The ICC World T20 moves into its third phase from Tuesday (21st March). This takes a look at the fixtures and offers those playing the game a new article for cricket discussions.

Fixtures

22nd March, Tuesday  –  New Zealand Vs Pakistan, Mohali

23rd March, Wednesday –  England Vs Afghanistan, Delhi & India Vs Bangladesh, Bengaluru

25th March, Friday – Pakistan Vs Australia, Mohali & South Africa Vs West Indies, Nagpur

26th March, Saturday – Bangladesh Vs New Zealand, Kolkatta &  Sri Lanka Vs England, Delhi

27th March, Sunday – Afghanistan Vs West Indies, Nagpur & India Vs Australia, Mohali

28th March, Monday- South Africa Vs Sri Lanka, Delhi

Discussion Points

  • From this we can see that New Zealand, Pakistan, Bangladesh play early on and their fixtures end early. So it would be good to load their players and save on some transfers.
  • Feroz shah kotla (New Delhi), Eden Gardens  (Kolkata), Chinna swamy (Bangalore) are slow pitches. But Mohali,Chandigarh is a little bit fast, skiddy, bouncy and grassy.

        Couldn't argue with Kohli. Shakib for me. If Raina was going to get 4 overs I'd consider him much harder, but I expect only 1 or 2

            Such a bizarre choice to bowl him when getting Rashid away is so hard. Verging on the arrogant- like the game's won, so let's get some form into Stokes. Can't see the logic really.

    Trying to fit Shakib in for the next game. Considering shifting Malik to Khawaja to free up 20k and I can use that elsewhere as I was 20k short. Surely Khawaja is nailed on, right?

      Ronty, it seems like your team and mine are similar. Have you managed to get good Ind and Bang players in? I'm struggling with my budget/team formation. Currently I'm only bringing in Raina, Shakib, Bumrah/Nehra

      yeah and they will probably claim some sort of moral victory that it only went for 8, when in fact and proper batsmen (this guy is decent, but no.9!), would have crashed that trash to all corners of the ground

    I managed to get the site working on another computer in the end. No Kholi for me as I want to make up some ground.

    I've gone Shakib(C), Al-Amin (punt), Sharma and Raina. I wanted Ashwin but couldn't get him because of team balance.

    I think I got a way of having 15 DGWs in GW34 +11 players in GW35 + 11 DGWs in GW37 no hits. However, depend on Iwobi be starter and 3 Liverpool for the plan to work.

    The team would be:

    Hart (If fit) Robles
    Bellerin Sakho Rojo Janmaat Reid
    Sanchez Iwobi Firmino Coutinho Payet
    Aguero Mitrovic Martial / Lukaku

    GW34: Save FT
    GW35: Martial or Lukaku OUT IN Defoe
