Romelu Lukaku is set to return to full training ahead of Everton’s clash with Bournemouth. Olivier Giroud remains doubtful as Arsenal host Chelsea, whilst Daniel Sturridge is a slight concern for Liverpool’s Anfield encounter with Hull.

Here’s the team news so far…

Olivier Giroud faces a late test on his ongoing toe complaint ahead of Arsenal’s clash with Chelsea. Arsene Wenger has also conceded that Aaron Ramsey looks set to remain sidelined until after the international break.

Adam Lallana and Georginio Wijnaldum are available for Liverpool’s home match with Hull after both were left out of the midweek trip to Derby as precautionary measures. Jurgen Klopp revealed Daniel Sturridge “should” be available after missing three days’ training, whilst Joe Gomez has stepped up his recovery from injury but is not yet fit for selection.

Xherdan Shaqiri has stepped up his recovery by returning to training ahead of Stoke’s clash with West Brom. Mark Hughes confirmed the Swiss international will be assessed after being sidelined since Gameweek 1. Jon Walters is a doubt for tomorrow after missing the midweek cup loss to Hull due to an ankle problem.

Middlesbrough pair Christhian Stuani and Jordan Rhodes have both recovered from minor injuries and are available to face Spurs at the Riverside.

Kasper Schmeichel has recovered from concussion but remains a minor doubt for Leicester’s trip to United with a muscle problem. Nampalys Mendy and Matty James are still sidelined and Marcin Wasilewski is suspended after being dismissed in the midweek cup loss to Chelsea.

Winston Reid has been passed fit by the West Ham medics ahead of Sunday’s encounter with Southampton.

Scott Dann has been ruled out of Palace’s clash with Sunderland, with Alan Pardew revealing he could also miss the Gameweek 7 encounter against Everton. James Tomkins is available, though, after recovering from the knee problem that forced him off against Stoke on Sunday.

Ronald Koeman expects Romelu Lukaku to return to full training today ahead of Everton’s clash with Bournemouth. The Belgian has stepped up his recovery from the toe injury that forced him off in the home win over ‘Boro. James McCarthy and Darron Gibson should return in around three weeks.

All this and more has now been updated in the Team News section ahead of tomorrow’s deadline. Keep an eye on our official Twitter Stream for breaking news – as the day unfolds, we will issue updates from Friday’s press conferences and refresh our Team News tab accordingly to keep you informed.

I fancy goals in the MUN v lei game. Ibra and Slimani could both be great picks. Both on pens too (possibly, in the case of Slimani, if Ranieri had his way).

There is just too much value in the midfield for me. Your wildcard midfield looks awful with him and aguero. Capoue has to be 4th mid for starters.

It's him or Sanchez. And with a now starting rashford at 6.8. Literally half his price. I can't pass that up.

I'm on a WC and keeping him.

Lukaku is a worry, but it's an easy transfer to make if he out-performs Ibra - not so easy the other way around without a WC.

I did tinker with my team, removing Zlatan for Lukaku but didn't really see anything I desperately wanted to spend the extra money on.

90% I'd say. Not undroppable, if he has a few howlers Sakho could come in. But then again you could say that for almost any defender.

So for now it's his spot to lose? I hadn't even considered him as an option but looking at their fixtures I can actually see Liverpool keeping some clean sheets in the near future.

Looking ahead, am I mad in contemplating a Hull defensive double up in the form of Jakupovic in goal and Davies in defence?

Pros: from GW8 to GW15 their fixtures look very good in terms of defensive returns. Curtis Davies is a CBI beast so when they do get clean sheets he has a very good chance of bonus. At 9.0 million I think this combo offers good value as well.

Cons: Hull have conceded the most shots in the box out of any team so far this season. Third worst when it comes to big chances conceded.

I think it's risky but could pay off big! Nobody has better fixtures during those GWs and they're both extremely budget friendly.

Maybe save the 0.5 and get Robertson? Also there's a risk Jaku could be dropped for Heaton.

My WC has come down to this:

    A.) Deeney, Sanchez & Williams

    Or

    B.) Ibrahimovic, Snodgrass & Baines

    Pickford / Jakupovic
    Valencia Smith Lovren Amat __?__
    Firmino Antonio Sterling Cap __?__
    Aguero Lukaku __?__

I think B looks better on paper and yet I really want to go A.

    What do you think?

My team is so similar to yours and am in the same situation....

      Pickford/ Jaku
      Valencia Lovren Williams Holebas Amat
      Firminio Antonio Stering Capoue _?_
      Aguero Lukaku _?_

I m stuck on either Option A) Zlatan + Chadli (or any other up to 6.4)
      or Option B) Deeney/Rashford + Sanchez

Will be keeping a look out for comments on this post of yours! 🙂
