The EA Sports PPI figures are available and the Fantasy Premier League have updated the game with the bonus points – nice and early. With one game remaining in the gameweek, here’s a simple breakdown of how the points map out…

Everton 2 Wolves 1
Jagielka 3, Baines 2, Hunt 1

Phil Jagielka claims the maximum then – a surprise perhaps, given that Leighton Baines chipped in with an assist and the crucial winner from the spot. The Press Association data may well have recorded some impressive defensive statistics for the centre-back – we’ll look into that further with our Scout article over at the FPL later. As expected, Stephen Hunt sneaked in for the single bonus point here – he saw off Everton’s John Heitinga by just one PPI point.

Stoke 2 QPR 3
Helguson 3, Young 2, Mackie 1

QPR dominate the rankings, with Heidar Helguson recording the highest PPI score of the gameweek with 52. Luke Young’s fine goal has him capture the two bonus, with Jamie Mackie earning the single bonus for his assist – nudging ahead of Stoke’s Ryan Shawcross by just a single PPI point.

Norwich 1 Arsenal 2
Van Persie 3, Gervinho 2, Santos 1

Robin Van Persie again claims the three bonus points – no real surprise there. Gervinho fetches the two, presumably off the back of a string of on target goal attempts that boosted his PPI score. The single bonus point for Andre Santos is an even bigger surprise; the left-back was a full 5 PPI points ahead of Theo Walcott – presumably with a string of impressive PA stats to back it up. Again, this is something we’ll explore further in our Scout article.

Man City 3 Newcastle 1
Richards 3, Aguero 2, Clichy 1

Micah Richards collects the maximum as expected, with Sergio Aguero earning the two for his goal and assist contribution. Gael Clichy’s inclusion, with a single bonus point, is perhaps unexpected; he edged out Mario Balotelli by a single bonus point. We discussed in last night’s ICT analysis how Clichy’s array of defensive stats could see him figure – that appears to have been the factor at play here.

Sunderland 0 Fulham 0
Hangeland & Cattermole 3, O’Shea, Bendtner & Murphy 1

As always with a 0-0 scoreline, the breakdown of EA PPI points in this game was incredibly close. Both Fulham’s Brede Hangeland and Sunderland’s Lee Cattermole shared the maximum by virtue of PPI scores of 16. Three players were just a point behind on 15 – Niclas Bendtner, Danny Murphy and John O’Seah all shared a single bonus point.

West Brom 2 Bolton 1
Shorey 3, Long 2, Thomas 1

We mentioned last night how Nicky Shorey was the most creative player on show in the gameweek according to our ICT Index figures. It seems that his supply from left-back was a factor in sealing t the top PPI score and maximum bonus from this game. Goalscorers Shane Long and Jerome Thomas were left in his wake, picking up the remaining bonus points. Bolton’s Ivan Klasnic missed out by 5 PPI points.

Wigan 3 Blackburn 3
Yakubu 3, Hoilett 2, Caldwell & Crusat 1

Blackburn’s Yakubu was streets ahead in terms of PPI in this game, claiming the three bonus points by a 15 PPI point margin. Team-mate Junior Hoilett can closest to denying him – he collected the two, with the single bonus point being shared by two Wigan scorers – Gary Caldwell and sub Albert Crusat.

Swansea 0 Man United 1
Hernandez 3, Ferdinand 2, Vidic 1

It’s no surprise to see Javier Hernandez top the PPI rankings with his goal at the Liberty stadium proving decisive in Saturday’s game. United’s centre-back pairing ranked next in the PPI list – with Nemanja Vidic and Rio Ferdinand presumably racking up some impressive defensive statistics to help United to a third consecutive clean sheet. Again, we’ll break this down further in our Scout article later today.

Chelsea 1 Liverpool 2
Johnson 3, Rodriguez 2, Bellamy 1

Glen Johnson acquired an impressive PPI tally of 36 to come out on top in this game by a 7 point margin. Maxi Rodrigquez was his nearest rival, with Craig Bellamy nudging Charlie Adam out of the remaining bonus point by just a single PPI point. Similarly, centre-back pairing Dan Agger and Martin Skrtel, were just a couple of PPI points off bonus recognition in the 2-1 win.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

How did Drenthe go this GW? Did he play well, created chances etc? Didn't get to watch the full highlights and am wondering if he was looking dangerous on the pitch or had a quiet one.

