Two of the lowest scoring teams clash at the Riverside Stadium to create a predictable outcome, as a single set-piece delivery and far post header decide matters. Here’s the Stock Check from Gameweek 14’s final encounter.

On the Rise

Gaston Ramirez
Always the most likely member of Middlesbrough’s midfield to emerge as a potential Fantasy asset, the Uruguayan was their star performer on the night and proved a worthy matchwinner.

Ramirez has now provided two goals and an assist in his last four starts, although ‘Boro’s continued lack of cutting edge remains a major obstacle.

Aitor Karanka’s men have scored just 13 goals in their 14 Premier League matches and will likely continue to rely on defensive stability to earn them points.

While that’s the case, Ramirez seems destined to provide a short-term differential and little more. To compound matters, he appeared to suffer a knock to his foot which saw him withdrawn in the dying stages.

The Middlesbrough Defence
Far more likely to provide with an asset for the remainder of the season, Karanka’s back five earned a fourth clean sheet of the season this evening, albeit against a largely unambitious and impotent Hull City attack.

With George Friend sidelined, skipper Ben Gibson has proved the most popular target in the ‘Boro backline and he justified that tonight by claiming two bonus points taking him to 53 overall. Surprisingly, that’s just 8 points shy of Kyle Walker, the top-ranked Fantasy Premier League defender.

With Southampton and Liverpool up next, we can perhaps wait to invest in Karanka’s rearguard. However, from Gameweek 17, the fixtures fall nicely.

Should Friend, now priced at just 4.4, be fit and available at that point, he could prove to be a key acquisition.

In Decline

Robert Snodgrass
A third consecutive Gameweek without returns has seen the Scot fade as a fourth midfield option.

So integral to Hull City’s attacking potential via his dead-ball delivery, Snodgrass has been unable to shine as others around him struggle.

With just a single goal in their last three and with Hull’s fixture list stiffening over the festive spell, Snodgrass is being swallowed up by alternative midfield options in and around his price point.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

What's best option for Lukaku and Bolasie
    A) Kane and kightly
    or
    B) Anichebe and Hazard

I need to move quickly as prices going up and no cash in bank..

I like spurs fixtures and everyone in my league has Aguero so they will put in Kane. However option B gives me strength in choice...

    Also lose 4pts

    Help!!! Thanks

    My current squad

    Foster/Heaton
    Williams/Lovren/chambers/Evans/Pieters
    Sanchez/Pedro/firminio/gifi/bolasie
    Benteke/lukaku/costa

I want Kane in there but I am worried that I will lose strength and depth...kightly will never play and Hazard and Anichebe will...I guess it boils down to Kane v Hazard...

To be fair its a small table this week.

Been lots of successes so they've either scored or not put in the goal attempt figures.

To put him into context the minimum is 10 goal attempts with just one goal over the last four.

The usual top place has around 16-20.

I think if he can maintain that goal attempt rate he will almost definitely score this week or next.

      Nope
      Anichebe has Swansea next
      Was MOM against Leicester
      Shouldve got 1-2 goals there
      Was unlucky
I'm surprised why aren't people considering him yet for that price tag

    Heaton
    Vertonghen - Cedric - Amat
    Sanchez - Hazard - Firmino - Arnautovic*

Not quite enough then. The players that you need rid of, imo, are Holebas and Collins (although he has a potentially juicy run upcoming). Another possibility is Heaton to Grant, although that's more controversial.

I sold him for sanchez befor this round. But he Was very unlucky not to Get on score sheet this round. And he is sending those 30 meter passes into the box with precition alot. 2. For crossing and second for chances created, behind payet. But him being out so wide only gets him those assists. I feel his price is just a bit to High, with so many other scoring midfielders. But he has been good a long time, so him getting some double figures soon, i think is hard to come by. A big question mark, with potentially big rewards.

He might be moved as a false 9 or behind the striker. I wouldn't bring him in, but if you already have him as I do, I would keep him and if he blanks bring in Hazard after Watford.

Been burnt by Carroll so many times but from GW16 fixtures are so good.
If I can get him in and leave a decent front 8 I would consider it so I can leave him rot on bench when injury comes. Only 6.1- ??

Would be a good shout. Always seems to have goals in him, can score a goal out of nothing. Just be prepared for the inevitable injury

After getting 4th consecutive red arrow, gone mad and took (-8) for Costa and Sanchez. My defence is still terrible and I can take further hits for long term defensive changes but still undecided. What do you think?

    Team atm:
    Heaton
    Walker Amat Holebas
Sanchez (C) Hazard Firmino (V) Siggurdson
    Kane Costa Austin
    Pickford deRoon Williams Kelly
    0,4 ITB

    Morning all.

Would you take a hit to get Sanchez in when you have this lot?

    Heaton, Pickford
    Alonso, Walker, Evans, Holebas, Amat
Hazard, Firmino, Wally, Siggy, de Roon
    Kane, Costa, Austin

Considering a couple hits for Sanchez or maybe going for something different like Wally > Mane if he's ok.

I would leave, but I had to do Wally->sanchez due to to price rises. I couldn't afford if sanch rised 0.2 and wally dropped

Him having Hazard won't make Ibra score more points than Costa.

Why do you still have him?
Nacho looks good. But I guess he won't be a regular.nolito can play upfront or kdb as false 9

Played my wildcard when Watford had a good run of fixtures coming up so I put him in. I was 13k in the overall leaderboard at the time and yet again my wildcard failed ha so I've been taking hits most weeks since to sort my team out and I've put the big hitters in instead of deeney really. I'm now 89k in the overall

3 straight red arrows and a drop from 83k to 312k I feel like giving up, another mediocre season to get trough. Any advice on this team, already taken a hit. 1.4 itb. Have exact cash for walcott>mane for another hit.

    Heaton
    Koscielny Alonso Holebas
    Walcott Milner Firmino Hazard (C)
    Austin Kane Costa

    pickford, amat, fletcher, pieters

You don't completely drop Pedro just because willian came on and changed that game, pedro has done well, it was a tactical decision for that game and a good one.
