Sunday affords DraftKings managers a trio of Euro 2016 fixtures to construct their squads around as Groups C and D get up and running.

Our next set of player recommendations assess what’s on offer tomorrow as in-form pair Turkey and Croatia square up in the early two o’clock slot before Poland take on Northern Ireland and Germany go head-to-head with Ukraine later in the evening.

Croatia and Turkey both boast fine recent records. The pair have tasted defeat just once in their last 13 and 16 fixtures respectively and Croatia warmed up for their opener with a 10-0 trouncing of San Marino in midweek.

World Champions Germany fired more shots and attempts on target than any side on the road to Euro 2016, whilst Poland arrive as the top scoring team in qualifying.

We’ve assembled our player tips for Sunday’s DraftKings contests below, focusing on a mix of big-money names that are likely to be key figures, along with a sprinkle of value alternatives that may just prove equally vital to our eight-man line-ups.

Matchday 3 Player Picks

Darijo Srna, Croatia – $6100
The Croatia captain’s raids down the flank look vital to his side’s prospects against Turkey. Srna sat third top for crosses amongst defenders in qualifying and has maintained that form in the last four friendlies by earning a trio of assists. Turkey are clearly susceptible to aerial balls – they conceded 22 headed attempts over the group stages, the fourth-worst defensive record – and with target man Mario Mandzukic back in top form, Srna’s supply line could prove decisive.

Jakub Wawrzyniak, Poland – $4100
With three clean sheets in their final four friendlies, Poland’s defence looks worthy of consideration against a Northern Ireland outfit that has scored more than a single goal in just one of their last seven. An injury to first-choice left-back Maciej Rybus has allowed Jakub Wawrzyniak to start two of the final three friendlies. Priced at a kind $X, he produced a cross every 30.4 minutes in qualifying, quicker than the pricier Lukasz Piszczek on the opposite side of the back-four for Adam Nawalka’s side.

Toni Kroos, Germany – $6700
An all-action option in the centre of the park, Kroos was ranked amongst the top five midfielders for both attempts on goal and chances created in the qualifiers. Having averaged 73% possession on the road to France, Germany are likely to dominate proceedings against Ukraine, with Kroos’ ball-winning abilities key to breaking up their opponents’ rapid counter attacks. Number one for corner kicks, the Real Madrid man offers a secure pick at a time where Joachim Lowe is mulling over the make-up of his attack.

Yevhen Konoplyanka, Ukraine – $7100
The Ukraine wide man approaches the tournament in fine fettle after bagging two goals and a pair of assists in his last four outings. Konoplyanka’s pace and trickery on the break will be a vital weapon against Germany if Mikhail Fomenko’s side are to upset the world champions – he won more fouls than any player over the qualifiers. As his nation’s chief creator from open play and dead ball situations, Konoplyanka will be tasked with unlocking a backline that’s managed just a single clean sheet in their last nine matches.

Robert Lewandowski, Poland – $11,200
Given that Thomas Muller could be utilised on Germany’s right flank against Ukraine, we’re turning to Poland’s talisman as our premium DraftKings forward for Sunday’s matches. Top scorer in qualifying with 13 strikes, Lewandowski also supplied a trio of assists and played a part in 51% of his side’s goals. Opponents Northern Ireland can be expected to sit deep and soak up the pressure but considering they mustered a mere three clean sheets on the road to France, the Bayern Munich frontman should be afforded plenty of opportunities to get off the mark.

DraftKings contests for Sunday’s matches are now available, including a $3 entry “Striker” with a $5k prize pot.

DraftKings is available only to those aged 18 or over. Be sure to take note of their Terms and Conditions here.

we are and we did, but our depth isn't there.
Williams played on through a knock but James Collins wouldn't have been a good sub.
Ledley had a broken leg a month ago, Rambo ran his guts out and must be knackered.

