Exactly what I thought would happen with regard BB is coming to fruition.

There are SGW'ers I don't want to get rid of in the DGW, meaning playing BB in 34 is the same as about 20 GW's ago when i had a really strong bench (form and fixtures) and wanted to play it then. Only difference is now the SGW'ers don't have great fixtures.

    Meh

      Yeah interesting point.

I'll probably only have an extra 6 players using it (2 DGW and 2 sgw)

Some great scores again this week.
Well, it sounds like most of the veterans have recovered their seasons over the last few months and original targets are back on track - me not so much.
My target is now to beat my previous lowest ranking so I need to make up just over 300,000 till the end of the season and with all my chips & a WC it's just about possible. Damage limitation I think it's called!

What's everyones target for the run-in to end of the season?

For sure! 🙂 Not even possible anymore thanks to those FPL nazis! boooooo

Although tbf that doesn't take a great amount of skill. Just time on your hands, an F5 button and a bit of luck.

Back-to-back Top 200 finishes is a much more impressive claim to fame 😉

Kane in for Vardy has been one of my better transfers, feels good to finally get a haul from Harry. Vardy over Kane a few weeks back was a poor call.

Also, as an Ozil owner and a Payet non-owner I will definitely be bringing Payet in next GW but will be holding Ozil as I have far to much TV wrapped up in him considering the upcoming DGW and non-blank GW35

    Up to 3,091 OR

I wouldn't consider myself a good FPL manager by any means, I like to just play the game for what it is, make a balanced team, the odd punt here and there and hope for the best.

Seem to be getting green arrows every week recently simply for getting the (C) right. Or one might say for going with the crowd out of fear, in case a punt goes awry and the masses thrive leaving you behind in the rankings.

I think this season there is a lot of fear-based decision-making with so many in-form players having such a high ownership like Mahrez, Vardy, Ozil, Alli, Kane, Aguero, Lukaku. That's 6 of your front 8. It is very hard to step outside of these players meaning you have 2 punts perhaps to try and make up ground from non-captaincy points.

In a way it's a very "sit back and relax" approach because 6 out of 8 players you have won't make much of difference once you get into that top 10,000 bracket. Maybe it's just me but I do find it a little boring actually, hence why I went with Wijnaldum this week instead of Sigurdsson. I was actually so bored with following the crowd that I went with quite a maverick move and luckily it paid off despite burning my AOA chip for Arnie (3) and leaving Simpson/ Toby (6) on the bench 😕

Can't wait for GW33 wildcard, as many teams will differ although there will be a pool of 6-8 players that will seem to dominate in the squad of 15. But ultimately things will be shaken up then and perhaps it will get a bit more exciting or at least, less monotonous.

I have 2FT to use this GW before WC in 33 and BB 34.

Any harm in doing Siggy to Payet now before price change and save other FT for after the internationals are played?

Anyone apart from me and Greenwindmill part of the happy Eriksen differential gang? Goal imminent table success story of GWK 31.

Here's the latest going into GWK 32. http://members.fantasyfootballscout.co.uk/my-stats-tables/view/6070/

Its filtered by matches to take into account blanks which is why Rooney is there. Ignore him. Rest ready for action in a couple of weeks.

Not really. Maybe. Bellerin appeals more...clean sheet and assist potential there.

You'll rue this Jonty! I sense a double at least. Watford were abysmal against Stoke and I can see Arsenal propelling on in a must win match. Alexis set to brace, mark my words!!

Two shots on target over the last four doesn't scream goal glut though from Alexis.

I'm trying to work out who to remove for Payet: Siggy, Eriksen or Alli. Recent stats suggest two of those are more expendable than the other one.

Very risky to dump Alli though given his ownership...

      1. Lizard Lips
        • 13 Years

Alli looked more likely to score points today. Stats are misleading. I'd drop Siggy out of those 3.

Sadly, I wasn't able to see the Spurs game. Thanks for the summary! A game against Stoke seems a little more attractive than a game against Liverpool though...

Don't you think a certain Wilfred is proof these tables/stats are pointless. Obviously combined with actually watching they have a use but on their own very misleading. Eriksen doesn't look that good to me as an FPL prospect at all. Alli and Kane is enough and Alli clearly a better FPL prospect value for money wise.

Who looks at any one stat, game, player on its own? That would be mad.

You have to take a range information points to come to a decision and those tables say he was shooting a lot, creating a lot and being in attacking positions.

I do question you thinking he doesn't look like an FPL prospect though. Third highest scoring midfielder in FPL this season. Sounds like a great fantasy player. 🙂 (granted though alli's price and ownership as well as no dgwks do diminish him going as a transfer target)

I don't get bogged down with these was it wasn't type discussions. End up getting tied in knots. He was in an attacking position and the FPL observers say it was an assist - that's good enough for me.
