Defending champions Spain lose their 11-match unbeaten run ahead of Euro 2016 after falling to defeat at home to Georgia.

Spain 0 Georgia 1

Spain suffered a shock 1-0 home reverse at the hands of Georgia in their final pre-Euro 2016 friendly last night.

Vicente de Bosque opted for the defensive quartet he mainly favoured over the qualifiers, with right-back Juanfran, who sets you back 5.5, the cheapest option in defence. The Atletico Madrid man was replaced at the break by Hector Bellerin (5.0), though, and bearing in mind that the latter played from start to finish in the previous two, there’s perhaps enough doubts over Juanfran’s pitch time to reconsider his acquisition.

Elsewhere at the back, Gerard Pique – owned by 11% compared to Sergio Ramos’ 29% – proved the greatest close-range threat for the home side and fired three attempts inside the box. David de Gea, meanwhile, was handed his first start in four, though admits he is still uncertain over starting berth given that Del Bosque has now fielded a different keeper in each of the last three.

Despite firing 17 attempts on goal, Spain managed a mere three shots on target, with Del Bosque’s decision to opt for Aritz Aduriz over the in-form Alvaro Morata up front failing to pay off. Given that the former managed a single attempt on goal, Morata will fancy his chances of returning to the XI for the first group match with Czech Republic.

Del Bosque once again opted for Nolito on the left flank. The Celta Vigo man was unable to replicate the form that harvested back-to-back braces against Bosnia and South Korea, he was still joint-top for attempts on goal (three).

The likes of David Silva and Andres Iniesta were afforded second-half sub roles by Del Bosque. The former teed up three scoring chances in just 38 minutes but his team-mates failed to convert.

Spain XI De Gea; Juanfran (Bellerin 46), Ramos (San Jose 46), Pique, Alba; Fabregas (Iniesta 46), Busquets (Pedro 76), Alcantara (Koke 46); Vazquez (Silva 61), Aduriz, Nolito

Rodriguez to Lichtsteiner/Shaar upgrade Alli to Grosicki (if fit)...

Stanciu faces France 1st match, better to transfer him in MD2/3 with easier fixtures

    RTM

    Kozacik / Rui Patricio
    Juanfran / Giaccherini / Denayer / Glik / Strinic
    Fabregas / Gotze / Hamsik / Pogba / Alaba
    Kane / Muller / Giroud

    Any ideas on upgrading Strinic.
May be Lindelof more nailed, or I can use Matel if I see him playing in the line-up before the deadline of the first match.

As a Swede, I can't say that Lindelof is nailed. He should be though!

Gotze will definitely start imo. The question is whether it will be as a striker or cam.

    Strong defence
Gonna punt on Ronnie over Muller, hoping Gotze will soak up the points for the German offensive

    Chester/Djourou/Juanfran/Rami/Denayer

Ronaldo or Lewandowski? Even being half-Polish I can't see Poland doing too well in their group. Portugal's group looks a lot easier...any thoughts much appreciated.

Being 100% Polish I can't see us scoring a lot in our group, either. Ronaldo.

For me Lewa... if he doesn't do well you can still give the captaincy to someone else, while cristiano plays last

Moreover, Poland scored 33 goals in qualifications, that is 3+ goals in every match,,, Portugal are a very defensive team, scoring a third of Poland's haul, a measly 11 goals averaging only 1 goal every match....

Also, to keep in mind Cristiano was vacationing on the beach until just a few days ago, he might not be on his best condition coming into the tournament...

Any thoughts on this, I'm such a Euro-noob, have tried to do some research.
    Here it goes:

    Patricio Kozacik:
    Hector Rami Schär Juanfran Dragovic:
    KDB Draxler Alaba Perisic Weiss;
    Muller Giroud Milik

    0 ITB

Milik was ineffective in Poland's final friendly against Lithuania and has quite a tough group it seems. Can't see him scoring more than one in the group stages. Other than that it looks good.

    Neur - Rui Patricio

    Dier - Giaccherini - Rami - Ramos - Strinic

Stanciu - Alli - Pogba - Draxler - De Rossi

    Lewandowski - Giroud - Muller

Trying to swap Lewandowski for Ronaldo (see earlier post)...any thoughts on the team at this stage much appreciated.

    Just some thoughts.

Are we following the FFS template on here a bit more than we should be? Some people on here are suggesting players to others that they don't know much about at all other than what they have read on here.

I know the knowledge on this site is incredible! I don't doubt that and I know many have done hard research into stats and so on.

In saying that, are we trying too hard to create teams with differentials and hidden gems rather than going with the template a bit more with just one or two differentials thrown in to begin with?

I mean for example the majority of teams on here posting RMT's have Perišić (5% ownership) in them (myself included). Also Rami, Dragovic, Denayer all with 3% or less ownership all of which I own also. I am following the template on here because I have never played the Euro fantasy before. I have only really started to look at it in the past week or so and I don't have much knowledge on the Int friendlies and qualifiers.

For a better example maybe, I currently own:

Perišić 5%, Hamšík 5% and Giroud 12% which is pretty template here.

But for the same price I can get:

Alli 32%, Modric 22% and Griezmann 33% which is clearly more template in the game overall?

(I know Alli is highly owned on here also, just working within the price range)

Can someone answer me why having Payet and Matuidi is a bad thing?

    My team is like this:

    Patricio and 4m keeper

Dragovic - Guerrerio - Rodriguez (Strinic)
    Payet - Matuidi - Stanciu - Götze - Peresic
    Muller - Giroud (C) - CR7

    Any pointers?
