The draw for the first round of the Paddy Power Cup has been made and qualifiers can click on this link to find out exactly who they’ll be pitting their wits against. Let’s see if graqfreak can take the scalp of none other than Scout overlord Mark this coming Gameweek.

The deadline for transfers for Round 1 is, of course, this Saturday at 11.30, with the announcement of the results to follow a day or two after the end of the Gameweek.

Here’s a reminder of what’s on offer…

The Prizes

Sponsors Paddy Power are supplying the competition with some great prizes and we’re supplementing these with Amazon Vouchers. The prizes break down as follows:

  • Winner – £150 worth of free bets. £50 Amazon Voucher
  • Runner-up – £75 worth of free bets. £30 Amazon Voucher
  • 3rd Place – £50 worth of free bets. £20 Amazon Voucher

Entrants will need a Paddy Power account and be aged 18 and over to be eligible for some of the above prizes. Prizes are also subject to Paddy Power’s terms and conditions.

If you’ve yet to register a Paddy Power account, then you can sign up via this site and get a free £20 when you register and bet £10.

If you’re going to bet with Paddy Power, always gamble responsibly.

I've got two free transfers this week.

I like my team and i'm not in any great hurry to transfer out anyone, so should i make a transfer and then put them back next week?

    I'm thinking Simpson to Monk.

The problem is I've already got Vorm and Allen so do I really want 3 Swansea players in my team?

Don't know your team - but if you have 2 freebies and no pressing changes then my normal tactic is to change one of the benched players to someone with good fixtures over the next 5 or so weeks.

    *NEW PLAN!*
Rooney shouldnt be a long term injury, therefore rather than binning him this week...i might just get myself a good sub in case he misses out! Also means i can get rid of Moses!!
Moses->Allen (free) -then he comes in if Rooney misses out!

FLAWED PLAN ALERT! Swap him for a striker you fancy (tactically) then rebuy for 1 or even 2 less, a tidy little profit.

    Vorm / Kenny
Enrique / Simpson / Wilko / Naylor / De Laet
    Silva / VDV / Bale / Nani / Dyer
    Ade / RVP / Sturridge

1.8m in the bank, 1 free transfer. Any thoughts? Fixing the De Laet problem seems a waste of a transfer to me, more than happy to wait until the Jan wildcard. Itching to do Silva / Nani > Lamps, but think both could backfire spectacularly... just worried Chelsea will destroy Wolves.

    Good news for Rooney owners......

"One bit of good news for Ferguson on the injury front is that striker Wayne Rooney, who has played in midfield in recent weeks, is fit again after he missed the 2-2 Champions League draw with Benfica last Tuesday."

Not sure I can change my team much this week, but I'm bearing down on 1st in my league so wondering what you all think. RvP captaining; the obvious choice.

    Vorm
    Taylor (Swansea) Terry Jones
    Sessegnon Bale VdV Silva
    Ba RvP Adebayor

Got Krul, Enrique, S Taylor and OHara benched.

Any glaring transfers to be made? Only 0.1 in the bank but willing to take a 4pt hit
