After delving into the Defensive data over the last four matches earlier this week, we turn our attentions to the centre of the park. With double Gameweek shopping in mind, we compare some of the West Ham, Arsenal, Liverpool and Newcastle midfielders, before casting an eye over the upturn in form from Leicester’s talismanic wide man.

Paul Is certain he won't make the same mistakes next season. Follow them on Twitter

Willian or Traore for a one week punt? Chasing a 40 point lead and don't have BB.

Still contemplating the GW36 wildcard idea. With no hits, I can get:

    2 x DGW'ers in GW33 (Delaney, Lukaku)
10 x DGW'ers in GW34 (DDG, Bellerin, Dawson, Delaney, Ozil, Payet, Firmino, Aguero, Lukaku, Welbeck)

Plus, a GW35 team that includes: Forster, Dier, Fuchs, Alli, Mahrez and Vardy.

Decent idea? Or do you think I need more DGW players in GWs 33 + 34?

Very good team, I would't WC.

I have 2 DGWers in 33 and 8 in 34 (with Kane, Mahrez, Simpson) and still think if it is worth save a WC for 36.

I am keeping my wildcard and playing later. Will have 9 doublers in gw34 and also playing Toby and Fuchs.

The bench will consist of Forster, Daniels, Wolly and Mahrez.

Question is. Apart from Mahrez, would you play the wildcard to replace the other bench players with doublers and hit the bench boost?

I really dont see how many points Robles, Rojo and Ogbonna are gonna get - hardly worth a wildcard

Yeah, I'm in a similar situation and thinking about playing the wildcard later too. How many DGW'ers can you field in GW33?

Just Lukaku. I can bring him in for Vardy. Not interested in any others tbh. Barkley maybe at a push but that would come at the expensive of Sanchez or Firmino.

Barkley is the one I'm worried about not owning but like you say, it would come at the expense of Firmino. But yeah, I definitely don't think the likes of Robles, Rojo and Ogbanna warrant a wildcard, may as well take the plunge and save it!

Agreed. I'm saving WC for 36. WIll have 3DGWers in 33 and 9 DGWers (plus Kane and Mahrez) in 34. I'm very happy with that.

Ran a number of scenarios, but can't see value in adding a 3rd EVE player.

Robles, Lukaku and Dann is enough for me. Maybe do Dann->Reid for a hit in DGW34

I'm close to hitting it now and going balls to the wall getting 3x Eve and 3x Palace but that'd preclude getting Hammers/United if I wanted 11 players in 35 so I'm trying to weigh it up as I could get 4 players for DGW33 with just FTs. I'm a bit bummed I sold Barkley two weeks back now.

RMT for GWK 33 and beyond lol.

    GW 33 Wild Card

    De Gea
    Danns Jagielka Moreno
    Bolasie Barkley Firminho Payet
    Lukaku Aguero Vardy

    (Elliot, Silva, Bellerin, Rojo)
    ------------------------------------------------------
GW 34 *Bench Boost Active* (15 man squad)

    De Gea Elliot
    Koscielny* Bellerin Rojo Jagielka Moreno
    Ozil* Barkley Firminho Payet Wijnaldum*
    Lukaku Aguero Martial*

    ----------------------------------------------------
    GW 35 (10 man squad)

    Elliot
    Bellerin Koscielny Moreno
    Ozil Firminho Wijnaldum Alli*
    Aguero Kane*

    (De Gea, Rojo, Jagielka, Lanzini*)

A couple hits involved here guys but it seems me through nicely and lines me up for the Gwk 37 double too?

    Good to go?

35 i do Payet 》 Lanzini so i can afford Martial 》 Kane for the Spurs vs West Brom fixture in 35 when MUFC blank.

Lanzini then starts in GWK 36 alongside Payet as i will do Alli》Payet to get him back and have 2 WHU ready for there double gwk.

Anyone else considering going Payet-less on WC?

    GW33-35: ARS lei WAT blank

Can transfer him in after the blank. It feels like there are much better options on WC and they don't necessarily lead to playing some ugly 5 at the back formation in gw35 (Ozil/Sanchez/Barkley/Firmino/Coutinho/Mahrez).

          2 Palace & 3 Everton, hmmm.
I'm on 1 & 2 with a pain free move through the weeks to 37 but I do prefer your coverage Zan.

            11 sgw in 35 (-4)

For -8 that's a no brainer in my book, just got to worry about injuries & end of season rotation / left field picks.
Fitting C Palace in has changed plans but I feel I've got to take the punt. Ward/Delaney & Bolassie.
Will see if Puncheon & Wickham get run outs in 32 before final decision.

Last time I checked Lennon's conversion rate was out of this world. Would avoid like the plague

    How's this for a front 8?

    Coutinho - Bolasie - Ozil - Mahrez - Payet
    Kane - Lukaku - Kun

Cabaye plays too deep, enjoys a YC and relies on penalties a little too much for my liking. Bolasie is hardly consistent but he's always got goals and assists in him if he turns up.

I'm not going to consider either tbh

Sunderland, Liverpool and Chelsea are the only teams that play in GW35 having a DGW37.

Whereas Chelsea not fight for nothing and you have 3 Liverpool only Defoe would be good in GW35 Vs Arsenal IMO.

So who use the wildcard in GW33, you must have a maximum of two players of the teams DGW34 and Blank in GW35 in the midfields and forwards, unless you be happy to play without a 3-4-3.

    Hi DZ

I am still doing GW36 WC.
In light of this Everton news though - I shall I have Lukaku and Jagielka ready for DGW 33

I will have this team out for DWG 34. No Hit at all throughout. Would this team be G2G you think?

    DDG. Butland
    BELLERIN. JAGIELKA. SAKHO. (Huth). (Daniels)
OZIL (TC). PAYET. FIRMINO. Mahrez (Alli)
    AGUERO. LUKAKU. Kane.

And there is already 11 players in this team for GW35.

    Robles, Elliot
    Bellerin, Cresswell, Simpson (Sahko, Rojo)
    Ozil, Payet, Firmino, Mahrez (Lennon)
    Lukaku, Kane, Aguero

Thoughts on this as a wildcard for this week(32)?

Seems fine. Would not have 3 single gameweekers if you have BB coming up. Dann over Cresswell seems way better. Gotta take the games...and he's arguably the best goal threat among all CBs in the PL.

Mental. He's been ridiculously bad and is always susceptible to being hauled off at halftime for being poor as Pardew has done a couple times already.

Here's my team lads. WCing in GW33 so means I have to use both FT so I don't waste any. Came up with two plans, thoughts on which one is more ideal?

    Butland
    Monreal, Fuchs, Dawson
    Siggy, Ozil, Payet, Mahrez
    Kane, Aguero, Vardy

    Hart | Alli, Williams, Toby

    A) Dawson -> Cresswell (CPL), Siggy -> Arnautovic (SWA)
    B) Kane -> Mitrovic (nor), Siggy -> Sanchez (WAT)

Please not with B, selling Kane would cost me value but I am likely to sell him the following week on my WC anyway, so wouldn't make much of a difference. Thoughts are appreciated 🙂

If you are 100% sure you are not keeping Kane then B is interesting. I fancy Norwich to stay up tho!

Indeed! Another option is Defoe (WBA) but I do quite like the look of Mitrovic, although Norwich have tightened up recently Newcastle are fighting for their lives

Yes his stats has dropped off but he has still been ticking along nicely. Leicester won't destroy teams like they did earlier in the season but he's still capable of a goal and is on pens also
