The penultimate team in our series of members’ articles, which review the numbers behind the 2015/16 season, are West Brom.

We get our analysis underway by assessing the Baggies team statistics and compare them to the rest of the Premier League and their previous league campaign. We then take a close look at their first-team squad, main goal threats and creative sources with one eye on the season kick-off in just over two weeks’ time.

The Baggies finished in fourteenth position last time out – just six points clear of the drop zone – after a dire run of form saw them draw four and lose five of their final nine league fixtures.

Pulis’ side struggled for a cutting edge and managed to find the net on just 34 occasions – down on their 38 goals from 2014/15 and a tally superior only to basement-dwellers Villa.

              Didn't play #10 or left side really. We played 3-5-2 with a deep lying playmaker (Marchisio) and two midfield runners (Khedira and Pogba). LCM with freedom to make forward runs is where Paul has played pretty much his entire Juve career whether it be in the 3-5-2 or 4-3-1-2.

        For a CM, his stats look great in terms of goals assists and attempts on goal.

      9/10 shots end in row Z from what I've seen. Definitely has the potential though - just not for FPL.

      I'd get him for a draft league that rewards chances created, shots on target, interceptions & tackles, but definitely not FPL considering both:

      A) Is not a high-volume goalscoring mid by any means, that's just not Pogba's playstyle. 31 goals & 28 assists in 164 apps (all comps) for Juve since he joined. Albeit he's improved massively every season for attacking returns, & coming off his best with 8 goals & 12 assists in 35 apps in Serie A last season. I have my doubts he can best that if he's in a position that limits his influence in the final third, which leads to my next point

      B) Will likely be shoehorned as the left-pivot in Mourinho's stubborn 4-2-3-1. Ideally he'd be played as the left CM in a 433 with more license to attack & contribute in the final third & have less of the defensive burden. But alas.

      C) Likely to come in at 9-9.5 imo, restrictive price for what he'll offer & the competition at his price range. You can get Micki for a similar price & he produced almost as many attacking returns in one single season as Pogba did in his whole tenure at Juve (all comps for both)

      I'd go Stones -> Mori, then Parades -> Neil Taylor. I'd also swap Walker to Shaw and you have a great defence.
      Midfield and attack is very, very good. Although I'd go Rondon over Long but that's just preference.

        Well maybe because I structured my team to get Kane in 2 transfers as I have 2 7.5 mids as my 3rd and 4th. I think it would be foolish not to have a plan in place to get Kane/Ibra without major surgery

      I like this team alot. Your only bad move is not having city players. Under Gvardiola they r gonna play offensive football with lots of goals and ur gonna miss alot of those points. Could be crucial.

      I would trade Cesc for someone like ayew/siggy or lens/khazri. More attacking players in lesser sides

        Bailey is there cos I like to be different but will likely be Shaw come August.

        Considering this kinda move but I just feel like Cesc is very underpriced if he performs like he can. Will monitor though. I do love a bit of Siggy.

      Fabregas depends on role - if he's going to be no.10 then yes, but I suspect he won't.

    How much do you trust them?

    The midfielders in particular are fascinating. There is one player who is very fancied on here that doesn't even make the top 10!
