Hands up, this ScoutCast is a bit scruffy.

Signed off work and delirious with man flu, we had to coax Granville to keep him from his sick bed. Fortunately, the fact he had a decent Gameweek helped persuade him.

However, he did insist on an early kick-off, with no pre-match warm-up. So Jonty and I were ill-prepared and it also meant that, head frazzled by a Lemsip overdose, Granville forgot to lock his children in the cupboard before we started.

Imagine the horror when they wandered in to hear Granville gloating about Yannick Bolasie.

Of course, you don’t have to imagine – you can join Jonty and myself as we risk contracting Granville’s affliction in order to talk about Fantasy Football for an hour.

Steered by another round of community questions, we also dip into Stoke assets, the captaincy, attacking defenders and, inevitably, with his transfers out stats climbing quicker than Granville’s temperature, we discuss Aguero’s fading star.

If you can bear to brave the chaos of this latest germ-ridden episode, then you can view the Google Hangout version, first published on our YouTube channel, in the second player below.

Be sure to subscribe to our YouTube channel for news on future live episodes.

You can restrict your sensory experience of Granville’s cold to just audio by clicking here or streaming using the first player.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

Adama Traore. I've seen on here that he was underused at Villa. Rubbish. He was always injured or getting reinjured. He looked amazing in debut sub for Villa then did bugger all. Plays like a headless chicken so be warned. Maybe he comes good but I'm not convinced

I've seen a few posts regarding selling Sanchez/Walcott/defender after Sunderland due to poor fixtures.

    H Spurs,
    A United
    H Bou
    A WH
    H Stoke

Hasn't been a 0-0 in the Arsenal v Spurs home or away since Feb 2009
And United isn't really a bad fixture anymore then after that a few easier fixtures on paper.

I'm looking at keeping all!! anyone with me here?

Keeping or selling will depend on other players from other teams and how they are performing at the time, but yeah, selling for these fixtures doesn't make sense.

whats the deal with the stat tables... broken? can we rely on them? or does it show the last x games the person played in?

    http://members.fantasyfootballscout.co.uk/public-stats-tables/view/1026/

Has Dann top of the list for last 4 or 2 games despite not playing the last 4.
at face value Dann shouldnt be in anythig filtered by last 4 gw.

I have no urgent surgery to do. Planned on rolling trade and Baines>Fuchs next week but see no problem with gamble on Rojo. Every chance he could play and 6 touches in PB in 42 mins against Chelsea and praised by Mourinho in League Cup derby. Worst case it fails and I still get Fuchs next week

I have three transfers I want to do next week

    Snoddy > Chadli
    Williams > Alonso

Do I have them in order of preference?

Next weeks fixtures are pretty poor for all, so deciding off if a hit needs to be taken in either this week or next week.

I'm scouting the potential of Alonso. Chelsea's defence has solidified recently, although perhaps it is more sensible to draft him in for a home fixture.

Snodgrass appears to be out for a few weeks. So surely his exit is a no brainer

    2. Zebras
      • 9 Years
      9 years, 1 month ago

Im liking the looks of Alonso, but until I rid myself of Aguero, I can't justify nearly 6.0 on a Chelsea defender.

      1. Austin
      2. Alonso (decent fixtures, potential at both ends)
      3. Chadli (id be concerned about consistent returns)

I'm leaning this way also Raheem.
it's the fact that snoddy has to go - I can handle one more drop, but don't want to lose too much value there.

        Chadli's last 5
        21,1,10,10,2
        4 goals and 2 assists
Everything WBA do goes through him.
not sure there's anyone else im that keen on

Southampton are away to Hull for the next gameweek so I would be tempted to keep Austin for that fixture. I'd definitely bring in Alonso assuming he has now secured his starting slot. I would probably pass on Chadli and seek to bring in some Liverpool midfield coverage. Perhaps Milner is most affordable, although if your budget stretches I would favour Coutinho or Lallana

    Tricky bench decisions this week

    Choice is

    A) Bench Lovren (clean sheet odds 2.50)
    B) Bench Williams (Clean sheet odds 2.75)

    Hey DZers

After a decent finish last year (top 10k), I'm having an absolute 'mare this year (2.8million). I'd be grateful for advice on what to do with this lot:

    Pickford
    Stones, Williams, Koscielny
    Allen, Firmino (c), Walcott, Son
    Lukaku, Ibrahimovic, Aguero

    Jaku; Capoue, Amat, McAuley

    1FT and 0.4 ITB

thanks man. on paper the team looks decent, but can never get ahead. looked at my rank again, and i'm actually at 3million now...

still not sure who to captain. i think i might go Ibra.

Then do the reverse week after if necessary

I've this week sold Stones because his points scoring has been horrendous so far this season. I also actually wonder whether Stones could be dropped this gameweek after his error last weekend. I think drafting in Pieters (Stoke) for Stones has increased points potential in the short term

I've considered Pieters, but not for Stones. I'm going to give Stones a few more weeks with WBA, Boro, Palace and Burnley coming up. If someone were to make way for Pieters, I think it would be Williams at this stage.

Smalling was injured midweek so if still could be Valencia Blind Rojo Shaw. If Smalling back I think Shaw could miss out

Going All Out on Watford..this is fun and how FPL shud be played instead of saving a FT..me thinks!

    Cech
    Holebas - Clyne - Francis
    Capoue - Coutinho - Shaqiri - Sanchez
    Deeney(c) - Aguero - Lukaku

I also thought about trebling up on Watford this weekend. Then randomly or possibly inspirationally reduced my double Watford coverage (Holebas, Capoue) to a single (Holebas). My transfer policy is all about ROI. I don't think about points deducted but the resultant points to be gained. More fun to be bold than cautious

    Planning ahead. Pick one:
    A. Wilson vs Sunderland
    B. Austin vs Hull

(After typing that out, it seems rather obvious, but I could also be convinced otherwise)

I reckon Sunderland, Bournemouth and West Brom could all concede goals this GW. So perhaps play PVA due to his attacking points potential

Who knows, we are ultimately all just guessing anyway. Sunderland are desperate for points and this may help them to upgrade their performance at home this GW. I see goals for both sides and hopefully a Sanchez treble ably assisted by Walcott. Wishful thinking for my team players

I'd bench Stones because his points scoring has been poor this season to date and I actually wonder whether Stones will be dropped this GW in favour of a Kompany Otamendi central defensive partnership

In the Last 4 GWs Crystal Palace and Sunderland have conceded the same amount of goals. Swansea have conceded just 1 more goal than them.

Thinking between Firmino and Shaqiri as my captain pick this GW..

I am thinking of going Firmino/Walcott/Sanchez this week. Lukaku has scores in last 6 against WHM too.

Looked at captain pole and surprised how too down pool players were. Of those 2 Firmino thinking of punting on him myself. Only had him as captain once this year and it was double digits.
