This evening we reveal the managers who have made it through to the third round of the 13th instalment of our open to all Fantasy Premier League cup competition.

For this latest contest there are more than £1,000 worth of prizes for UK based entrants courtesy of our partner FanDuel, as well as £350 in Amazon vouchers to the top three managers at the end of the competition.

Last year’s winner I Casillas Winning’s score of 55 saw him overcome Tufs to set up a round three clash with Allezlechef. Just 10,000 places separates this pair in the overall rankings.

Gribude is another former cup holder to make it through. He beat Allgonepozzo in round two and faces Cok3y5murf next.

Ex-champ MCH also progresses, after seeing off Shem Bayley. He takes on community regular Rhinos in round three.

Sadly, the second round marked the end of the road for another former winner, Ninja Fit Saints, who was beaten 70-49 by Jurgen.

The highest scoring manager of the round and recipient of a £30 FanDuel credit was DaJoeyNdo Show, whose sensational score of 95 left Stoorey’s tally of 40 for dust and saw him leap from 346,603rd in the overall rankings to 57,443rd.

Teguh D Puncak, who he faces next, is unlikely to be worried though as he sits more than 50,000 places higher within the top 5,000.

The four next high scoring managers, who all receive a £10 FanDuel credit, were Captainjpd, Delt_eple, DJDave1979 and Dogba.

Andy85wsm, the competition’s only Scoutcast representative to make it past the first round, marches on. He beat Lardy to set up a third round tie with Anuliz.

Two other members of our moderator and contributor team also make it through. Greenwindmill will face Archie, while Stilicho squares up to lowlifegimpe in round three.

Other notable match ups in the next round include Lateriser12’s encounter with The TinMan, Parm’s tie with TommyJ and What the Fans Say community article writer Bolivian Seaman’s clash with Al Fresco.

The manager to draw the short straw in round three is 433,854 ranked Malvern Angells. He faces Dempele, who at 177th is the highest placed manager remaining in the tournament.

The second round results can be found via this link, while the full third round draw can be found here.

Good luck to those still involved and if you would like more information on the schedule and prizes click this link.

Bottomed....Not having a good season at all... need some serious advise pls!

    Pickford/Jakupovic
    Lovren/Mcauley/Vertonghen/Holebas/Amat
    Hazard/Sanchez/Mata/Firmino/Capoue
    Lukaku/Aguero/Anichebe

I have 1FT and only 0.3in bank- was thinking of doing:
    Lukaku to KANE
However to do this need to take -4 so 2nd change:
    Mata to A) Fer B) Philips C) Caan D) Zaha E) Gaston

Reason why i can only spend up to 5.4M on Mata replacement is cups i need to upgrade Jaku to Heaton next week.....

    Please help!

        Depends who you would upgrade

After Chelsea this doesn't look too bad for Aguero if he doesn't get rotated in the 4 matches - Leicester (a), Watford (h), Hull (a)

    – – – – – – – – Heaton – – – – – – – –
    – – – Alonso – Lovren – Holebas – – –
    – Hazard – Siggy – Firmino – Wally –
    – – – – Kun © – Costa – Austin – – – –

    Pickford – Smith – Fletcher – Amat
    0 FT, 1.4 ITB

Is captaining Kun madness? He should be fixture proof, right?

great team, but i don't like Kun(c). Chelsea have conceded 1 goal in seven games. I think Austin is a better choice this week.

Might be a tight game. But don't trust Austin enough to captain him. Maybe Firmino?

I know thus could be madness but have a feeling Van Dijk is going to score this week. How bad is it to take a hit on him? Have no FT and I would love to have him long term. I think a already have a nice defense but I´m planning to cash out on Kosc in the upcoming fixtures to get a good 4th midfielder. I also know I miss Sanchez but I´m gonna bring him in after the away fixtures with Everton and City.

    Your thoughts please.

    No FT. 3.4 ITB

    Foster - Jaku
    Kosc - Alonso - Holebas - Amat - Love
    Haz - Siggy - Firm - Allen - Hojberg
    Kun - Kane - Austin

For the people who are not in top 1k? What I am trying to say is that play the fixtures from GW 14 to GW 18 instead of thinking long term and the use their first WC.

GW 15 currently looks like this:

Foster (vs che, will have Costa & likely have Hazard)
Kone (vs swa, will have Siggy) - Amat (vs SUN, might be dropped and anyway have Defoe) - Vertonghan (vs mun)

reserves - McAuley & Evans (so more Chelsea/Costa/Hazard pain)

    Just the worst......

If Antonio is out does that mean Arbeloa plays instead?

Sean Dyche didn't sound very hopeful

Do we really think United midfiled is an option now?
Mourinho chops and changes so much. And we are anyways heading into the busy period when twice all teams will play 3 matches in 7-8 days.

He could easily line up like this Lingard - Mata - Rashford
And the other match like this Martial - Rooney - Mkhi

This only makes Pogba, Ibra & Valencia worth considering if we want a nailed player for all matches. Atleast till the time United don't stick to a preferred 3 behind the striker.

    Appreciate your thoughts!

Yeah, only pogba is nailed in that midfield. Ibra or nothing IMO if you're going for Utd assets

Need to burn at least one transfer. What to do with this team?

    Foster Heaton
    Koscielny Pieters Evans Friend Koné
    Hazard Sanchez Firmino Capoue Allen
    Aguero Lukaku Austin

2FT, 0.3 in the bank. I really want Kane, but Hazard, Sanchez and Aguero are staying, and I want to give Firmino the chance to prove himself without Coutinho on the pitch. And I'm sceptical about downgrading Koscielny, so I think I'll go without Kane for a while.

Any ideas? Maybe just use one transfer to get rid of Koné (down to 4.4 now), it's not like Sunderland + CS = true.

    Any help appreciated!

So that move or one of Heaton/Foster > 4.1
      Money towards the Kane fund

Just been watching the highlights from last night...how good were our goals? The ball from Ibra to play in Valencia to set up Martial was brilliant.

They could've scored 6 or 7 tbf. Looks like they're getting back on track.

Knowing Mourinho recently he'll now rotate this weekend and you'll look like an average team again.

    Jakupick
    Morgan, Clyne, Holebas, Evans, Amat
    Sanchez, Firmino, Cou*, Siggy, Fletcher
    Costa, Aguero, Austin

    Choose better way to go:

    A) Cou -> Wally this GW; Morgan -> Alonso next GW
    B) Cou -> Eriksen this GW; 1mil to spend next GW
    C) Cou, Siggy -> Hazard, Zaha this GW for -4; Clyne -> Alonso next GW

    Current team..

    Foster Jakupovic

Gibson Van Dijk Alonso Amat Morgan

    Firmino Redmond Capoue Coutinho Sterling

    Kane Iheanacho Costa

    Have 2 FT

Iheanacho, Coutinho and Sterling > Aguero, Moses and Can worth a -4?

Or just do Coutinho to Moses and save the other transfer until next week?

Those transfers were under consideration but it meant no Kun...it does give me Arsenal coverage though...
