ICC World T20 Fantasy – Phase 3

The ICC World T20 moves into its third phase from Tuesday (21st March). This takes a look at the fixtures and offers those playing the game a new article for cricket discussions.

Fixtures

22nd March, Tuesday  –  New Zealand Vs Pakistan, Mohali

23rd March, Wednesday –  England Vs Afghanistan, Delhi & India Vs Bangladesh, Bengaluru

25th March, Friday – Pakistan Vs Australia, Mohali & South Africa Vs West Indies, Nagpur

26th March, Saturday – Bangladesh Vs New Zealand, Kolkatta &  Sri Lanka Vs England, Delhi

27th March, Sunday – Afghanistan Vs West Indies, Nagpur & India Vs Australia, Mohali

28th March, Monday- South Africa Vs Sri Lanka, Delhi

Discussion Points

  • From this we can see that New Zealand, Pakistan, Bangladesh play early on and their fixtures end early. So it would be good to load their players and save on some transfers.
  • Feroz shah kotla (New Delhi), Eden Gardens  (Kolkata), Chinna swamy (Bangalore) are slow pitches. But Mohali,Chandigarh is a little bit fast, skiddy, bouncy and grassy.

      Shakib was a pretty obvious pick! In at 4 and will bowl 4. Price was the only issue really. It just depended on people's squad make-up

    Have you guys figured out your starting teams and strategies for Phase 3? I'm guessing heavy on the first game and keep the Pak players as they play again early. Are any of you targeting specific fixtures to make several transfers for?

      Yep, going with 2 Pak, 3 NZ, 3 Eng, 1 Afg and 1 Ind and Ban each. Will allow me to get 4.3 players playing per game on an average

        I'm prob going 3 Pak, 3 Nz. I'd get guptill, anderson and santner who did well for me in phase 2. Not sure about the other 5 spots though. Thinking 3 Eng and 1 Ind, 1 Bang if the budget allows for it

            Yea I'm okay with going with Buttler though I'd be okay with Akmal as well. Very very inconsistent batting but I think he may pull off a 50

      I think I've founf a plan that allows me to get 50 players (i.e an average of 5 a match). Not sure if it's a safe to publish it here because of potential spies from the number 1 league!

      Try logging out and logging back in. For some reason that usually helps update the site for me to show 'live scoring' for the current game and 'manage team' for the next game

        Yes same problem I faced. It is fixed now. All I had to do is submit my team again and they say I cant make transfers. And it gets magically unlocked.

      Ownership stats are false, De Villiers was 62% before yesterday's first game, 26% a few minutes into it and 38% during the second game, can't be true.