Proud welshman here with no voice left, but we'll struggle to play our pressing game after 2 or 3 matches

England were way better than I expected and if they play like that again they should progress. On today's evidence they were far better than the other 2 teams in the group. Liked Rooneys role , Walker was good but Kane and Stirling disappointing. Poor goal to concede . The group is now very interesting.

We looked good against a disjointed defence and a lazy midfield that constantly exposed that disjointed defence, and still couldn't win.

Also, against three attackers who couldn't run for open spaces if their lives depended on it. Never seen three attackers so obediently standing next to their markers. It's like they were trying to get the English defenders on date instead of getting rid of them. Marking their markers, ffs.

Wales and Slovakia both showed at least movement: pressing and making oneself available for passes, and also passing faster and not just keeping the ball until the opponent has fully organised their defence like Russians did.

You take out Rooney who is perfect in defence and put in Wilshere who lost more balls in 15 mins than Rooney in 75. You leaving useless Sterling for so long and not put in Vardy who is perfect for 1-0 results and counter attacks. God, help that Hodgson.

Yep, I was gonna go with him on Daily 7's too, but already had him in fantasy so wanted to spread it a bit. Someone has all Swiss defenders with Schär C, Shaqiri, Bale and Dier for sure.

I'd love to take my kids to a tournament game, but this is why you can't.

I don't condone violence, but let's at least hope it's karma and the Russians get the England hooligans, not the innocent England fans just wanting a nice day out.

The Russian hoolies are at least as bad as ours imo - there are just fewer of them. I am not condoning English hooligans at all but they are always targeted by overseas organised gangs . Read the story of the guy who infiltrated Milwall fans and you see how sophisticated the whole hooligan fight game is. It still goes on now more often than most think.

Well, another in the long line of English Management c**k-ups, #467.
Not surprised. No English players in my line up, and I'm glad.

I am desperately sad for about 6 of the young English players, who were splendid, and let down by the Management first, and by several key senior players, notably Hart and Rooney - not forgetting Milner, second.

A period of silence from Gary Neville would now be very much appreciated.

Now let me sulk in peace. 🙂

Milner's cameo cost them the game

Apart from that England played very well (apart from Kane)

The biggest problem is WOY.. Knows nothing about football and lives 10 years in the past.. Leaving an in form drinkwater for wilshire.. Sturridge... anyway one more lesson learnt and world cup preparation will start early..

I would've chose Wilshere over Drinkwater myself. It was clear Drinkwater couldn't cut it at international level, imo. Didn't you see his performances in an England shirt?

you dont judge him based on one match... he played a huge part in lei season.... wilshire is useless and has been injured for 99% of the season.. wheelchair or a workhorse?

Wilshere is great for England. Drinkwater played a few times and he never performed well. Drinkwater suits Leicester's style yes, and he had a fantastic season but I simply do not think he's good enough at international level. To each his own, I guess.

I'm sorry, but he was rubbish, imo. Slowed the play down, went for the Hollywood pass, took a dead ball once, badly, rarely tackled, and was the worst captain in my living memory. Balance? Where the sun don't shine.

Problem is he played 1 or 2 decent balls. And that's all that will be concentrated on. Forgetting the other 50 terrible balls he played.

Appreciate your view Doos but I maybe saw his performance differently . I actually was impressed by his performance (it's not his fault Woy sees him as a captain ) and have wanted to see him play in a depeer position for a long time. Don't get me wrong as you can see by my posting history I am very "England sceptical" but I was encouraged by tonight.

He no longer can strike the dead ball. He long since lost his pace. He regularly gives the ball away. He is awful for morale. I was devastated by tonight. Right from the very first "Kane Corner".

I felt desperately sorry for the young ones.

No pace agree and what the hell, is Kane doing taking corners ?
This was more due to a few obvious players not being on the pitch.
Jury out for me but I a m encouraged even though bizarrely my 17 year old england optimistic son saw the game the same as you.
I am starting to question my judgement !
