I dont get it either. Yes he played well but it was 50 odd minutes. With CL games coming up and coming back from a lengthy injury, is he going to play an entire game? Let alone 2 in a week

Iwobi has played 70min+ in each of the last two Arsenal games - scoring in both. He may not play out the entire, but it appears he'll be involved. Decent punt given the price (@ 4.5m).

Alright guys. I am really off the boil in fantasy knowledge, so just tell me what are the red marks in this team. GW33 WC done, GW34 TC/BB idk. There doesn't seem to be much TC potential in GW37, but GW34 BB is just too good. Unsure. The bracketed guys I am thinking of moving on, should I? Have value tied here.

    Still an incomplete team.

    Robles/Mignolegend
    Gabriel/Ward/(Aldo)/(Simpson)/FREE SPOT (5.1 itB)
    Ozil/Payet/Bolasie/(Mahrez)/(Alli)
    Aguero/Lukaku/(Kane)

Essentially, tell me the template XI as far as you know pleez.

    Afternoon/Evening All
Been putting together my WC this week and having a tough time moving past the below. I can't help but see that many on here are spending tons of extra cash on the 5th mid when in reality they are ideally only needed for GW34 BB and a 10th or 11th player in GW35. After that they should just ride the bench. Same goes for the 4th and 5th Defender spots and second GK. Seems that many are ignoring this and overspending on what will eventually be bench fodder. Correct me if I'm wrong or is everyone just flush with cash?

Iwobi/Gabriel seem ideal cheap players who double in 34, play in 35 and then can be benched without significant financial stress. Just depends on if you want Ozil/Welbeck(?) for your third Arsenal spot to go with Sanchez and Bellerin but not for me. Only other midfield options that tick the DGW34/play GW 35 box would be WBA or Newcastle, none of whom exactly inspire confidence. Ignoring the old adage (pick players that are guaranteed to play) at my own peril, current draft is:

    Robles/Darlow
    Bellerin/Smalling/Sakho/Ward/Simpson
    Sanchez/Payet/Coutinho/Barkley/Iwobi
    Kun/Martial/Lukaku

GW 34 Barkley > Firmino (if fit) or save if performing
GW 35 Ward > PVA setting up for DGW37 and giving me 10 on field for GW35

Iwobi, Simpson, Darlow and weekly rotating defender man the bench.

    Eager to hear thoughts 🙂

Looks solid with some diffs. I would make a call on Firmino / Barkley and stick to it and then have 2FT for 35.

Good point. Holding Barkley opens up all of the DGW37 midfielders who play in 35 (Chelsea comes to mind but that's a minefield). Will think on it.

    How's this plan fellas?

    Ddg
    Clyne, Sakho, Delaney
    Sanchez, Coutinho, Kdb, Ozil, BOLASIE
    LUKAKU, Aguero

    Darlow, Gabriel, Simpson, Rashford
    Bank 0.0m

    GW33: 3 DGWers
    GW34: Save FT = 14 DGWers (BB)
    GW35: Bolasie & Rashford -> Lanzini & Defoe = 11 starters
    GW36/37: Use 2FT = 9 DGWers in 37

Can only have 3 ARS players and I think despite his recent drought Ozil and Sanchez have a much bigger upside. Expect Bellerin's attacking returns to dry up and Gabriel should more or less match him (assuming he starts of course!)

Don't get me wrong, they are great for defensive returns. But they are also great for attacking returns! With the way we played last week (4-0) I fancy us to finish the season strongly and can see goals incoming.

    DZ REPOST SPECIAL! 😀

    http://www.skysports.com/football/news/11679/10228900/man-citys-kevin-de-bruyne-to-be-assessed-before-psg-says-manuel-pellegrini

"We are going to see, because now we can start preparing for that game," said Pellegrini, when asked if De Bruyne will be ready for the match.

"There wouldn't be any risk to play him again so soon, because it was not a muscle injury.

"But we've seen the way he played at Bournemouth and now we have to see how he recovers. We'll assess that and then decide.

"Of course it's a boost that he's in contention though, because he's a very important player."

"Playing forward near Kun (Aguero) gives him a little space and he doesn't have to work so hard in the midfield."

    ---

that last line though..

8 league games before De Bruyne was injured, 4 were away. Underlying stats were ridiculous:
      http://members.fantasyfootballscout.co.uk/public-stats-tables/view/14019/

This 'away form' notion that seems to perpetuate throughout FFS conveniently is ignored when it comes to Silva or Aguero, even though it was a club-wide issue, not a KDB issue. All this suggests that if they shake this off (Bournemouth not being an outlier basically) he'll be involved, in my opinion.

Martial has two double gameweeks where Kane has none.

Anyway, my TV is very poor due to my inactiveness. I am like 3mil short from that mean even with Monreal over Bellerin, Simpson over Fuchs and Darlow over Mignolet.

        1. Jøssy ⭐
          • 11 Years

Fair enough. This certainly includes a lot of the players considered template, but not everyone can afford all of them.

Kane v Martial is a debate... Martial has a DGW, with great fixtures, but Kane is on fire. Could go either way, and I'd certainly want Kane outside of the DGWs.

You are 3M short of that with Darlow and Simpson instead!? Ouch! My TV is particularly high though.

          Good luck!

I moved early this week though. Some of that 3M is not helped by the fact that Fuchs, KDB, Payet, and Lukaku all gained 0.4 last night alone. Sanchez, Bellerin and Coutinho gained 0.3 the day before.

