Turn down the lights and join hands. If we’re actually going to sell a fit Sergio Aguero, we’re doing this together. If we go down, we go down together.

With 31 goals in his last 33 Premier League starts, the fear attached to shedding the Manchester City is so great, we all need support before we can commit to packing his bags.

And so, a pact is drawn up in this week’s ScoutCast, as Granville, Jonty, Andy and myself swear to approach the current dilemma unified and as one.

Let’s see if we can actually go through with it.

Aguero and the Harry Kane alternative dominate much of this week’s discussion.

However, we still find time to sample your Gameweeks in “Rough with the Smooth” and tackle some of your other topics raised, including Gylfi Sigurdsson’s rising star, looming rotation risks, while also offering our views on how struggling managers can find motivation for the rest of the season.

The four of us can certainly offer a wealth of experience on that particular subject.

This episode of the ScoutCast was first beamed live via our YouTube channel on Tuesday night. Be sure to subscribe to get notice of future live episodes.

    Heaton
    Mustafi Holebas Brunt Evans
    Hazard Firmino Coutinho
    Aguero Costa C.Wilson

    Pickford Bolasie Vertonghen De Roon

    A) Should I leave as is? 433

    C) 442 with Bolasie instead of Wilson

    What to do ? 2FT & 2.0 to spend.

    Pickford
    Koscielny / Lovren / Walker
    Coutinho / Hazard / Firmino / Gundogen
    Aguero / Austin / Lukaku

    Bench: Jaku, Amat, Barry, Kelly

Should I do Gundogen > Siggy ? Or something else?

Tottenham Hotspur have not won at Stamford Bridge for over 25 years.

Tottenham's current run of 26 consecutive league matches at their neighbours without a victory is the longest non-winning away run of consecutive games by one team at another side in the Premier League.

Chelsea are top of the league under Antonio Conte this season, having not conceded a goal in six games.

Remember Hazard goal that cost Spurs in the title credentials in last season's derby.

    So, Haxard(c)???

And what about Coutinho, Mane & Firmino?

      1. El-Kloppico
        • 10 Years
        9 years, 13 days ago

I am on Firmino myself, but as a LIV fan, I know LIV have problems playing defensive teams and I can see Moyes parking the bus this GW. LIV will win hopefully, but not as large a score as one would think imo.

Saying that if they score early it could be a massacre. Hull should've got at least two last week.

Yes, but they didn't park the bus against Hull..

True. What I mean is if they're forced to come out by an early goal, unless you think Moyes would just want to keep the score down.

Can't help but think the scoutcast has called this Aguero thing wrong. It's like some sort of reverse knee jerk.

Speaking as somebody who sold him a few weeks ago and is toying with the idea of bringing him back in for this week and (c).... Aguero hasn't become a bad player, or a bad pick, he's simply become "not essential" week in and week out imo. You'd all be nuts to sell him for the Burnley match. The time to realise he's not essential isn't this week...

    5. bojack
      • 9 Years

Only thing putting me off him in the medium term is rotation. From memory it's Watford and Hull either side of Arsenal(?) and then Pool. That's in the space of not very long, looks primed to be rested so he's ready for the two big games. At 13.0 I can free up funds to get Siggy and an Arsenal attacker.

Right now though I am happy to have him for Burnley.

      1. Dr Dream
        • 13 Years
        9 years, 13 days ago

I have a slight advantage because I take a hit a week on avg so i'm not phased at bringing him in and then ditching him again. He's not essential, but he's not far off against Burnley.

My other "Ace" is that I've been telling both my rivals they don't need him for the past few weeks, if I can work out if they've sold him then that'll clinch it for me...i'll get him back in.!!!

You've got to look past the obvious numbers to see why they are not conceding when teams that do well on your metrics are conceding.

Try sorting by big chances conceded 😉 burnley level with spurs for home bug chances conceded

Agree but Pep has to lose this 'Pulis' mentality first.

I'm leaning towards Hazard captain so hard. Alder and Rose are out and I really feel like a smashing is on the cards in this derby. Yet he's only 2% in the captain poll.

Wouldn't have s problem with it personally.
1 goal/1 CS and he will get bonus, I'd gladly take that right now.

      Will Spurs defence be
      Walker Wimmer Vert Davies
That's still pretty good isn't it?

Davies is ruled out as well. And that's really not good in the first place.

I'm a positive Spurs fan (if there is such a thing). I also think we're going to roll over. Hazard captain is a great choice and a big differential. It's going to be Dier and Wimmer CB. Can't see them keeping Hazard out.

    Definitely not captaining aguero

The doubt of being benched lingering plus coutinho up against Sunderland
If aguero blanks he is gone for kane

No one fancy Mata? We're all sceptical because of his patchier role in recent seasons but he looks pretty central to United's play at the minute.

To those thinking about not captaining Aguero, beware. Only Hull have conceded more chances at home than Burnley...

Even if Aguero is benched, twenty minutes against that Burnley defence could be carnage

But Burnley have already managed to keep out Liverpool and Arsenal at home, two of the best attacking sides in the league

Everyone saving bench boost for the double gameweeks?

Got lovely bench this week - Pickford, Evans, Fletcher, Amat but feels wasteful using it now.

You would have much better bench later on I believe. Also rotation issues might force some of your subs to start
