Saturday’s curtain-closer finds Chelsea and Manchester City colliding at Stamford Bridge. The Blues’ 15-match unbeaten streak came to an end at the hands of Swansea City last Gameweek, while City will be buoyant following their midweek Champions League triumph.

Despite recording the second-most attempts (69) of any team in their previous quartet of league ties, Man City charted in the bottom half for big chances (four), underlining their inefficiency at carving out clear-cut opportunities. Manuel Pellegrini’s men excelled from a defensive standpoint during that period – conceding two goals and the fewest shots inside the box (18) – and have registered two more clean sheets (nine) than any team on their travels.

Only three teams tallied more goals than Chelsea (11) in their last six fixtures, highlighting the Londoners’ renewed attacking impetus under Gus Hiddink. Although Chelsea have only conceded four times in their previous four outings, the fact they ranked joint-fourth for shots inside the box conceded (35) and joint-sixth for big chances surrendered (six) exposes a lack of resolve that the visitors could exploit.

Looks like hindsight now, but have been one of the constant Kun cappers across the weeks even when in bad form. How did I reason myself into capping Sánchez this week with my beloved Kun playing 2 matches? Why? Feel like I don't deserve to play FPL anymore.

On the other hand, if Kun does not score in the second match, Sanchez could easily match him across his 2 matches with one goal in the first match and a brace in the other. BB looks wasted as of now, but 37 would be even more of a waste anyways. 🙁

Just hope somehow Sânchez scores a brace. And those CS points help too.

      I'm a hindsighter too.

But in hindsight, Aguero has been picking up knocks and niggles in the last few games, and City have CL. You want a DGW (c) to be nailed on for minutes, and I never would've trusted him for that in hindsight.

Got it wrong, but would've done the same again. That's all you can ask.

        Aye.

His minutes were what made me firm on Sánchez. Gutted right now, but the reality is that Sánchez can still match him over two matches if Kun doesn't get significant minutes or blanks. #hope

          😆 #hope!

He doesn't even need to match him really. Get within a few, and it makes little difference. But two home games to come, keep the faith!

It's not a perfect science. Kun has looked no more than OK of late. It worked out for cappers. Kudos, but I feel like Sanchez was a very reasonable choice

i don't think any of sanchez captainers can feel they've gone wrong, chelsea looked decent in the first have, city were pure class on the break & you never know with kun, he can get injured in 10 minutes or score hattricks like today, sanchez anyway needs probably just a brace (with max baops & a CS) to be near the aguero score

Agree but it's like someone celebrating winning the league when 2nd can win it with their game in hand.

Not against those with Aguero (TC) celebrating, just annoys me seeing Sanchez (TC) losing hope when he still has two home games against woeful defences
