The final fixture of Gameweek 9 sees us pay visit to Stamford Bridge, where Chelsea entertain former manager Jose Mourinho and Man United at 4pm.

The home side have chalked up two straight wins and clean sheets since Antonio Conte switched to a 3-4-3 formation, defeating Hull and Leicester in consecutive Premier League fixtures.

Diego Costa is the Blues’ main threat, having scored or assisted in seven of the Blues’ first eight fixtures.

The Spain international sits just one booking short of a single-match suspension, though it’s worth noting that a caution today would see him sit out the midweek EFL Cup clash with West Ham and free him up to face Southampton in Gameweek 10.

Those who have held onto Zlatan Ibrahimovic will be hoping for signs of a return to form, bearing in mind the Reds then host Burnley next weekend.

The Swede – who is the second most-captained player for Gameweek 9 – has plummeted in price to 11.3 after scoring just one goal in his previous six league outings.

          They've just got cs in "hard" fixture, same as Boro, Bournemouth for example...I think that you need to pick three defenders and stick with them, cs are to unpredictable

            C as cheapest and will match the rest IMO. Plus Mane is the most expensive and dont want to tie too much funds in a double up IMO.

            Lallana or Walcott? Have Sanchez and Firmino

            I am leaning towards Lallana as he will be amongst the points and is great value with great fixtures. Money left over improves the defence. Not comfortable as Walcott could easily be dropped and fixtures after SUN are not too good.

            The last 3 GWs have been so underwhelming. Scores of 47 40 & 44 are just average resulting in 3 little red arrows. Still currently 24k OR on 499 pts and leading MLs but would just really love a feel good week where u nail the captain pick 🙂

              Getting the captaincy right is one of the most difficult things to do in a season like this. If you're at 24K now you have no worries - plenty of time to consolidate.
