Having revealed that one of the Fantasy Football Scout league, Dimitri Nicolaou, emerged triumphant in the Fantasy Premier League (FPL), we can also confirm that Alan Wood was the runaway winner in the Sky Sports Fantasy Football game.

Alan has led from the front for a number of months now and finally sealed his place at the summit, with his team “Atum Forest FC” clinching an astonishing 106-point advantage over his nearest challenger in second spot. Congratulations to Alan, who earns a handy £20,000 for his endeavours in 2015/16.

Fantasy Football Scout supplied three of the top six managers in the Sky Sports game. Jonathan Bancroft took third spot, just five points shy of second, and resultantly earns £1,000. Dexter Hayes, meanwhile, sat in sixth on 2429 points – just nine points behind Jonathan.

In the FFScout league, Trevor Fricker (13th overall) and Barry Grimes (14th) helped complete the top five. Thanks to the endeavours, we successfully defended our crown in the “League of Leagues”, which comes with a £2,000 prize – the top five managers in the Fantasy Football Scout table will each receive £400 as a reward.

Look out for an interview with Alan over the next few days as he discusses his successful campaign.

Even as a United fan, watching Moreno play hurts my eyes.

Big thanks to AZ for running his cash league.

Well run and cash prizes paid out instantly.

Will definitely be joining again next season 🙂

Fair play to you, that comeback was incredible. You had a monster GW 37, had me on the ropes.

Anybody started their watchlist for next season yet?

A player from each position I will closely monitor over pre-season:

    GK: Pickford
    DF: Martina
    MF: Milner
    ST: Gray

      Why Martina?

I'll be looking at Gaston Ramirez if he's cheap enough. Andre Gray too.

Got some good minutes under his belt at the end of the season. If he can nail a starting berth next season he'll probably be the cheapest route into a very good defence.

True, just can't see him being nailed. Cedric will always be a threat to his starts/minutes.

With no european distractions for Liverpool next season meaning no need for serious rotation they may just be a great source of FPL points

Not sure if Milner will make the cut when Klopp makes the changes he needs to in the squad.. I like the look of Lallana.. been excellent for him and Klopp seems to love him too he may well still be a regular feature next season

Not so sure on Lallana myself. Doesn't seem to score enough goals and I would think his position would be more at risk than Milner's (particularly if they can snap up Gotze) but that might be just me.

Pep will love him. I'm a little tentative to own too many City assets until I know what Pep's doing. I'm not for a minute suggesting that de Bruyne won't be first choice but at Bayern a lot of the squad players got frequent run outs.

That said, I guess the fact City don't have a squad with strength in depth and the fact half of the games are potential banana skins will work in KDB and Aguero's favour.

Think I will only be starting with one, though.

Yep i'm going with KDB as my City attacking asset as i will be going with Kane up top.. Kane and Kun is a no go on a 100 mil budget form me personally

Any reasonable/at least guaranteed to start players in the 4.0-5.0 bracket for GK, Def and Mid in the Euro Fantasy game?

No idea who most of them are for bench warmers.. Will need to check some of the upcoming friendlies I think!

there are a few defenders from lesser teams. Need to see who get other CB spot at Austria is the key. No midfielders. Lots of midranger mids 7-8 worth looking at.

      • 13 Years
      9 years, 6 months ago

For gk, Albania, Slovakia, Northern Ireland, Rep of Ireland are all 4.5. At 5 you can get Portugal, Austria and a bunch of others.

Def, Carvajal is 4.5 but remains to be seen if he is nailed. Lots of players for the 'weaker' sides for that range. Dier is 5.0 and should play

Mid, Fayzulin, Arter, Mehmet Topal, Emre Belözoğlu, Denisov, Dallas are in that range but no clue if they get playing time so will need to wait on friendlies

    Babacan
    Hector/Danayer/Matel/Rakitsky
    KDB/Perisic/Inan
    Greizman/Long/Muller

    4.0/ Alaba/Weiss/Koscielny

    RMT

not getting Sanches because he wont play. Neither will Altintop.

Haha, yeah, just trying to help with some info. To be honest the only player I'd consider from us would be Sapunaru as one of your cheap defenders. Stanciu at 5.5 could be a good pick as well, but I'm not wasting a mid slot for him. He's had an amazing season and I really see him scoring.

Sevilla have won the last three Europa Leagues and yet 'Last 16 Arsenal' still have a higher UEFA coefficient than them because Sevilla didn't qualify for Europe four years ago.

How does this look as a 1st draft Euro squad -

    McGovern - Given
    Kosc - Pepe - Rose - R Rod - Carvajal
    Ozil - Martial - Perisic - Hamsik - Xhaka
    Muller - Kane - Arnautovic

One of the better teams, if not the best I have seen on here. Nice balance IMO. Just watch Caravajal, Juanfran will probably start. Denayer 4.5 from Belgium is likely to start. Perisic was the first on my team.

        Thanks! 🙂

Yes, went for balance on the big hitters with mid range players that are potentially big players for their country while having decent fixtures.. Arnie, Hamsik, Perisic.

Will be watching the friendlies for potential non starters + bargains. Think England could be full of bargains for group stages if some players get into the 11.. Sturridge, Lallana, Alli, Wilshere look cheap if they're starting.