    Thanks

no he didnt look dangerous, and in my opinion he never will 🙂 I was here last week also writing about his performance, he just isnt good player. Fast, everywhere on the field, but no results. soon youll all realize that his accurate passing is on 25-30%, that he is gonna go for shot when everyone else expect assist, that he is gonna miss what Bentdtner wouldnt miss... I remember him even from Feyenord, he was a kid though back then, but everyone was laughing to him when he got the ball, no one couldnt believe when Real singed him! he just get so lucky to show some quality at U21 EC, and that was all! Also here, in PL, he is (or already WAS) showing some quality, but game after game, after game he is dropping down and really soon he`ll be just a player who annoys the crowd, the manager, the rest of the team...

notidaho, I'm pretty sure the point hits will be reflected now in your mini leagues.

Because I've a red arrow in one of my mini leagues even though I got 60-4 and he got 57 and we were equal before this GW. So it's already got me down as having 56 therefore he's 1 ahead currently.

Ashley Young - thoughts for this gameweek?

Maybe he's the spark Man Utd need and if he plays against Benfica is pretty likely to feature vs Newcastle? They then play his old team Villa away and his ex local-rivals Wolves at home.

Could be a bit of a steal at £9.8m and a nice differential

I've got a feeling he could do well over the next few weeks after having a bit of a break. Not quite enough of a feeling to bring him in for Silva or VDV of course, unless one of them gets injured (quite possible with VDV!). Whether I would bring in Young over Nani or Bale I'm not sure although Nani has not done much lately.

In a bit of a dilemma my team atm is
    Begovic Given
    Enrique Barnett Simpson Rangel Brown
    Silva VDV Drenthe Ramsey Nani
    RVP DiSanto Sturridge
    with 2.2 in the bank.

Begovic and Given really killing my cash and I want to have the option of buying Rooney when he goes bang. Got one trade to do, what do people suggest?

the problem is in teh latter stages of the tournament if spurs get interested in winning it or face a prestige competition, coz another squad can be registerd in february, then he will become a rotation risk which will be a nightmare to us

Aguero - As far as I know he's fit - wait until after the champions league games. Tough away fixture but then Norwich at home the week after and on penalties if Balotelli isn't on.

Rooney - Didn't train today so waiting for an update, hasn't scored in a while but will come good at some point this season

Hernandez - Good option, a lot of people on here will go for him...no room for him up front for me though.

not inconsistent, they are based on pure stats, no human factor. there is no difference for the stats between a 60 yards pinpoint pass and a 2 yard pass, between a pass intended to reach a player or one that happened by mistake, or take in consideration the influence of a certain player on the game.
the old bonus system involved the human factor in the game, now its nly computer generated calcualtions

he did great tracking down obi mikel, but to be fair there were 3 passes after his last touch to set up the goal. If Metesacker put in a tackle and passed to song, who passed to Van Persie, who passed to Gervinho who,no matter how slight the touch, passed onto Vermon who then scored, would you be upset that Mertesacker was not recognised in BP?

First of all probably De Gea(because he is too expensive for someone who does not play every game, Perreira( too expensive) and Anderson out- TO get in Neuer, Andre santos and Dzagaev or Shirokov.

You should get a second opinion on the players to get in, but I think you should get rid of the players named. And luckly only a 4pt hit.

eish. thats not going to pull up many trees. Wheres Silva... Suarez maybe after this gameweek, but against City wouldn't back him , would get Ba after this gameweek as well, but you can't go in with two strikers against uber tough opponents. Dempsey, over priced -> larsson then upgrade eagles or sinclair.

+ 1 (+1,000,000 if VDV isn't playing and hogging all the shots). Build it and he will come. There is a dearth in rich strikers with good games at the moment in the price bracket you are after... maybe keep one more week -> Ba

Only one game where he got any decent points = the greatest thing since sliced potatoes is what a lot of the chatter was, and presumably by your team selection you went with that band wagon... at least my bandwagon has got more track behind it to view into the future: ain't done jack since then, apart from one assist in a game where he was no more threat than, say Victor Moses) and a red card.

