After delving into the Defensive data over the last four matches earlier this week, we turn our attentions to the centre of the park. With double Gameweek shopping in mind, we compare some of the West Ham, Arsenal, Liverpool and Newcastle midfielders, before casting an eye over the upturn in form from Leicester’s talismanic wide man.

    GW33 WC

    Robles Mignolet
    Dann Gabriel Rojo Simpson S.Taylor
    Sanchez Mahrez Payet Firmino/Coutinho Bolasie/Zaha
    Lukaku Kane Aguero

    GW34 BB:

    Dann + Bolasie -> Bellerin + Lanzini (-4)

Big down side is relying on Mignolet instead of DDG as originally planned until the end of the season

        Other considerations:

Most people using BB in gw34 rules out Sanchez/Ozil/Kun
Payet has United as one of his DGW games and could be rested for a potential FA Cup Final. Liverpool have Chelsea and may have Europa glory and hence UCL to think about

Payet/Firmino are my main contenders for TC37.

Lukaku also to be considered if he shows promise these first two doubles. I just don't like it being 2 away games in GW33, plus I'm playing WC33 to get a better idea of who's nailed.

Why? If you have room for another DGWer then go for Everton. Or any other team. Palace are in freefall.

maybe in freefall, so its a value question. do 2 good fixtures for a team in freefall represent better value than a form team with 1?

no room in 34, but i could do 33 and then use transfers to swap over any palace

West ham have smashed it with their signings this season. Lanzini is gonna be a top, top player in the not too distant future. Anyone know what the fee was for him now that they have taken up the option to buy?

see everton and palace now have 2 doubles on the spin.

still don't think they're necessarily worth it, not when you see who it means dropping

Lukaku and Barkley are a must.

I like Robles too, 4 games, surely one CS and some save points.

im going migs/robles covers all the doubles and 35 with no extra swaps

It covers all doubles but wastes an DGW asset in 37 as you can play 1. Think Robles/Elliot might the way to go.

Explain why Barkley is a must.

            Because he is explosive.

If he gets 17 points in one of the games, which is a decent enough possibility, you're not in a good place.

I'd be worried not having him for those 4 games.

I would be more worried not having Moreno.

lukaku is the main one i'd have to consider, but with the strikers I have and the games they potentially have i'm not so sure its really worth it.

we all know lukaku, he could go ballistic or do nothing.

other than him I guess barkley is next in line, but I don't fancy moving my midfield around too much.

has to be considered I admit but by no means a definite

            Barkley is a blank machine.

              He is a 2, 2, 17, 2 machine.

I'd take 23 from him over 2 GWs.

might be my imagination but isn't barkley a much bigger scorer at goodison

Can't see a '17'. Last one was cos of 2 penalties after Lukaku was subbed off...

don't see him doing it myself - other thing to consider is after gw34 both are in the cup semis so you've got a blank to deal with.

those players are the bane of fpl - the ones who do zilch for weeks then hit 20 in a game........and invariably follow it up with another few blanks.

Trying to work out what 2 FTs to do before GW33 WC is annoying. Might just bring in whoever is rising that I want in my WC.

              Luka, Aguero and Wickham?

Most are struggling in 35 now if they want decent Everton/Palace cover.

Anybody else subscribe to the saying that if you wouldnt want a player for one gameweek then don't get them in just because they play twice in that gamesweek?

            Dann? Bolasie? The mind boggles

Any other double gamesweek grinches out there?

2 DGWs in a row makes them more tempting.
