There’s plenty at stake in opening fixture of Gameweek 10, with Alexis Sanchez heading into the clash with Sunderland sitting at the summit of our Captain Poll, seemingly backed by thousands to end a run of three outings without a goal.

Sanchez and Arsenal will have to perform without the presence of Theo Walcott and Santi Cazorla, who both miss out through injury – a bitter blow for almost 500,000 managers who jumped on Walcott’s potential over the previous two Gameweeks.

Sunderland sit at the bottom of the table and will inevitably look to Jermain Defoe for goals; he’s blanked in his last three Gameweeks as he bids to breach an Arsenal back four that’s conceded in just one of their last eight matches in all competitions.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

Is the stadium of light extremely small or does Pickford kick the ball a bloody mile?

Alexis almost gave me a heart attack the way he was clutching that hammy.

Just a minor knock, he sprinted a few second later.

Put the armband on Holebas instead of Sanchez, not even mad at that goal.

25th minute behind the couch: The morale of the men has taken a significant hit after the goal and one appears to be holding back tears. Have some mercy Alexis!

Sanchez's effective ownership is still below 100% right? So even non-captainers should be okay with this...

    Any Arsenal supporters (Ozil),

If Ox runs riot today, does this raise question marks over Wally's security?

Could it be a case of such similar players being rotated often to protect both from burn out/niggling injuries seeing as both have struggled with those in the past?

Not trying to fear monger here, genuine question as I was contemplating bringing Wally back in.

Wally will walk back in if fit. .

Even if Ox bags a brace and assist here?

The game just started so my question was a hypothetical based on an Ox masterclass to continue his fine form from mid week.

People with Aguero(C), Lukaku(C) and Deeney(C) and so on - chill ffs. This is the FIRST game of GW10. Your captain hasn't even entered the pitch yet!

The most common captain already has one and still has 60 minutes to play vs the second worst team in the league. This is a good reason to panic!

Exactly. I'm a Sanchez captainer and 1 goal isn't enough (though I'm happy for it)
