Sanchez (not sure I can fiy both into my WC and WAT is a great fixture)
    B) Alli > Willian/Fabregas (then would probably be benching Siggy)
    C) Alli > Payet (pre-empting a deffo WC player, and avoiding price rises)

Which of the above do you like, or do you see any better options?

I know what you mean - I'm looking at a 1 week punt before wildcard with my 2x FT's.
I was all set on Siggy + Alli to Sanchez + Traore, but then Trore was benched.
Now trying to figure out the best attacking WHU option other than Payet (who I already have) for the 2nd punt...

Aye, but with currently thinking of getting rid of Siggy and Alli to get Sanchez and 1 other, then I can't do that due to £.
Guess I could ditch Silva instead of Alli for the other punt and go with Fab for 1 week.

    Schmeichel, Butland
    Toby, Dawson, Williams, Fran, Fonte
    Eriksen, Siggy, Mahrez, Payet, Stan
    Aguero, Vardy, Kane

    1ft, 5.3m in bank.
Poor fixtures for almost all of this team next GW.
    Considering a WC now.

What would be your next move here??

Might move Eriksen on, if you're not intending to keep him in your WC. Perhaps for a Chelsea midfielder.

You could probably do that for Stan too, which would give you a benching dilemma, but if you're not happy with your fixtures maybe that won't be such a dilemma.

I was going to, but I've come round to the fact now it may be better to leave the likes of Fuchs, Mahrez and Kane in my side.

Some people have argued it's then a waste to BB, but I would challenge anyone who'd used it outside of a DGW to tell me they had lined up a bench better than:

DGW Keeper - Kane - Mahrez - Fuchs

I was also starting to really feel I'd destroy my team in search of DGW haul, but I feel much more comfortable with this approach.

The above plan, in addition to the 3 SGWers I'll keep, leaves with with an additional 4 that are already in my starting line-up anyway.

I really like the idea of keeping Fuchs. Can see him outscoring the likes of WBA/NEW defs even in the dgws.
Mahrez/Vardy might be able to get away with as Leicester have slowed down on scoring goals.
Kane I think you can only get away with keeping if you have a very high TV (110+) without gimping the rest of your team

I get your point of view and understand it completely and also see why it makes sense to you. For the large part my plan was identical, literally, just Simpson not Fuchs. My plans changed when I just couldn't have the flexibility I wanted. I wanted 5 heavy hitting mids, I needed to lose Kane and mahrez for that.
Now my plans may be change again, but for the moment I will plan for 3 things. 15dgw in 34, 11 starters in 35 and at least 11 dgw in 37.

I also see you point, and I may well change my view again before the GW33 comes around. Mahrez at home isn't as strong an option as he is away, which is one thing putting me off keeping him.
