Think your defence is actually alright, in the sky game spending too much money on defence isn't worthwhile. If anything look to get a Chelsea player in for Captaincy purposes, otherwise good team.

Good team, im liking the Aina punt! If he can start will be terrific value, just keep an eye on him however. Other then that, very balanced with all captaincy options covered.
Solid team-as a CHE fan, we all want Aina to start instead of Ivanovic, who was dreadful last season(most were but he especially)-Ivan is not fit(not injured) but out of shape and personally think Conte wont have him starting for 2-3 weeks, so defo watchlist as could be GOLD @6.1m.....would prefer others to Gibbo as you have 2 MID's players, maybe Ward(CRY) or even Cook for BOU who has very good stats for passes/blocks/clearances etc which will suit sky game....Heaton/Foster/Gomes/Mandanda should all be good GK's even Pickford(SUN) if he's #1 as Moyes loves him...tried to get him at MUN but shhhhh about that punt 🙂
May want to swap a MUN maybe Mikh>>Xhaka/Fernandinho(bonus pts with tackles passes will be good from these 2 i think)/even Fab(plenty of passes bonus pts if he's nailed & playing forward'ish (he averaged 78 passes per game last season-that=3 bonus pts a game this season with new scoring

Really like Mkhitaryan, take onboard Gibson advice. I was at one point toying with three from same club WBA or Mid at back, is there a "general thinking" on doing that as opposed different teams ?
You could go 3 from same club but would rather mix and match. Friend from boro and Dawson from WBA seem the most appealing from those 2 teams.

Hey guys, sort of a Sky newbie, some really weird rule changes and the prices don't help at all. Anyway....

I'll talk you through it...
Courtois - Usually i'd just stick a fodder in here but 7pts per clean sheet means investment this year. Still undecided over which keeper to go for but Courtois under Conte should yield 15 clean sheets.
Defence - These are the best cheap guys, if you know what I mean. All three look great from a bonus perspective, fingers crossed their defences hold up.
Midfield - As a result of the prior two, it feels like i'm missing an extra big hitter. Payet seems essential for captaincy purposes looking at the opening few weeks, Hazard will rake in those man of the matches and that's the main reason why I prefer him to Cesc, as well as his greater attacking appeal. Ramsey seems like a bargain to me, again added attacking appeal over teammate Cazorla. Deulo, Redmond are punts.
Forwards - The two big boys, would actually go Kane over Ibra if it wasn't for captaincy purposes.
Would love a bit of feedback, though 😉
Like it! Really good team just keep an eye on Nyom as not sure his nailed this season, maybe change to Ward/Tompkins if funds allow. Also Redmond might be rotated because of Europa, Townsend looks great value. Rambo could be gold this year loads of bonus potential, just gonna see what position he starts hopefully not wide right.
Strong team.....Sky always best 3-5-2 with cheapo GK/Defence
Courtois>>Gomes/Heaton/Foster/Mandanda as these may not be far behind what with saves bonus pts etc/pen saves and could allow you an extra 1m+ funds
....bear in mind FAB averaged 78 passes per game last season(and didn't have a great season)=3 bonus pts(over 70 passes) per match this season if he repeats....
Prefer Cook for bonus pts over Francis but he is decent pick
Williams>>EVE for 10m could be a done deal, in that case I would avoid Swans defence completely
Nyom>>Ward may be better or keep an eye on Aina(CHE 6.1m)
Ramsey likely to miss at least 2 matches

Would swap Evans for Dawson as much greater goal threat. Lack of ManU player might hurt you because of their captaincy options, swap Alli for Mhiki instead maybe? Also Sanchez is still out injured so keep an eye on that. Couple of punts there but decent team.

I'm always weary of first timers in Prem as they don't have a great record but those guys are world class with good manager. Debating inclusion myself.
Heaton should get plenty bonus points but might get eaten into by goals conceded. Sean already knows the league so will be tight and try to get to the 40 points.
Swans defence could be unknown if Williams leaves.
Mehrez depends on transfers. Dier solid points but maybe rotation with Wanyama depends on tactics, Europe etc.
KDB depends on formation. Noble solid points + pens.
Aguero solid but injury prone. Ibra:- mad man who knows.

