Hands up, this ScoutCast is a bit scruffy.

Signed off work and delirious with man flu, we had to coax Granville to keep him from his sick bed. Fortunately, the fact he had a decent Gameweek helped persuade him.

However, he did insist on an early kick-off, with no pre-match warm-up. So Jonty and I were ill-prepared and it also meant that, head frazzled by a Lemsip overdose, Granville forgot to lock his children in the cupboard before we started.

Imagine the horror when they wandered in to hear Granville gloating about Yannick Bolasie.

Of course, you don’t have to imagine – you can join Jonty and myself as we risk contracting Granville’s affliction in order to talk about Fantasy Football for an hour.

Steered by another round of community questions, we also dip into Stoke assets, the captaincy, attacking defenders and, inevitably, with his transfers out stats climbing quicker than Granville’s temperature, we discuss Aguero’s fading star.

If you can bear to brave the chaos of this latest germ-ridden episode, then you can view the Google Hangout version, first published on our YouTube channel, in the second player below.

Be sure to subscribe to our YouTube channel for news on future live episodes.

You can restrict your sensory experience of Granville’s cold to just audio by clicking here or streaming using the first player.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

Assuming most own both Alexis and Walcott....makes no sense to hang onto Walcott...sell him....let Alexis carry the can....then swap Alexis to Walcott if you have to later on.

So what should I do? 0.4 itb

Got Walcott but my fifth mid is Hojbjerg. My defence is Mustafi Valencia Smith (Evans Amat),

    Shall I:

    A. Play Walcott and then if he doesn't start, Hojbjerg will get autosubbed or

    B. Play 4-3-3 with Evans

    C. Play 4-3-3 with Amat

Also, if I put Evans as first sub and Hojbjerg as second, and Walcott doesn't play, will Evans or Hojbjerg play??

Hasn't Wenger made it clear he'll be okay for Tuesday so I think he definitely doesn't start. Amat is also 50-50 to start. So the only option left is Evans.

    Gomes
    Walker-Valencia-Bellerin-Holebas
    Walcott-Firmino-Capoue
    Kun-Kaku-Costa

    Bench: Clyne-Fletch-Coquelin

I think so. Capoue looks to have reverted to form - ie 2-3 pt 5th mid.

      That's an awesome defence btw.

Long term I'd look to significantly upgrade one of Coquelin or Capoue.

Walcott to Alli- Chadli- Shaqiri - Lallana all very doable. Although Alli will depend on when you bought Walcott.

      1. leonickroberts
        • 9 Years
        9 years, 1 month ago

        All good advice, cheers!

Was worried about having too much tied up in defence but it's worked out so far.

I'm hoping Kun has a stinker and I can justify selling him to free up funds to upgrade Coquelin or Fletch, who are both just making up the numbers. He's probably going to smash in 4 thought isn't he...

    5. Slippy
      • 9 Years

Your defence is way too expensive. Most people would go for 2 expensive defenders maximum (my only defender above 5m is walker). I'd downgrade one of them to someone like smith.

      1. leonickroberts

        Worth taking the 8pt hit for Clyne>Smith + Theo>Coutinho?

Not convinced Liverpool will be able to put many past Palace, and was going to bench Clyne anyway - no chance he's keeping a clean sheet at Selhurst Park.

too much cash in defence and not enough in midfield.
should lose at least two of the pricey defenders over next couple of weeks and upgrade midfielders. Capoue's a debatable 4th mid and definitely not a 3rd mid.

    Good day,

In regards to sanchez's output being less with the presence of elneny/coquelin in the midfield. Any concrete evidence of this?

Also, chances for giroud to start with the recent news of walcott? Which would consequently moving Sanchez back to the wings.

"Should be okay for Tuesday" reads to me that he won't make tomorrow's early game.

Do you think Hojbjerg will start?

Got Walcott and not sure how to order my subs, currently on Evans Hojbjerg Amat.

    Suggestions?

Depends, if they also got Sanchez for 10.9 and plan to hang on then not really.

Looking for a midfielder in the 5.0-5.6 range...

Stanislas looks like a good shout but worried about whether he'll be back this weekend or whether King will keep his place. Any good knowledge on this?

    Theo Walcott

True to form he blanks last week against Bori and is out injured this week. Wouldn't be a real Wally Wagon without these blips

I swapped him m for Lallana, good fixtures in a very attacking side, just a bit of a midfield points lottery.

Should I play Heaton or Foster?

No Man U attack v Heaton, got a Aguero v Foster.
