→ The 2014/15 season was Sergio Aguero's best ever for Fantasy returns. Seven of his goals/assists and 36 of his FPL points came in two meetings with which club that year? Scout Betting

All of last season, between two clubs, two divisions and a respectable 2300 minutes of football, Yakubu managed to net only 12 times. This term, before we’ve even reached the half-way stage, “the Yak” has delivered 9 in the league, one in the cup and sits above the likes of Wayne Rooney, Emmanuel Adebayor and Mario Balotelli in the chase for the Golden Boot.

Blackburn may not have taken advantage of his resurgence in form, in terms of their league position, but we sure did, courtesy of a return on “a goal and Blackburn to win” at 5/2 in last week’s “Flutter”.

Winnings in hand, we stride through Paddy Power’s doors once again to see what prices they have to offer for another gameweek…

First up, we’re sniffing around Liverpool’s Jose Enrique at home to Queens Park Rangers. Although he’s had a three match lull in terms of Fantasy points, the Spaniard is up against a side that has been slowly drifting toward mediocrity after an explosive start to the season. Enrique to assist and score is up for grabs, but with a cleanie very much on the cards, we’ll take that and no booking at 11/10 for £5 of our stake this week.

Next up is Chris Eagles. For a bargain midfielder, he’s accrued a respectable 59 Fantasy Premier League points this campaign so far, featuring heavily in Bolton’s flip-flop form. Paddy favour Villa, even as the visitors here, offering some longer prices with a goal and assist at 14/1. We’ve seen Eagles deliver this twice before this season, so this is a worthy punt for a £1.

Nani has drifted out of many Fantasy line-ups in recent weeks, echoing United’s recent lull in attacking terms. However, the winger has still managed to impress whilst his team-mates struggle to find a goalscoring rhythm – particularly in the midweek Champions League defeat, where Nani looked a major threat. Paddy have Nani to score and perform a back-flip at 9/2 to take our quid this week; they’ve also priced up a less acrobatic goal and assist at 5/1.

Having displayed potent goalscoring potential at West Ham, Demba Ba has really come alive this year in the wake of Newcastle’s summer sales. Calm in front of goal, he nets with his head, left and right boot, and from the penalty spot, with confidence. A one pound stake at 12/1 on Ba to score twice or more against an obliging Norwich defence is well justified, given that he’s already bagged two hat-tricks this season.

Our final market of the week is “Who will score the most goals”, featuring Wayne Rooney at 10/11, Robin van Persie at 13/8 and West Brom’s Shane Long at 3/1. Most weeks we’d look to the Flying Dutchman for goals, but with Rooney’s World Cup ban lightened to lift his spirits, we’ll go with Granville’s ScoutCast heavy-hitter for the last £1 left of our tenner; more for bragging rights rather than hard cash.

Just a reminder, if you missed Thursday’s “Paddy Says”, detailing the bookies view on clean sheets, goals and anytime scorers, you can soak it up right here.

Paddy’s Money Back Specials

Paddy have a host of refund offers on show for the weekend. They start at the Stadium of Light for Martin O’Neill’s first match in charge. If O’Neill witnesses four or more goals in the match, Paddy will refund all losing first/last goalscorer, correct score and scorecast singles. Paddy are also paying back all losing first/last goalscorer, correct score and scorecast singles on the Stoke vs Totttenham clash, if Peter Crouch nets against his old club.

Down at Stamford Bridge, Paddy are risking refunds if there’s a last gasp goal. If a goal is scored in the last five minutes of the Chelsea vs City clash they will again refund all losing first/last goalscorer, correct score and scorecast singles on the match.

Register and Bet £10 And Get £20 Free

If you’re new to this betting lark and new to Paddy Power then you can take up any of these odds and offers and get yourself a bonus. You can sign up via this site and get a free £20 when you register an account and bet a tenner.

Finally of course, we should state that all these offers are only available to those aged 18 and over and are subject to Paddy Power’s terms and conditions. Also, if you’re going to bet, always gamble responsibly.

if I brought in pjones for wilko my defence would read:
    baines richards enrique rtaylor jones

total overkill but man it would be the ultimate attacking back 5

In case yr wondering the rest of my team would is

silva bale walters allen 7.5 mid?(formerly vdv)

    rvp morison adebeyor

    vorm and krul in goal

I would be playing 5 backs just about every week tho

I'm aiming for a similar defensive line-up as yours: Jones, Kompany, Vermaelen, Jose Enrique and Simpson. Obviously, mine's a bit cheaper, but I'd still have to play 4 defenders most week, which wouldn't be too bad imo, because 3 of those 5 defenders have the ability to score goals.

I have been contemplating getting in Long for Hernandez this week but am having second thoughts as it is only a short term punt. I really I want either Welbeck or Sturridge but want to give it another week before deciding which one.

So do you guys think I will have 11 starters this week if I save a transfer?

    Westwood

    Jones, Enrique, WILKO
Silver, Eagles, B Arfa, VDV, DRENTHE
    RvP, Adebayor,

Right fellows, this is the team for the week - no free transfer and 0.8 mln in the bank:

    Vorm (Ruddy)

Jones Brown Naylor (Raylor, Simpson) - the chances are high that at least 1 of them will get a cleanie. My punt is that O'neil's magic will work on the Sund defence, so that'll be 1st time Black doesn't score an away goal this season. We will see. With a couple of tough away fixtures for Sund, next week I am thinking of bringing in Smalling for Brown. What do you reckon?

VDV Adam Larsson Walters Silva - after getting a bit frustrated, I brought Adam in for Drenthe. Hopefully, the former will deliver good on his birthday. The others are all top performarce, so it looks promising.

Ba RVP(c) (Ade) - Do not like Tot chances of baging that many, if any, goals in their away game vs Stoke. With the high likelihood of VDV playing, I though it will be better playing what will be Tot 2nd-forward-set-piece-taker ahead of their primary striker. Also, Norich have not kept a cleanie so far, so if New does score, most likely that will be Ba or at least through his assist.

Any comments and suggestion will be much appreciated. Thank you for reading it and have a great GW.

I wouldn't drop Adebayor (though obviously given his slight inconsistency, it may pay off). The trouble with having a front 8 with 8 strong players produces this kind of quandary though. Tends to be why I favour paying high for an obvious 'first 11' in my squad, with reliable but low-cost and unspectacular back-ups. Still there are many ways to play the game, and I'm no expert!

really like your team. ba could end up being a great differential and get you a lot from captaining but coudl also be a bigger risk

If you're in doubt, go with your gut feeling you could be right. I am captaining RVP personally with Nani as VC.

Surely get rid of him,no more patience.
Not many good players at that range apart from walters.
May be Sess but again in a struggling team.
I am personally monitering Ben Arfa this week,N'castle have decent fixtures.

Surely get walker out,Spurs have two very attacking wingers in Lenon and Bale so that doesn't allow walker and BAE to provide any assist and surely you cant see Tott keeping many clean sheets.
      Smalling.
Evans wont be a regular I suppose.

Quick questions. May I ask for your opinions please.

    1. Vorm in goal for me. Should I start Naylor or Brown?

    2. I have Ade, VDV, and Bale and no United attackers. Is it worth to do VDV > Nani?

      1. Difficult. I'd be tempted to start Brown to cover myself. Then again, Naylor I suspect is more likely to keep a cleanie, as Blackburn are more free-scoring than Fulham (away).
      2. I have the same, and I think I'm sticking for now.

differentials dont have to captained imo, too risky
them having a low ownership is different enough
