Gameweek 7 comes to its conclusion as Burnley welcome Arsenal to Turf Moor.

The Gunners roll up on the back of four straight league wins, with Alexis Sanchez and Theo Walcott both in fine recent form.

The Chilean teed up Walcott’s pair of strikes in the midweek Champions League win over FC Basel and with three double-figure hauls in four, carries the armband hopes of many at Turf Moor.

Walcott has now notched five times in seven across all competitions and has risen to 6% ownership in Fantasy Premier League.

Another big performance today would surely kick start a bandwagon over the international break, yet Arsene Wenger’s side face an obstinate Clarets rearguard that has conceded just five goals in the previous 17 league matches in front of their own supporters.

    Which is a sensible option?

    A) Hazard+Bolasie > Arnautovic+Son
    B) Hazard+Bolasie > Payet +Shaqiri
    C) Hazard+Bolasie > Payet+Snodgrass

He's quality, great price, playing behind Rondon and on form. Fixtures are important but form more important for me.

It seems no one is nailed in West Hams defence at the moment...approach with caution, I'd look elsewhere for a 4.5 defender, Holebas maybe...

If you had Sanchez would you opt for Son or down grade Valencia to free up another .1 and go Walcott for a -4 ?

Do you think that Son could be rotated any time soon? There are so much players in Spurs fighting for 6 places. And too much competitions they are in.

Son, Lamela, Eriksen, Alli, Sissoko, N'Koudou, Kane, Janssen and then Dembele, Wanyama, Dier.

I guess Dembele should be nailed on when he is fit. One of Wanyama and Dier are nailed on to be CDM. So there are 8 players fighting for 4 spots.

Rubbish. Seriously. Lamela was the worst player for Spurs if anyone and he was a 6.

Lamela wasn't great either I suppose.

I'm biased probably though as I've never rated Sissoko. Not a fan.

Sitting 4 points behind leader in cash ML, but the 2 of us out far in front so taking a hit is okay. My reticence is with the international break looming, but price rises would prevent these actions if I delayed.

    A) Baines + Stones > Walker + Smith
    B) Baines + Stones + Antonio > Vertonghen + Smith + Walcott (-4)

I'm trying not to: points forfeit, players could get injured, removing Baines + Antonio with excellent fixtures.

On the other hand Spurs seem the only reliable DEF, Bournemouth have nice fixtures and Walcott could be a juicy differential.

I could even get McAuley out for Holebas instead of Cedric for Valencia. Only thing is Holebas is on 4 yellows... Not sure if I trust Watford defensively either. Have you considered this?

Yep, to be honest I'm still feeling frustrated about not bringing Holebas in this week over Smith, was always my intention but changed my mind last minute. I don't think the 4 yellows should deter you, he will only miss one match through suspension and chances are there will another defender in your squad who you could play when he does. Watford not good for clean sheets thus far but he has great attacking potential.

I didn't end up getting Son before the price drop, decided to give Antonio the benefit of the doubt. I won't be too angry is Son does perform either as that means my Spurs will be playing well. Probably going to fix my defence this week instead.

    The goalkeeper situation:

    1) Will Grant be the keeper until Butland is fit - has he now overtaken Given as the number 2?

Thought I had a half decent team but already 40pts behind mini league leader

    Foster, Pickford
    Valencia, Williams, Evans, Collins, Amat
    Sanchez, Sterling, Antonio, Snodgrass, Capoue
    Aguero, Costa, Lukaku

    2FT, 0.0 in bank

    Where to start with FTs?

Looks good, don't sweat. I would try to work in one of the Liverpool mids, take your pick. Defence could use a little shuffle around but pretty much a crap shoot getting clean sheets so far and I don't love anyones fixtures coming up bar Bournemouth/Arsenal.

Need help deciding a front 8 structure, please:

    Sanchez - Firmino - Lallana - Snodgrass - Capoue
Aguero - Lukaku - Benteke (mostly rotating Snoddy/Tekkers with Capoue bench fodder)

    OR

    Sanchez - Firmino - Lallana - Antonio - Snodgrass
Aguero - Defoe - Benteke (more flexible and well-rounded but benching headaches and money/points on the bench)

    Cheers.

I had a brain fart, first one doesn't require them rotating, the second one does.

Nothing worse than having a poor GW before an international break. The wait is way too long.

Agreed. I've taken a -8 hit to sort my defence and a kneejerk in midfield just so I don't have to look at my team for 2 weeks or worry about price changes.

What did you do in defence? My defence has also been an issue, but unless you spend big on Spurs/Arsenal defenders, there really isn't much value elsewhere.

Torn whether to keep or ditch Antonio...

          Did Shaw/Williams/Lallana to Monreal/Pieters/Walcott.

May well regret it, but I fancy Arsenal's next few fixtures and had exactly the right amount of money ITB to do this reshuffle.

Is Cech a better option? Have Foster ATM who's fixtures turn.

I think better in both regards honestly. Bellerin is nailed and guaranteed a good amount of clean sheets, occasional attacking returns and bonus (although I prefer Koscielny). And Snoddy is a solid player on all set pieces and penalties.

Son is on fire but could be rested with their schedule and Kane's return. And Stoke are in shambles, although look like making a comeback and once Butland is back they will be more stronger, but until then I would hold off.

    Would you rather have:

    A) Costa + Holebas
    B) Walcott + Walker (3-5-2 formation, other strikers are Lukaku and Aguero)

      • 12 Years

No a 3-5-2 advocate, but would still go with B.

Have the same decision myself. Not making it yet though. Lookin at Son solely based on today. He looks like an absolute workhorse. Plus, could also be on peno's now.