To be fair I would be feeling touchy if I had jumped onto a bandwagon destined for a ravine and somebody started making fun of me.

No WC needed ... you've got £2.9m in the bank too so something like Evans --> Jones? Suarez --> Aguero?

I think that's a pretty strong team, you don't even need to make a transfer this week and your team will be pretty strong but a defensive change would probably tighten things up a bit.

Give Nani another week - decent home game for him.

Suarez - understand frustration, I got rid last week

          Evans - Get rid

          Woodgate - Get rid

Ferguson - you knew that when you put him in

Ward - scored last week, nice couple of fixtures soon

I'd probably take Woodgate or Evans out this week for Jones/Jagielka if that was my team

Going by whether getting rid of is a priority then (trying not to put personal preference in here)

      no, yes
yes, no, no, yes, yes, yes
      no, no, no, no, YES
      no, no, no
(even though I think Nani and Suarez are a waste, I'd consider WC'ing to get rid excessive)

      so that's 6 must-get-rid-of-now's

So yes, time to WC (and then I'd get rid of Nani, Suarez)

That is a truth, if you're happy to have a bench you can't trust 😛

But even further you have Nani and Suarez who are doing their best not to produce returns.

You have the core of VdV, Silva and RvP which is the right core to have.

Also are those players likely to drop in value before you're able to make a move. I would use the WC unless you think you'll be able to do better with it later in the season (remember we have a free one in January as well).

Ive decided to get rid of Nani for Lampard and I've decided to also get rid of the Roonpig to finance it. Gonna take a punt on Chico I think. I want to wait until after CL games to do it but I'm wary of Lamp going up and Roonpig going down in price before then. Thoughts anyone?

    B) Simpson out-Brown in.

    C) Any option you can suggest?

    Current team is:

    Westwood, (vorm)

    Taylor (swa)/Richards/Simpson/R Taylor/Wilko

Quite like option B but do you really need to make a defensive transfer this week.

You'll be playing 3 defenders so thats Richards, Wilko & Taylor (swa) ... not bad ... I'd be tempted to do nothing and have 2 frees next week. Certainly wouldn't be doing a).

So what to do about the Nani problem .

No goals and only 1 assist in upteen games , and young / valencia / giigs /park all fit to take his place

But has very good fixtures coming up and its against leaf policy to take out a players with an easy run up coming.

Also would need some united coverage ..Rooney looks the only one guaranteed starts , can see chicboy and welbeck sharing gametime to some degree .

I tryed to believe him into playing :D. I am keeping for 1 more week since the plan was always to get rid after GW13 when the nice run of fixtures are over. I also have Vorm to slot in for him nicely and Wilk for Stoke def cover against BBurn. Bigger issue for me at the moment is Evans, so getting rid of him this week.

I have made plenty of research on who to get in. Best rotation is with Krul or Howard.
But I already own Simpson, so I dont want Krul, and I would prefer Tottenham defensive cover over Everton. I also have a problem in my defense that I lack united cover. So I was thinking either going for De Gea, BAE or Friedel, Jones.

It would cost the same either way, and being the only person here thinking that Jones will get rotated now that Smalling, Rafael, Fabio are all fit. I am thinking of going for De Gea BAE.

Kostja - What does your research say about Schwarzer/Vorm?

Mine indicated it as one of the best cheap rotations around? Alternatively - Kenny (QPR and SWA have perfect home/away rotation).

Fulham actually rotate decently, but I would not invest in a keeper who im not gonna play for the next 5 out of 6 games. If you own Swvarz than you could keep him no prob. I just dont trust Fulham yet to keep it klean. They were on the backfoot even against Sunderland. So looking at the next fixtures, I can see a drop in price for Swarz and maybe hughes. I will reconsider fulham after 6 gw :).
Smart decision here still would be Krul, Kenny well home and away rotate well, But I would not want to play QPR at home to Man UTD gw16, or Vorm vs Tott gw 19. Krul rotates well until the end of the season with 2-4 possible tricky fixtures, same with Howard.
