Turn down the lights and join hands. If we’re actually going to sell a fit Sergio Aguero, we’re doing this together. If we go down, we go down together.

With 31 goals in his last 33 Premier League starts, the fear attached to shedding the Manchester City is so great, we all need support before we can commit to packing his bags.

And so, a pact is drawn up in this week’s ScoutCast, as Granville, Jonty, Andy and myself swear to approach the current dilemma unified and as one.

Let’s see if we can actually go through with it.

Aguero and the Harry Kane alternative dominate much of this week’s discussion.

However, we still find time to sample your Gameweeks in “Rough with the Smooth” and tackle some of your other topics raised, including Gylfi Sigurdsson’s rising star, looming rotation risks, while also offering our views on how struggling managers can find motivation for the rest of the season.

The four of us can certainly offer a wealth of experience on that particular subject.

This episode of the ScoutCast was first beamed live via our YouTube channel on Tuesday night. Be sure to subscribe to get notice of future live episodes.

If one bought Lukaku at 9.0, currently at 9.4 sell value, will one lose a .1 if he drops?

And if Alexis is at 11.1 sell, if he drops tonight will one lose value?

Sanchez will not drop an im pretty sure your sell value will go down to 9.3

Should I play Foster for clean sheet potential (Hull away), or Pickford for save points potential (Liverpool away)?

Thing is, if WBA concede, there's no way Foster gets more than 2 points, whereas it's very likely Pickford will make 3, 6 or even more saves.

97.1% don't think Hazard's the best captain. His home average is 9.66, Spurs will be without Toby & Rose, and let's be brutally honest, they aren't that good atm.

Liverpool will be without Lallana, which arguably reduces the goals and makes Coutinho, Firmino & Mane a horrible lottery if it's not a hammering.

Kun is a bit ropy atm and their goals are being spread around, tricky place too.

Oh, and Michael Oliver? 6 pen's this season.

The case for Hazard maybe stronger than 2.9%...

Hmmm, Spurs have had Europe as well... you raise some excellent points!

I've had the (C) on Mane all week, but have Coutinho & Firmino as well... Maybe hedging my bets on a Hazard (C) and not playing the Liverpool armband lottery is a better idea after all!

      1. Netley Lucas
        • 10 Years
        9 years, 14 days ago

I'm likely to bring in Firmino to join Coutinho but as for captaining one of them? I think Costa & Hazard may present as good if not better value this week and have it on Haz atm for the above reasons.

I still have Kun and hope he does well. The thing that's bugging me about Burnley is how they raise there defensive game v the better sides? It's as if they try so much harder to spoil and it wouldn't shock me if they kept citeh down to 1 or even less.

He's involved in just about everything Liverpool do going forward and they look very potent every game at the moment.

More hauls are a case of when not if, you certainly wouldn't bet against him bringing in a hatful of points over the next 5/6 games that's for sure.

my plan of defeating the high number of Coutinho owners is to own both Firmino and Mane (I believe both will beat Couts for points+value trough this soft fixture run that Pool has).

I also plan to hold Firmino as long as possible and Mane till the AFCON

          🙂 Firmino C for me

And another thing - all 3 are connected - either all 3 bring points to the table or all 3 fail miserably. For Couts owners from the start (or when he was 8-8.4M) GG - you've captured him at a great price and managed to save a lil bit of cash on him. Now he is 8.8M and I consider him to be bad value from this point going forward compared to both Mane and Firmino.

I might be completely wrong of course - time will only tell.

Made me feel a lot better about not having Cout, thanks for that. Just feel that Mane has a hatrick in him and I'm banking on it being this week. Will also move Mane when AFCON rolls around

I also managed to get Mane when he was 8.9 and Firm at 8.4 so that kinda counters missing Cout in a way.

    Good to go?

    Pickford
    Alonso, Holeb, Stones
    Firmino, Hazard, Walcott, Snoddy
    Kane, Aguero, Costa

    Sub Grant, Amat, Fletcher, Kingsley
    (Bench is a bit rubbish!)

I'd be starting Grant (and I will be!) as I think Stoke have a decent chance of a CS.

Pickford will probably get a save point or two, but he could also be picking 8 or 9 balls out of his net if it all goes pear shaped... your call.
