With so many of us awaiting details on Rafael Van der Vaart’s fitness ahead of the weekend, today’s team news from White Hart Lane was much too vague for our liking.

There was no mention of the Dutchman at all from Tottenham’s official website, though this may be down to the fact that Van der Vaart is, of course, omitted from the Europa League Group Stages squad.

The player himself has taken to twitter this afternoon and was fairly non-committal, saying nothing more than he was “working hard on fully recovering”.

In a sense, tomorrow night’s Europa League lineup against PAOK could give Fantasy managers pointers as to his availability. With Roman Pavlyuchenko a doubt for the game, Jermain Defoe’s presence in the first-team could perhaps provide a positive hint that Van der Vaart is on his way back for Saturday’s game against Bolton.

Defoe’s omission, though, could point to doubts over the Dutchman’s chances of lining up against the Trotters. Tomorrow’s teamsheet will be of plenty interest to the 14.2% of Fantasy managers currently holding Van der Vaart, with that pesky hamstring problem hanging over him once again.

All this Ramires babble has got me thinking.
Who would be your sleeper hit for the next couple of gameweeks? (let's say about 5)
Mine would be Cahill. Classified as a midfielder, yet most often plays as a striker. He is one of the best headers of the ball, and he can now rely on very good crosses from not only Baines, but also Drenthe. I know he just came back from injury, but he's starting to look sharpish, add to that a very kind run of fixtures, and I think I've got myself a differential.

Only had Lampard in 3 weeks. Do we think he was rested at the weekend and should play most games for a while or was he rotated/dropped.

Im considering using my two free transfers next week to do the following:

    Lampard > Nani
    Bendtner > Ba

    Sound good moves?

There's quite a lot of Lampard chatter on the previous page. My personal opinion is that you should definitely get rid.

Yeah ive read your comments regarding Ramires/Lampard and that is part of what made me think I should get rid.

I thought he may have been a good differential but now it looks as though hes not as nailed on for starts as I thought and also the fact that I thought he would get himself a tactical yellow against wolves means there could b any game round the corner coming up that he may miss out on.

I'm hoping he's ruled out. Want to sell but can't with the threat of him playing!?!

I have Bale VDV and Walker – I want to get Adebayor for 4pt hit

Option A) Walker -> Williams (SWA) and Dzeko -> Adebayor
Option B) Dzeko -> Adebayor and VDV to 9.6 midfiled (Mata?)

I was initally thinking A but since VDV is still doubtful and Walker may get a CS, thinking that B is also a good option (Mata may not be the best choice…)

    Thoughts?
