Two Swansea City old boys combine to see off the Welshman in the Potteries, as thousands of Fantasy managers profit from the continued form of a certain “number ten”. Here’s the Stock Check from the final Gameweek 10 fixture…

On the Rise

Joe Allen
Two assists sealed a third double-figure haul in the space of five Gameweeks as Allen’s flourishing form continued.

Buzzing around the hold-up play of Wilfried Bony, the 5.1 Fantasy Premier League option twice teamed up with the Ivorian to see off Swansea City.

Over 130,000 FPL managers brought Allen in ahead of Gameweek 10 to earn instant rewards. Given his current form and output, they will feel that he fully justifies a fourth midfielder role in our squads. Certainly, as a fifth midfielder in a 3-5-2, Allen looks destined to deliver.

However, it should be noted that Stoke City have played the current bottom three clubs in their last three outings. The trip to West Ham United could prove trickier for the Potters and Allen – particularly with Marko Arnautovic and potentially Xherdan Shaqiri both absent.

Wilfried Bony
Finally, after seven Premier League starts, Bony has sparked to life having ended his goal drought against his former club.

Priced at 7.3, it was hoped that the Ivorian could provide a mid-price option on his arrival at the bet365 stadium. That could now be the case, although the output currently being provided by Allen will undoubtedly dampen enthusiasm for Bony as an attacking option.

In Decline

Xherdan Shaqiri
Over 94,000 acquired the Swiss international off the back of his 15-point return at Hull City, only to see the playmaker limp from the field on 26 minutes. There’s no news as yet on the nature of the injury or a prognosis.

Marko Arnautovic
Perched on the suspension tightrope before Monday night’s encounter, the Austrian was unable to navigate the 90 minutes and, having received his fifth booking, will now miss the Gameweek 11 trip to West Ham.

With just a goal and an assist this season, Arnautovic has been a bitter disappoint after his 11-goal campaign last time out.

Stephen Kingsley
Brought back in at left-back for the Swansea City clean sheet against Watford last weekend, Kingsley was tonight inexplicably relegated to the reserves with Neil Taylor earning a recall.

With Jordi Amat ousted to the bench in Gameweek 9, it appears that we no longer have a 4.1 option available in the Swansea rearguard – perhaps that’s no major loss on the evidence of Monday night.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

Hello guys, dont know where to use my free transfer here...any thoughts?

    Jaku Pickford
    Kosc Smith Holebas Amat Pieters
    Allen Ozil Sanchez KDB Marney
    Luk Kun Callum

    Was thinking
    a- Ozil to Coutinho
    b- jaku to grant
    c- Ozil to Haz
    d- save

      Nice team.
I'd probably go for a. No Liverpool attackers is problematic, I think. Take your pick of Firmino & Coutinho.
But the Hazard transfer would make sense, too.

Not to question the herd... but I think the Deeney to Austin transfer is a bit sideways. I'll probably want Austin come gw14, but for the next 3, it's probably equal:
    Deeney (liv LEI STO)
    Austin (hul LIV EVE)
Certainly not worth the -4 that I would need at this point.

I'll probably do it for free during the week.
Outside the Bournemouth game, Deeney has been terrible.
Austin is in much better form.

True, I fixate on fixtures. But form is fleeting at times, especially when we're planning for 3-4 weeks down the road.

You also have to remember that Deeney to Austin also releases 0.5mil for some which can come in handy elsewhere. Especially if you have dead weight in your team at a tricky price point like Snodgrass.

I got Deeney in for his 'favorable' fixtures and he's done sod all. I think Austin will outscore him long term too, so happy to see the back of him. No regrets.

    what is it with people

shaqiri has been already transferred by 9000 even after last nights match

walcott is taken out even though he can match the output of the big guns

    herding !!!!!

      9 years, 1 month ago

Walcott, I understand. Arsenal's next two are not great attacking fixtures.
Shaqiri - well, he was injured. I usually wait until we know the severity of an injury, but with prices moving quickly, the quick transfer isn't crazy.

I understand but he is in form right now and ppl were scared of getting hazard due to chelsea's fixtures but look how hazard and defence have performed exceptionally even in difficult fixtures so its not out of question they can do it too

At 4.8 with one 8 and 9 scores under 4, seems a bit excessive for a 5th mid fodder spot.

            Well...

            +Nailed on;
            +Not a classic DM in Conte's 3-4-3 which is much more fluid than 4-2-3-1, he and Matic both venture forwards (just not both at the same time) as was seen recently;
            +Great chance of clean sheets, 3 points off the bench is better than 2;
            +Very useful over Xmas.

If you can afford 4.8m for a 5th mid he's probably as good a choice as you could make.

You make great points. Really depends how often you'd get him off the bench. The extra 0.4 (if you got a 4.4 mid) saved could be the difference between Morgan and Fuchs for example.

With Giroud back, will Sanchez's goals dry out? Or expect him to maintain goal scoring form?

Giroud might not even be in the starting lineup. Impact sub for now looks like

Depends on if Sanchez continues scoring. Also on how the team is performing. Why change a winning team?

First decent week for me in a while. Stick with:

    Heaton/Foster
    McCauley/Pieters/Kosc/Holebas/Francis
    Sanchez/Walcott/Lallana/Allen/Fletcher
    Aguero/Lukaku/Costa

or Costa>Austin and Walcott> Hazard freeing up 1.6 for defensive improvements?

Stick with it imo for time being. Wait for wally news before you do anything

Thoughts on Valencia + Shaqiri + Deeney to Morgan / Allen / Costa for -8?

Looks an improvement but hard to do for -8 unless your bench is pretty weak.

Costa on 4 yellows so -8 will give you a missed match pretty quickly.
