Anyone looking at WC33 eyeing up pellè home to NEW that week and then ship out in BB34? Just occurred to me. Should be ok in gw35 with this in mind

With injuries and bans etc. I don't think I can afford using a transfer on a one week punt.

I think the reward might outweigh the risk here if we can save 2/3 leic/tott, 3 ars, 2/3 liv, 2/3 city heading into gw35. Then seems a straight swap back to pellè away to villa that wk for martial or whoever our 3rd striker is behind aguero and lukaku

No. We shouldn't be doing any on 34 to save a FT for blank-filled 35.

I get that but unless we get awfully unlucky with injuries, surely we can plan accordingly to allow for this?

Depends on your WC 33 team. How many in that team have a game in 35? Mine has 9 so I need 2 transfers to get 11 players for GW 35.

Been chopping and changing all week long but currently on 10 and that's if I go with 2 liv but much depends on firmino's fitness by then and if sturridge has strung a few games together, so could be 11

That's good man. I'm doubling up on Man U defence plus Rashford, getting 2 West Ham. Would probably end up with 9.

              DDG, Elliot
              Smalling, Sakho, Cresswell, McAuley, Bellerin
              Coutinho, Firmino, Payet, Ozil, Mahrez
              Lukaku, Kun, Rashford

Any similarities? I want nailed-on players only. Rashford might not be one but he will allow me to have good defenders.

Well Williams > Fuchs is not possible, have 3 LEI players already.

Siggy > Ozil is a good call. Waiting for news on him.

    Morning all!

    Green or red this weekend?

Very, very small green for me, 293-291k.

Bringing in Sissoko instead of Wijnaldum and captaining Sigurdsson instead of Kane hurt but wasn't the end of the world.

At least I didn't lose out by benching Silva in the end.

              Currently on this:

              DDG - Elliot
              Bellerin - Koscielny - Fuchs** - Simspon** - Reid
              Ozil - Payet - Firmino - Mahrez** - Alli**
              Kun - Lukaku - Kane**

Considering losing one of the Spurs boys for Lanzini/Antonio/Sturridge but I might monitor a week..

Nobody around Simpson's price tempts me 😐

Green, up to 14.3k from 19k with 85, tough week. Benching Wijnaldum and doing Vardy to Lukaku, both moves I was hugely unsure about, put a slight dampener on it, but a good week.

I've never been a fan of him, didn't want him when he joined and I was eating my words in his 1st season, but that was built on Moyes's foundations. The longer Martinez is there the more those foundations deteriorate, and he doesn't have the answers; he's putting his stamp on the team, which is basically a rich-man's Wigan. A cup win would be glorious, our 1st since I was 4 years old, but it would really be papering over the huge cracks.

Really not sure about keeping Kane on my WC...

Sturridge, Vardy, Martial, Pelle, Welbeck all decent alternatives for a much lower price.

Kane has the form, but after playing Villa and Bournemouth, his next fixtures are much harder. Definitely won't be losing Alli due to his price, but is it worth a double up on Spurs or not... Hmm..

Are they good alternatives though? I mean, they're cheaper, but other than Vardy, none are anywhere near keeping pace with him. Obviously depends what you do with the cash though.

That's the big question, he has no doubt been the forward of choice the last 5 games, but will he be for the next 5?

With Sturridge having a potential extra game (which may actually be cancelled out by Europa rotation).

liv / MUN / stk / WBA / che doesn't look TOO primed for points.. 😐

Did Sturridge not get injured again yesterday or did I mishear/read incorrectly? Even if not, that's obviously a big issue - Kane is seemingly indestructible.

A concern on bringing in players involved in the FA Cup semis for the first double:

Looking at how indifferent Everton, Palace and Watford played, should we be concerned as they seemingly only have eyes on the Cup? Only Manu and West Ham showed fighting spirit, probably due to them chasing a European dream and Manu was in a derby.

Let's not forget that the 2nd match of the first double is being played just days before the FA Cup semis. So we should expect managers to rest key players so that they can have a final chance on a silverware this season.

    20th of April:
    LIV vs EVE
    WHA vs WAT
    MUN vs PAL

24th of April: FA Cup semis

    Thoughts?

Teams that I believe are crucial for a successful DGW WC

      Arsenal
      Man Utd
      West Ham
      Man Cty

These are the teams that will be fighting tooth and nail for a top 4 spot. Maybe add Liverpool as they still think they are a top 4 club.

Currently only have DDG and Kun from their respective teams.

Payet + Reid from West Ham, considered getting Lanzini/Antonio but Alli is just representing such good value at the moment... Tough to drop him..

3 City should be a given as they have a GW35 fixture. A bit tough with West Ham and United due to the GW35 blank but its possible with 2FT's in the lead up to the blank.

Who would ya even want from City though?

Hart + Kompany out at the back..
Silva + Sterling out of form..

Yaya is the only other one I'm considering. Would LOVE KdB back in my team but can't afford him with Kane.. Might change that by DGWs.

A month from initial reports. Which will put him right in between the double when he returns.

KdB also needs at least a few full matches to return to full match fitness/sharpness, which might be out of reach for the double.

Well, judging by previous responses, then it seems the average team without using WC will get 7 or 8 DGW player out, so people who do WC and use BB and decide to go for 13, 14 or 15 players are probably looking at the region of an extra 20-40pts?

But it's really hard to say because people are talking about ditching assets which just keep on giving, so no telling for sure a SGW player doesn't outscore the DGWers, so then it's just a keeper, 2 defenders and a midfielder getting an extra game, which could be worth nothing.

I'm not bench boosting in 34 so I won't be collecting those points.

I'll collect them in 37, however, so hopefully that haul is a better one than 34, but it's a coin toss.

When I first said I'm all in for 15 DGW players I mentioned it was easy to say but would get harder closer to the time.

I'm feeling nervous I must admit. I was the same as you for most the season - going all in was the way but i'm now doubting I will do this.

I think Mark should start to feel less sorry for those who are with no WC or BB and are "going to have to" keep the likes of Mahrez, Vardy, Kane etc 🙂

Why not go all in on the second DGW when there's only one fixture remaining in the calendar to damage to unbalanced squads?

Seems collective wisdom dictated without really explaining why 34 and all in was best, but have always edged towards a "mixed 34" and all in 37 since the DGW's got announced. Seems more logical, especially when taking 35 into question also.

I cant believe Hart is injured, brought him in specifically to be my DGW keeper. Have Hennessey as a backup but he cant keep a cleansheet to save his life.

In the exact same situation. Was planning to hold on to my WC until GW36, but my DGW players are dropping like flies... Will hold still for now and cross my fingers that at least Ozil, and hopefully Hart (and Kompany, who is not in my team, but looks essential for Hart CS) will be back in time.

Kun (c) wiped out my 31 point lead in my ML. He has used his WC though, so not too fussed. My main reason to do that was to get a leg up on the hordes of Kane (c) on here.
My lesson learnt, follow the FFS crowd, you won't go wrong in a casual ML.

If in an FFS ML then the situation is obviously different.

Could have easily stayed in LMS by going dullard cap but tried to be too different.

Also, now that I am off the pressure of LMS-dullardness, am ready to go Kane (c) against Liverpool now. 😛

The way City are playing, don't fancy them against Bournemouth away.

There was nothing casual about captaining Kane. Trying to be individual can be a big trap on here. Remember what Tyler Durden said: "you are not a unique and beautiful snowflake"

Drop 1 of these players from my wildcard team:

    Sanchez - Ozil - Firmino - Payet - Mahrez
    Aguero - Kane - Lukaku

I'm actually thinking I might drop Firmino due to rotation threat (Europa League)
