We cast an eye over the members’ data now, assessing some of the top performers over Gameweek 4’s fixtures. Chelsea and Everton’s improving frontmen are assessed, as are West Ham and Man City’s standout weekend performers, whilst we also analyse a couple of new recruits at Goodison and the Bet365 ahead of some fine fixtures.

With great value to be found in the mid price midfield options, can you have a decent team with a forward Kunbraku trio?

      Easily.

It very much reduces your capacity to have a midfield heavy hitter though, unless you play Capoue as long term 4th mid which I don't think is a good idea.
Otherwise you'd maybe be able to have Mane as your best mid with other 5.5-8's
Quite like the idea though, would be a deadly trio up top

Don't think this will work for the whole season... I'm tempted to try it for his good run of fixtures though from GW6 on

yes. -- it depends what you are willing to accept in your midfield. it's easier Benteke as thrid striker than Lukaku.

i'm sure with with Lukaku, you can do something like Hazard, Antonio, Bolasie, Snodgrass, Capoue . . .

it's just a question of whether that is heavy enough for you.

Team, marks out of 10 to use two FT next week for Sterling & Ibra (out) to Aguero & Mane (in) so my front 7 reads:

    GW5
    Sterling (BOU)-Sanchez (hul)-Hazard (LIV)-Antonio (wba)-Capoue (mun)
    Ibra (wat)-Benteke (STO)

    GW6
    Mane (HUL)-Sanchez (CHE)-Hazard (ars)-Antonio (SOU)-Capoue (bur)
    Aguero (swa)-Benteke (sun)

then upgrade third striker (Long) with remaining cash to Rashford for Utd attacking cover when they face Stoke for

    GW7
    Mane (swa)-Sanchez (bur)-Hazard (hul)-Antonio (MID)-Capoue (BOU)
    Aguero (tot)-Rashford (STO)
    (bench: Benteke vs EVE)

Covering all "big team vs small team" points potential in the next 3 weeks, with exception of MUN vs lei in GW6... Rationale is that Utd have (liv) and (che) after (STO), so Rashford affords exposure without the cost crippling my team for the next two fixtures. Alternatively, I use a points hits to free up funds from Hazard (5.2/.3 replacement - Fer?) for Ibra in place of Rashford

Hi. Not BF here, they are pretty much neck and neck. I always liked Mane at Southampton but at Liveepool he looks terrifying, 200 points a season terrifying.

Appreciate the reply, I'm edging to Mane-he really looks terrific there now, I have him in Sky and had no hesitation whatsoever in (c) him last weekend, once I sort Aguero back in, I need to get a pool mid in for sure.

But I wouldn't discount Firmino at all. Many of our players are getting bought in to suit Klopps style, some players are getting used to his way, Firmino is a Klopp player!! Signed from Dortmund and will be prolific.

Not BF, but from what ive watched, mane looks like the one to go for. Seems more explosive, and plays further forward when firm is in the false 9. Plus he seems much more direct to me. Looked class at southampton. Better attack around him just heightens his appeal.

Arsenal have good fixtures. However, between Caz and Ozil, which pick is the best?

Then, you have the sharing in the Liverpool midfield. Lallana, Mane and Firm.

Don't like any City attacking assets because they have too many options. Can't tell who'll play wide each game, and I think Gundogan in will push KDB wide (I think Silva is a better 8), creating more problems.

lukaku has always had huge scores in him, even as early as his west brom days. his consistency is the annoying part. am really not overly feeling putting the armband on him this gw.
wondering if Antonio's heading success against Watford will translate to Ibra, as on paper at least Kaboul is very good in the air and Ibra may not be coming in from wide areas like Antonio does

You won't get an easier captain choice this gw in Ibra, unless you have Kane.

Both are playing terrible defences and both are more than capable of scoring a brace or hat-trick.

I don't have Kane so will be captaining Ibra.

City have the fixture but Goodluck picking which player will star in Aguero's absence.

Lukaku is playing a team that will park the bus and actually know how to do it.

Sanchez is another good option and is my vc, however he's also playing a Hull team that will park the bus, and whilst they're not particularly that good at doing it, they've so far proved this season that they can at least do so well enough to frustrate the opposition.

I think CHE and LIV players cancel each other out in what I think will be a close affair. Not confident in picking anyone in this match.

Benteke a possible dark horse against a terrible Stoke defence, however he's playing for a terrible team himself and I want to see more from him before I consider captaining him.

That leaves Ibra and Kane for me.

Hows this for a wildcard team, works for me if Aguero drops to 12.9

    Heaton, Pickford
    Valencia, Williams, Evans, Holebas, Amat
    Hazard, Mane, Firmino, Antonio, Capoue
    Aguero, Lukaku, Benteke

Good. Like Mane/ Firmino double up as both could be prolific and share points and no Europe distraction

Looks good until Ibra scores a hat trick this gw and you panic about not having the most owned goal scoring machine in the game. 😉

No offence to you personally, but I still don't get the general denial on this site regarding Ibra considering his record is only matched or exceeded by the likes of Ronaldo, Messi and Saurez.

No one would think twice about going without the above players, and they too play for teams that dominate in their league and play for much better teams than Ibra did last season if you buy into that theory. I don't.

Class is class regardless of which team or what league a player plays in.

Im currently comparing between two duos: KDB-Kane and Nolito-Ibra. KDB seems to be getting most of the shots from that City midfield so he's more likely to score, Nolito is more of a David Villa who needs to get in the box to score. Kane and Ibra Im more undecided on, Kane has great fixtures and is starting to pick up form. Ibra scored 5 in 5 so that quiet says it all. Thoughts?

Nolito's game time is a big worry. He was benched for Navas last night before the game was postponed.

So the first, although I think KDB has game time worries as well with Gundogan back.

True. Will greatly depend on whether he'll start their CL game or not.

Whether he starts tonight is irrelevant with regards to long term planning, imo. He's clearly at risk of being rotated, and I wouldn't want that headache.

You're rightly so but Nolito is/would be part of my plans in getting Aguero back, so Im not considering him as a long term option

so far in perceived easy home games there have been 20 goals scored by home team and only once so far has more than two goals been scored by a team.
top teams away from home have scored 31 regardless of opponent.
not sure if these stats mean anything but we have all been burnt before by the obvious captain at home

Ibra - most of his huge ownership will captain him, you dont want to be the one that doesnt if he does well!

Lukaku and Nacho are relatively low ownership, if they do well you can be lucky just to have them.
