Our first of this week’s members articles casts an eye over the increasing number of options in the mid-price midfield bracket.

After Joe Allen and Ilkay Gundogan were subject to major bandwagons in Gameweek 11, Hull’s Robert Snodgrass emerged from the bench to grab a goal and assist at home to Southampton, serving a reminder of his points potential ahead of some fine upcoming fixtures.

With the fitness of West Brom’s Nacer Chadli being keenly monitored prior to the weekend, we take a look at some of the key midfield protagonists priced at 6.5 and under in Fantasy Premier League.

Paul Is certain he won't make the same mistakes next season. Follow them on Twitter

Anyone selling Hazard for Alexis? They fixtures for Arsenal look great and can buy back Hazard in a couple of weeks

I have no idea why you'd do that this week, unless haz is confirmed out.

I also don't really trust Alexis at home, personally. I can see Giroud starting the bournemouth game.

The good thing is you can't have them all this season

Nah, sanchez has been great this season but giroud dents his appeal. He'll obviously still score but I've owned him long enough over last few seasons to know that you have to endure a fair few blanks too.

Did the opposite this week. Next week I'm going to bring in Ozil I think.

Spent the whole of last week saying how I'm keeping Sanchez and not going to knee jerk to Hazard due to his fixtures, etc..

As soon as i see the injury news on Sanchez i sell thinking that the injury is almost a blessing in disguise.

Now Hazard looks injured and Sanchez just scored a brace..

So typical! I'll never learn it seems..

Ha ha, yeah I get that. Just annoying to make such a knee jerk decision on Sanchez being injured.

He has better fixtures over the next 3, I was planning on keeping him until GW 15 when i would bring in Hazard.

I guess it's just a wait and see now though.

Can anybody explain the recent hype of de Roon on these boards please? He has scored 1 all season and that was last game.

Simple, he sits behind striker and is 4.3, he's an enabler and for the most part bench fodder

Yeah it's down to price, he's a playing 4.3m attacking midfielder, will be bench fodder for most teams

He is 4.3m and will play every week. There is no hype, he's just a nice cheap 5th mid, who you may get ridiculously lucky at some point with if he's subbed in and has scored a rare goal that week.

Hmmmmm if I bring him in for Allen and I change de Gea for Butland, I can bring in Hazard and Alonso for Walcott and Williams..........

Problem then is I have to play 352 with de Roon every week OR 442 as I have Diomande on the bench (soon to be Anichebe)

              Williams McAuley Holebas Walker Kone
              Sanchez Coutinho Firmino Walcott Allen
              Aguero Diomande Austin

If I did the above it would be:
                Butland Pickford
                Alonso McAuley Holebas Walker Kone
Sanchez Coutinho Firmino Hazard de Roon
                Aguero Diomande Austin

                Which actually looks very good........

                  Yeah I agree.

Definitely seems like a sensible change.

De Gea is a waste of money
Williams too expensive for what you get.

                  Hazard is becoming essential too.

You can always transfer one of them out for a better striker too.

Don't play de roon every week even he couldn't believe he scored if he's on the bench it's ok but not in a 3-5-2 rotation coming for Christmas de roon and diomonde is too much crap

I agree. Hence why I am partly reluctant to make the move. That said, I would have 4 decent defenders so could do 442 over Xmas. What would you do?

I'm bringing him in for Capoue next week and hoping Costa gets his ban that GW so I can play a 3-5-2 with DR against Hull...Monday night fixture, could be a week where he produces....

Interesting. I may follow suit. If I bring him as I said above, I would have a very good starting lineup but I'd be forced into 442 or a 352 but with de Roon every week.

I said it as a bad thing. It would force me into a 442 (not ideal) or a 352 with de Roon (equally not as ideal). I'd say 442 is the least worse of the 2 but I'd have fewer attackers.

    Good morning all. 🙂

Anything worth a hit this gw?

    Pickford - Jakupovic
    Vertonghen - Matip - Holebas - Mee - Amat
    Sanchez - Hazard - Coutinho - Firmino - Carrick
    Aguero - Defoe - Austin

0 FT and 0.8m in the bank.

Matip âž¡ Alonso for a hit? Planning to get a Chelsea def in gw 15 and save the hit for now.

I want Hazard and Alonso in for Walcott and Williams. I can only afford this by changing de Gea to Butland and Allen to de Roon. I have a buffer of 0.2m as prices stand now. I have 1.9m ITB.

Should I take a 4 point hit to bring in Butland and Hazard now (de Gea is about to drop in price) or do it 1 transfer at a time? I can only bring Hazard in for Walcott after I downgrade de Gea or Allen.

I am between Walker and Kone. As he is my premium defender, I am not sure I can justfiy benching him for a Sunderland defender. I could also play 4 at the back (Holebas suspended) and bench Allen...........

My initial response is that it would be madness suggesting Kone over Allen but given the injury concerns at Stoke and that Allen is likely to play deeper this weekend, it's a real option to consider.

not sure, I think Hull are turning a corner and if there is any game for Sunderland (and Hull for that matter) to go out and try to win, it's this one. expect goals from both sides with Sunderland pushing the action at home

thoughts on moses? he has been playing right wingback for Chelsea's win streak...probably not worth a chelsea slot in fpl (chelsea defender, hazard, costa seem ideal atm) but in daily games (like draftkings) he has been a good play some weeks