          That's 0.7M right there.

The problem with Mahrez is the same one which was with Michu, you got him early and you are losing a million in letting him go. Given how we'll extract the limit of our TV on the WC, that makes it near impossible to get him back without taking a hit.

The main problem is that while Swansea were on holiday already then, Leicester aren't. Mahrez is the one who looks most likely to get the goals. Jeezus it's going to be tough to remove him.

Who best to pair with DDG?

    A) Darlow - has a reasonable DGW and a fixture in 35.

    B) Hennessey - has a good 33 DGW and a DGW in 34 which should be good for save points if nothing else. No fixture in 35 though.

    Likely matchup being:

    A) DDG (tot) & Darlow (SWA, MCY & liv)

    B) Hennessey (NOR, EVE, mun & ars)

Jinswick, if you’re still about I’d appreciate your thoughts on Ozil vs Sanchez. I currently have Ozil and would need to take a -4 to upgrade to Sanchez. I wouldn’t normally contemplate it, but whichever one I settle on will very likely be my TC in GW34 (so the stakes are high!). Based on the last few weeks Sanchez looks like he might be worth the hit?

    Or
    Aguero Lanzini Moreno???

Aguero could kill your season if you don't have him.

Too risky not to have and 35 fixtures is nice too.

Aguero is near the top for all the important metrics for strikers.

Warning: This table will make you want to keep Kane more.

Looking at that table, can you justify 7mil more for Aguero than Mitrovic?

Look how many spots he moves up when you filter out the killer mids. It's why I have him!

I think if Aguero got injured I would keep a front-line of Mitro - Kane - Lukaku and spread the money elsewhere.

I've come up with this as a WC without Aguero

          DDG Schmeichael
          Bellerin Gabriel Smalling Dann Fuchs
          Sanchez KDB Payet Coutinho Lennon
          Kane Lukaku Mitrovic

Leicester City Defender Richie De Laet Could Create Incredible Piece Of History This Season.

He could win a Premier League winners medal and a Championship winners medal in the same season.

    Robles / de Gea
    Morgan / Bellerin / Simpson / Smalling / Koscielny
    Payet / Coutinho / Mahrez / Sanchez / Bolasie
    Aguero / Lukaku / Mitrovic

    GW33: 3 DGW
    GW34: TC (Sanchez or Aguero)
    GW35: 2 FTs to make 11

    Thoughts?

You got BB left for 37 or not. If you this needs a rethink I think. If not looks a good plan.

Undecided...Which of these ? KDB or Firmino or Lennon ?
If Lennon, stronger backline (option A)...and could do Lennon to Lanzini after this GW...

    A. Smalling, Koscielny, Lennon (+Jagielka, Clyne, Bellerin)

    B. Simpson, Gabriel, KDB (+ Jagielka, Clyne, Bellerin)

    C. Smalling, Gabriel, Firmino (+Jagielka, Sakho, Bellerin)

    Thanks!

    GW34

    Hart
    Bellerin/Monreal/Smalling
    Antonio/Silva/Mata/Coutinho( or Firmino)
    Lukaku/Kun/Martial

    Subs: Adrian/Fonte/Huth/Ali

Taking hits to get to this time and also taking into account GW35. Appreciate any comments!

Think 2 attacking Man Utd is too much. There don't score many and apart from those nice 34 fixtures you got a blank and some hard fixtures.

Or Smalling + double LEI if you think Payet will score and Bellerin will stop his assist / goal for that week

    morning dzzz,

Finally got around to spending some time on my wc team..needed opinion on the following? i have provided my musings also 🙂

    1) best gk combo?
    - i am currently on robles//darlow for value and great rotation apart from gw35. mignolet//robles works too but i dont see any advantage of spending the extra money there if i can get a liverpool def (sakho) that is cheaper. DDG is attractive for being nailed on...but who to pair him? darlow?. but either way ddg+jagiela (10.8m) is same as robles+smalling(10.9m)...so the smalling option is better leaving me with no other but robles/darlow

    2) mitrovic or martial?
    - i suppose thats the big question for everyone...i am currently in the martial camp simply coz i am a utd fan but realistically, i think mitrovic will get a larger proportion of newcastles goals then martial...eitherway, its a tough decision. Other factor in favour of mitrovic is a gw35

    3) city coverage apart from kun?
looking at defence..i would like a city def for gw33 and gw35 as i dont expect much of a cleanie in gw34...however over 4 games...i think 2 cs is decent result..the only option i am considering however is mangala. ppl believe clichy is nailed on but i personally view that as a risk.
Coming to their mids...its kdb or nothing...and thats the tough question. have no idea whether to get him in or not...i could create the funds if i really had to but will he get a decent amt of minutes? alternatively i could get ozil for similar price bucket to dbl up with sanchez (currently have a double ars def)

    4) payet coutinho sanchez lennon/bolasie...are relatively nailed on in my team..no who idea who to get for that 5th mid..or just stick to mahrez. kdb/ozil/firmino/mata/wijnaldum/lanzini are all options...

    5) planning to get a palace def for dgw33 then use my gw34 transfer to do delaney >> man utd def...logical move? dont see palace getting any cleanies for 2 tough away games. some ppl here are using the ft to do bolasie >> liv mid in gw34 and that was my initial consideration but i think getting rid of a palace def would be bigger priority. My initial plan was to save the gw34 transfer so the downside of planning a transfer there is that i would have take a hit in gw35 to field 11 players..
