Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

    Is this any good?
Sturridge instead of Aguero because of chasing.
Lennon might be rotated - but I see no better alternatives?
    Clichy same as above.

2.4 ITB to bring Kane in for GW 35.

    - What would you guys do to improve this lot?

    Robles - Mignolet
    Gabriel - Smalling - Clichy - Otamendi - Simpson
    Alexis - Ozil - KDB - P.Coutinho - Lennon
    Sturridge - Lukaku - Rashford

    Cheers.

    Robles - DDG

    Bellerin -- Smailling -- Sakho -- Delaney -- Gabriel

    Lukaku -- Kun -- Martial

That's a good idea. I'm just blinded by that AVL/CPL double home fixture. I gambled on DDG and transferred nim before this GW to catch price rises, etc. Willl think about it. Thank you for responding.

True, I'm sorely tempted myself, but atm can only seem to fit in rojo to enable all the heavy hitters...I'm assuming that you're picking smalling because he's nailed?

Great rank btw, I'm hoping for a 5k finish but I see you're already there, best of luck in the run up

    Morning DZ,

Which of these pairs do you prefer?

    A) Smalling & Delaney or Darmian & Clichy
    B) Firmino & Wickham or Bolasie & Martial

If B2 then yeah, if B1 then there's also the option of Wickham -> Rashford/Deeney. One less blanker in B1 so can do this and stil get 11 out in 35

        1. bigbudgie
          • 11 Years

B1 then, one less blanker, 3rd striker spot is a punt anyway.

FWIW -- I am trying to avoid Citeh defense. I'm on a WC and I just brought in Smalling and Delaney.

I think you are going to want one of Coutinho or Firmino.

          About bloody time.

Who are you looking at currently?

At the moment I'm looking at:

          Bellerin Gabriel LIV
          Alexis Payet Coutinho/Firm (maybe both?)
          Aguero Lukaku

Got to fill in the rest.

Very similar. Thinking about Lanzini/Antonio over Payet though to raise funds. Not a fan of WHU's 33, 35 or 36 so would be benching Lanzini/Antonio for those.

            Currently on:

            Robles, Darlow
            Bellerin, Gabriel, Sakho, xxx, xxx
            Sanchez, KDB, Coutinho, xxx, Lanzini
            Aguero, Lukaku, xxx

Blanks to be filled from my post above

            Whatcha reckon?

              • 14 Years
              9 years, 9 months ago

Wow so similar to my draft. But after looking at fixtures do you think KDB is worth it with DGW both away games?

              Robles - Darlow
              Bellerin - Darmian - Sakho - Gabriel - Simpson
              Alexis - KDB - Payet - Coutinho(Bolasie) - Lanzini
              Aguero - Lukaku - Mitrovic(Wickham)

Could go with Coutinho+Martial over KDB+Mitrovic

After deeper thinking MCI still in CL might have an effect on KDB's output.

Might be better playing the fixtures and rolling with Firmino/ Martial tbh.

Yeah he's a risk, but he won't need resting and City need to secure top 4, so I think he will start every game personally. Looked good at the w/e also.

I can get Firm & Martial in the above blanks, but would mean Delaney & Simpson at the back. Better?

                  9 years, 9 months ago

I think Payet is essential Jins, rather him than double on Pool mids tbh.

Delaney and Simpson are decent enough I think. We'll be on Arsenal x2 +1 at the back most weeks anyway.

Yeah, you may be right. But I'm also not sure about a WHU double up in attack with those fixtures, plus it means an extra blanker in 35 to deal with. Will defo have him back for 37.

Payet - ARS, lei/WAT, blank, wba

                      Vs

Firmino - STO, bou/EVE, NEW, swa

I'd back Firmino to outscore him there

Payet is in form. Should be kept until end of season.

                        Lanzini is disposable/benchable.

Lanzini doesn't cover Payet at all, and his ownership is really high and will hurt if he scores big.

I wouldn't double on WH - and I do think that Lanzini is great value - but I think Payet is worth the extra.

I think so. There's also an argument to stick with Kane instead of using funds for KDB. Form is king and all that.

No mate. I'm going against the general population here. Im keen to keep my Lei and Tot assets as long as possible. I can get 10dgw players in 34 and 11 players in 35 without hits (and hold on to Fuchs, Mahrez and Kane). I'll WC in GW36.

Hi Jinswick, once you've finished digesting the above I would love your thoughts on Iwobi. I need a makeweight midfielder to afford Lukaku this week. Is he worth a punt over, say, Lingard? (Im not WCing until GW36). Ta.

I think he's a great short term punt - playing well and currently first choice. Ramsey, Ox, Wilshere & Santi are due back soon though which could mean there is some real competition for the front 3 spots over the last few games, but you can WC him out by then!

My advice, fwiw, to you wildcarders

Only go with the absolutely nailed on

Remember your team structure.....once 34 BB is done and dusted you are back to 11 players for the last 4 GWs. Spread your money around on DGWers too much and you are then taking hits to jump off and on players in a similar price bracket.

That is all I've got 🙂 (and I never claim to follow my own advice either)

Maybe he's playing defensive to protect his rank?

Wouldn't defensive be to get Coutinho in knowing the masses around him will be ditching Mahrez to bring him in?

Payet is essential imo. You should try and fit Sanchez and Payet

    Morning DZ.

I'm currently leading my ML by 11 points with a wildcard, TC and BB still available to me whilst 2nd place has already used their TC. I don't really want to screw things up too much, would prefer to play it safe more than anything.

So would Vardy > Lukaku and TC him this GW be a good choice or do I use my WC this week in preparation for a GW34 BB?

Is there any alternate routes I could/anyone's taking?

    Thanks in advance.

        Courtois / Hennessey
        Fuchs / Wiliams / Dier / Daniels / Targett
        Alli / Siggy / Mahrez / Ozil / YYT
        Vardy / Aguero / Kane

I would definitely WC and get doublers in to BB34.

Looks like we have to bench boost in 34, leaving us a horrible TC in 37.

Agreed, as long as those teams aren't on the beach. Hammers probably won't be

    Wow, can’t believe this bs
Activated wc, fitted in coutinho via downgrading my defence to non playing 3.7-3.8s so I can have time to think about who to drop out of kane/mahrez
I looked at the percentages on fplstatistics, and BANG! Targett drops by 0.1 who is in my team still…absolute gut wrenched.
Even though it’s unlikely I’ll be 0.1 short of my team, it’s god damn annoying

It's really 3 games vs 2 games for most people as they will be out for GW33 if BB GW34

    Two decisions.

    1) Jags or Sakho (90% setlled on Sakho)
    2) Bolasie or Riyad (50-50) Being a punter Bolasie will always tempt me.

Neither of first two defenses are rock tight but Sakho doesn't blank in 35. Jags better in attack, but I went Sakho.