I would look at taking Dier out don't think he will score as much as last year now classed as a midfielder also may be rotated due to new signing Wanyama. Other than that good team would possible look at changing Rangel if Williams leaves
Good points all round. Rangel won't be starting, look at Cook maybe as an alternative. Also look at getting a Chelsea player in as they do have attractive captaincy options to start of with.

I've just read the article on Fantasy football addict. Rang a bell. So I thought I would share my thinking and ask for some help.I'm current champ for my league 2 years running. Looking like a great season and harder than ever to win.
Although there is still transfers left to go and community shield usually is handy to find out at least 2 team formations and players, I'm being kept awake at night with my team. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.
Keeper:-
Foster:- Positives:-Southampton have a solid defence. Clean sheets. Foster bargain because of injuries last year. Same backline as last year apart from new right back and cover for Wanyama.
Negatives:- Europa league can effect form.
Substitutes:- Gomez but Watford have a difficult first few games.
Defence:-
Williams:- Positives:- Good bonus points, cheapish and Swansea defence is ok.
Negatives:- Transfers out. If Williams joins Everton Baines would be better for points but will he be first choice and Evertons defence will be an unknown for the first few games. Poss. Coleman
Francis:- Cheap, Captain so nailed on starter.
Negatives:- Bournemouth defence should be a bit tighter this season................hopefully.
Friend:- Cheap. attacking full back so hopefully lots of bonus points.
Negatives:- Newly promoted teams are a hit or miss. Possible rotation.
Zuniga:- Cheap. Attacking full back; bonus points. Italian manager = Defensive + 352
Negatives:- First few fixtures. Manager untested outside Italy. New to Prem.
Midfield=
Hazard:- Undervalued due to poor season. Possible lots of points. Chelsea not in Europe. Italian manger=defensive, 352/424.
Negatives:- Conte formation unknown, first season for manager, Rotation?
Fabregas:- Proven points scorer. Slightly undervalued. Same reasons as above.
Negatives:- Same reasons as above
Possible transfer in Mahraz depends on transfer or Mkhitaryan for utd exposure but first season so unknown.
Both Mahraz and Mkhitaryan have euro problems.
Silva:- Proven points scorer. Good manager. Assists for Ageuro.
Negatives:- manager first season, unknown formation, form, injuries. Europe. Rotation?
Lamela:- Proven points scorer. Pre-season form. Getting better each season. Wanyama allows him to be more attacking
Negatives:- Europe, rotation,
Possible transfer in Barckley but Everton unknown this season. Ramsey rotation? Tadic? Deulo? Kante/Wanyama/Henderson/Noble for bonus points?

Ageuro:- Proven points man. Good service. manager. Nailed on starter

Oh ok my bad. Look to change formation firstly, 3-5-2 always best choice with sky. Did you mean Forster not Foster as GK? Defence good if you take out Zuniga. Midfield needs work on, Lamela most likely rotated due to Europa. No West Ham player for captaincy options might hinder you also. Strikers very good.

Good team, just a couple of changes needed i would say. Not sure on Mendy, Ibe/Redmond/Townsend much more attractive options for same price. Origi has looked good in pre season but not nailed, will be rotated with Studge i think.

Good player just not convinced by Burnley tbh, will get goals but not sure whether he will be another Vardy but definitely one to keep an eye on.
What's the best combination strategy for 5 midfielders?
For example - 2 defensive for bonus and 3 attacking for goals and assists?

Good question, this year is a first with the new bonus system so hard to tell really. Personally im going 2 for bonus and 3 for goals at the start. However if bonus players are outscoring the attacking ones, will change it.
Better to go with 5 attacking midfielders I think go for goals and assists and if they get a bonus great Ozil was great for this last year
I defo think a mix rather than all eggs in 1 basket-some MIDs are almost guaranteed 2-3 bonus pts a game if not more(like 7-8) for passes/tackles....... if you see last years stats where as not as easy to get a goal or assist every game. You won't get 5 x Ozil MIDs for e.g.
Bonus pts look better this year (was 4 last year for tackles-this year 3 etc)

Barrow and Aina are gambles granted but the former has done well in pre season. They've left me wtith 1.5 in the bank if one/neither are playing
Aina could do well, just keep an eye out at the starts. Barrow is a big risk, for 0.5 you could upgrade to Leko who would be a much more attractive punt in my opinion. Other then that good balanced team.