Alli is a must for me but that's cuz I'm going without Kane. Solid looking team though but I guess would be too England heavy if you bring in Alli. Like samaael said, monitor Carvajal and shift him if he isn't nailed on.

Regarding the Euros game, when will we know for sure if the rules allow manual substitutions or not?

I believe some mods were looking into it. Haven't seen anything about an official response as yet though. I'm sure it'll become a hot topic once word is received

    Right my first draft

    DDG, Kozacik
    Boateng, Schar, Koscielny, Chester, Vertonghen
Alaba, Reus, Sigurdsson, Pilar, Rafa Silva
    Muller, Giroud, Dzyuba

    £1m to tinker with

No England players ey, hmmm... Chester wouldn't have been my 4.5 pick, Denayer and/or Cedric look the best cheapos to go forward with. Giroud's a funny one tbh, if you want moody just get Sturridge and save a few bob, tiny % and dare I say probably England's most "valuable" player right now. Townsend's an interesting one too, totally mispriced @5.0 if he continues his club form... stick him on the bench.

DDG may be a rotation risk so one to monitor. I think Siggy is overpriced and there are better options out there but I really like your front 3

Already swapped Siggy to Perisic, Croatia have an underrated team. Might put Mandzukic in for Dzyuba too. £1.5m I could do Pilar to Fabregas.... mayyyyyybe Alli but I think (if) he starts he'll be the fall guy getting subbed off after 60 mins, being the "young lad" and all.

Reply fail above but I don't think Sturridge will be starting and Townsend may not even make the final 23 squad

You don't think Sturridge will be starting? He hasn't been picked to warm the bench mate.
Townsend's in for Theo, he'll make the 23 and will get another chance on the park, for sure.

We shall see. I personally think Studgy should start but every possible source does not include him in the starting XI. I also expect Townsend to make the final 23 though it's not certain. Though I don't see him getting many minutes throughout the tournament unless someone else gets injured

4th in the January League 🙂

A bit peeved that the rules were unclear and that I wasted 6/40 transfers tinkering, but lessons learned and all that.

Firmino early doors and 6 captains in DGW34 were awesome fun to own. Certainly my preferred game over FPL as it really rewards planning and patience.

    Right, let's have a crack at this lads;

    -------------------Neuer------------------
    Lichtsteiner Hummels Vertonghen
    -------------------Alaba-------------------
    Perišić------------Alli------------Martial
    ----Griezmann Müller Sturridge-----

    [Townsend-Cedric-Denayer-Mucha]

    Okay?

Wow that fit within the budget? A few decent differentials and will need to keep an eye on how the friendlies line up, but looks a good side. Better than most I've seen being posted

Yeah cheers bud. Fits budget, 0.5 te spare. Thing is, with both the Belgian Spurs CB's playing at full-backs you get a 1.0 saving on Vertonghen which is a bit of a bargain, and the midfield isn't heavy, and Studge shaves a bit off too. gl 😉

Looks decent to me, but do we think that Sturridge will start over Kane and/or Vardy?

Townsend about as good as it gets at that price level, though I don't see many mins for him.

I've tried contacting the game administrators but so far have had no reply to this question so please help.

Our cash mini league also has a cup. Our cup final was drawn. The rules state: If a cup match is drawn, then the following tie-breaks will be applied until a winner is found:
    Most goals scored
    Fewest goals conceded

Since no goals were scored the tie-break comes down to fewest goals conceded. How is fewest goals conceded calculated? Is it for every player including forwards, or only these goals that cost a team penalty points?

Playing around with a team, not a great deal of knowledge of the smaller European teams so will take a while to get the right mix.

    DDG (4.0)
    Boateng - Koscielny - Vertonghen - Dier - Williams
    Perisic - Alli - Alaba - Siggurdson - 4.5
    Ronaldo - Muller - Dzyuba

Got a couple of big hitters up front, though it's frayed around the edges with no 2nd GK, Williams and a presumably non-playing 4.5 in midfield.

Very strong defense & strong attack at the expense of the midfield. There is no 4.0 keeper who is likely to play. Same goes for the 4.5 mid. Will not b able to make full use of the manual sub option b/w game days then.

Agree with this advice. Vertonghen to Denayer frees up some cash to spend elsewhere. There are better, cheaper options than Siggy as well imo

    RMT Euro Fantasy 1st Draft:

    McGovern - Berisha
    Hector - Koscielny - Denayer - Matel - Berezutski
    Alaba - Alli - Hazard - Perisic - Siggurdson
    Milik - Griezmann - Muller

0.0 in the bank. No room for Portugal, Spain or Italian players

Needs some Portugal imo, easy group. Vice stated above that Matel won't start and he seems knowledgeable of Romania. Siggy is overpriced for me and there are better options out there. Like the Milik differential. I'd also monitor Carvajal, at his price he's a must if he manages to claim a starting spot

What are some position changes that will be FPL relevant next year? Martial and Rooney mids? Kirchoff a mid?

      • 12 Years
      9 years, 6 months ago

Hopefully Blind as a defender. I can't see Martial being put as a mid as he did play about a dozen games as a centre forward. That said he probably still should be to bring him in line with Hazard and Sanchez.

      Rooney possibly but not Martial.
Blind to a defender? But not sure he'll be getting so many starts next season.
