The draw for second round of Fantasy Football Scout’s Paddy Power Cup V has been made, giving the 512 fantasy managers in the competition a full day or two to scout their opposition. The full fixture list can be viewed by clicking here. Let’s see what the draw has thrown up…

Last week’s top-scorer, Gullikhul, might not have as easy a passage into the next round this time, as he comes up against a very evenly-matched challenger in Gorby. Sitting one point overall more than Gullikhul, he will surely fancy his chances of showing him the door for an immediate exit.

The lottery has handed our former tournament winners some favourable ties, with Jonty facing a side, Duggans Dreamteam, over 40k places below him in the standings. Gooner dave has it even easier, coming up against DaFoe22, who sits just outside the top 600k. As for Ninja_fit_saints, his opponent 369 mofo has only been in existence for seven weeks, and will do well to break the top two million this season.

The main man himself, Mark, finds himself in the tie of the round against cup reglar McEwan. Having knocked me out last season, McEwan will be confident of taking the ultimate scalp. And, sitting 2,434th in the world, he is probably favourite to do just that.

Elsewhere for the Scouts, greek fan takes on top 100k in the world mvtaylor.

The highest ranked fantasy manager in the competition, bobbyg, has a potentially tricky tie against huma. Despite sitting 2,503,619th overall, his five week old team contains a lot of recent success stories, so form is on his side.

Good luck to everyone in the second round, and I’ll bring you the results a couple of days after Gameweek 14 has come to an end.

    mornings lads, looking to get rid of woodgate. have 4.7 to spend. i want a decent option who i can rotate if needed. im thinking brown or ward. my defence (& gk's) are: vorm, ruddy, jones, bae, enrique & simpson. im looking to not double up at the back. ward has played every game & is sometimes oop, i know his points are not regular but im leaning towards him. any thoughts?

          Yeah, Wardy against a managerless Sunderland could be fruitful.

          Thanks - it's taken a few seasons but I'm learning!

    Thoughts/ideas?

    Ruddy (Begovic)
    Simpson / Wilkinson / BAE (Brown / Evans)
    DVD / Silva / Ramsey / Nani (Sessegnon)
    Ba / RVP / Bendybus

    2 free transfers, 1.4m in the bank...

    Obviously I have issues - Bego & Evans not playing, Sunderland being utter gash. But where to spend?

    a) Bego & Evans -> Krul & Jones
    b) DVD, Bego & Evans -> Bale, Krul & Baines
    c) DVD & Evans -> Bale & Jones
    d) Bego & Evans -> Vorm & Jones
    e) Another option (please specify...)

    Cant make my mind up who to captain this week Aguero, Adebayor or RVP? at the moment im going for Aguero with RVP as vice. Cant really see Adebayor having another blinder three times in a row especially with the likely return of VDV (who i dont have) and can see Aguero destroying Norwich, but then the thought of RVP creeps into my mind. aaarrrghhhhh......

      RVP purple patch is over. People are forgetting how streaky he has been in recent seasons (as I have repeatedly discovered, to my cost). If I had Aguero I'd be all over that, Norwich can't withstand an hour of him.

      i have the same three forwards, i am going with Adebayor because he is Spurs sole forward and pretty much everything goes to him.

      1.He has fantastic midfielders supplying him with crosses and passes.
      2.He is the best in the air out of the three
      3. He sees the goal he shoots.

    Morning lads.

    Planning next couple of weeks' transfers to end up with this team:

    Krul, Vorm
    Kompany, Jones, Enrique, Simpson, NTaylor
    Silva, VDV, Larsson, Walters, Dyer
    RVP, Adebayor, Ba

    0.9 leftover

    Can I improve it? Thanks!

    Vorm ( Given )
    Enrique Walker ShawX ( Simpson Turner )
    Mata ( VC ) VDV Silva Rodwell ( Dyer )
    Ade RVP (C ) Studge

    Am seriously considering ShawX to Jags and Rodwell to O’Hara for a 4 point hit – then can play Dyer next week for Fulham ( H )

    Don’t like hits, especially for a defender but think Stoke are going to get hammered and think O’Hara is a good punt and differential? My team is far too similar to my opponent in the cup and need a differential or two!

      Just do Shawcross to Jags and be done with it. If Wolves go back to 442, O'hara is less threatening

    Who is this Jonty lad? I've beaten him 5 out of the last 6 weeks, right choice of captain and hopefully I'll do it again!

          Here are your anti picks this week Doosra;

          Pavlyuchenko, Vellios and Lita.

          So Adebayor, Saha and Graham should come good if you fancy them

    Has anyone seen the FIFA world XI short list? It's more of a popularity contest more than anything. Should be based on form over the year.

    I wouldn't include any of the below on that basis:

    Eric Abidal, Rio Ferdinand, Lucio, David Luiz, Alessandro Nesta, Kaka, Frank Lampard, Eto, Neymar, Drogba, Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
