β€œAll this taking hits, it gets a bit moreish.”

One of my favourite all-time quotes from the ScoutCast arrives in this week’s episode, as Jonty does his best to explain another abject Gamework return.

Struggling with misfortune and misfiring moves, our former resident β€œdullard” is now resigned to chasing memories from his season – those maverick move successes he can store and take with him for future campaigns.

There’s nothing maverick about my season right now, as I furiously back-peddle on my exit plans and watch Andy and Jonty jump and fall into the no-Aguero abyss without me. Granville tries to talk me over the edge, but I’m not budging.

Elsewhere in this week’s episode, we tackle the Philippe Coutinho injury fall-out head-on, chase our tails on β€œessential” assets and attempt to settle the Walcott vs Sanchez and Hazard vs Pedro arguments.

This episode of the ScoutCast was first beamed live via our YouTube channel on Tuesday night. Be sure to subscribe to get notice of future live episodes.

    Had this...

    Hazard, Firmino, Allen, Capoue, COUTINHO
    Aguero, Costa, AUSTIN

I swapped out the last two for Zaha & Kane.

I had enough money in the bank to keep Charlie and swap Coutinho for ANYONE.

Now I look at my 3rd/4th/5th midfielders and I quiver.

    If Kane disappoints I'm f*****d.

    Console me.

I'm worried about Kane this weekend. Spurs have only won one of their last ten games and they've scores either 0 or 1 in nine of them.

I suppose I should have thought about that earlier!

Boring as it sounds, I want Mcauley. Six of the top seven defenders are 6m+ but he slots in there nicely at a healthy discount (nearly 2m cheaper thak Kos). The way WBA play also means there's every chance he could keep up his near 50% strike rate.

Only a .2m difference though, virtually nothing. United's fixtures from GW16 are scrum-diddly-umptious.

Ah, you're right. I was going off my SV for Ibra.

To be honest I think Kane for next 4 then switch to Zlatan is a good enough plan.

I have both but I can see why people would do the above to play the fixtures.

Ibra has Everton (a) then Spurs (h). I can see a couple of goals but it's not worth worrying about for non-owners.

Fully agree with GW16 onwards. Was referring to the short term fixtures.

Much prefer the prospect of Ibra.

After Spurs Utd have some nice fixtures, but i think people don't trust Utd, especially Zlatan after than little blip.

Also Kane has proven it for 2 seasons in a row now.

This is true. Zlatan has struggled to score goals in previous seasons

          Premiership!
Soldado was a goal scoring scoring machine in other leagues

Ibra has never left my team, took the price drops like a man. Ibra is world class and class eventually shows.

Front 3 of Ibra, Kane & Austin for me.

Had to begrudgingly drop Kun to get Kane in but I'm chasing in ML. Needs must.

    Cech
    Vert Lovren Pieters
    Haz Mane Redmond Siggy
    Ibra Deeney Kane (c)

    Pickford Allen Williams Amat

Anything worth a hit or good to go? I know Deeney should change but already swapped Cout to Mane this week. 1m itb

Deeney out for -4 i wouldn't do normally
But be weary that Palace are leaking goals, and Austin looks to be playing so good. It could even be worth the -4 if you have other changes needing for next gw

Deeney to austin maybe, palace havent kept a clean all season and austin is in form and has a good run of fixtures. if it were me id take a -4 to get him, just because you can leave him there for a month. also his price is going up all the time.

also dont think people should be too worried about a -4 or even a -8 to get who you want, if you dont pick the right captain it can be effectively -12 some weeks. How many times have you captained a blank this year already?
