Henrikh Mkhitaryan is ruled out of United’s trip to Palace with a short-term ankle problem. Arsenal’s Shkodran Mustafi is sidelined due to a hamstring injury, whilst Emre Can is still doubtful for Liverpool’s trip to the Riverside.

Shkodran Mustafi is out for three weeks with the hamstring problem that forced him off during Arsenal’s weekend win over Stoke. Aaron Ramsey remains sidelined with a similar complaint for this evening’s trip to Everton.

Henrikh Mkhitaryan is ruled out of United’s trip to Palace with an ankle problem, though Jose Mourinho expects the Armenian international’s absence to be short term. Antonio Valencia is suspended after falling off the Suspension Tightrope with his fifth yellow of the season against Spurs.

Emre Can remains a doubt for Liverpool’s trip to Middlesbrough, though is expected to return in time for next week’s Merseyside derby with Everton at the latest. Jurgen Klopp remains uncertain as to whether Dejan Lovren is available, after the defender was forced off with cramp against West Ham on Sunday.

Junior Stanislas and Andrew Surman will remain unavailable for Bournemouth’s clash with Leicester, Eddie Howe conceded yesterday.

Craig Dawson is suspended for West Brom’s home clash with Swansea after earning a fifth caution of the season during Sunday’s loss at Chelsea.

Marc Muniesa and Glen Johnson are rated as slight doubts for Stoke’s clash with Southampton. Jon Walters and Ryan Shawcross are back in training, with the former more likely to be available.

Charlie Austin is set to stay on the sidelines for around three-to-four months with shoulder ligament damage sustained on Europa League duties last Thursday.

Younes Kaboul is back in training and will be assessed ahead of Watford’s trip to Man City. Valon Behrami is a slight doubt due to illness, though Roberto Pereyra is available, having served a one-match suspension.

All this and more has now been updated in the Team News section ahead of this evening’s deadline. Keep an eye on our official Twitter Stream for breaking news – as the day unfolds, we will issue updates from Tuesday’s press conferences and refresh our Team News tab accordingly to keep you informed.

Heaton and Firmino to Grant and Sanchez for a -4?

    Would leave me with:

    Grant (Pickford)
    Alonso, McAuley, Smith (Amat, Pieters)
Sanchez, Haz, Mane, Siggy (De Roon)
    Kane, Costa, Nacho

Need a bit of help on this team.

    Foster / Pickford
    Alonso / Evans / Lovren / Amat / Holebas
    Hazard / Sanchez / Firm / Can / Fletcher
    Costa / Kane / Iheanacho

    Either
    1) Get rid of one of those likely not to play this GW, ie Can or Nacho (a bit stupid since I got them both in very recently).
    2) Get rid of Lovren helping fund a better midfield.
Or 3) what I really wanna do, switch Firmino for Eriksen/Alli/Son/Siggi...

    Any thoughts??

    My current side is:

    Foster (Grant)
    Evans/Pieters/Smith (Gibson/Prodl)
    Sanchez/Phillips/Hazard/Sigurdsson (Allen)
    Costa/Kane/Iheancho

I've got 3.6 in the bank and one free transfer this week. Not sure whether to stick with Iheancho and upgrade the defence, or whether to ditch the City striker and go for Alonso at the back.

    Would you:

    A) Smith out - Alonso in (leaves 2.0 in the bank)
    B) Iheancho out - Origi in (leaves 3.6 in the bank)
    C) Iheancho out - Benteke in (leaves 2.6 in the bank)
    D) Something else (Eriksen into the midfield? Ox into the midfield?)

Also - would you go for Kane or Costa as captain? Thinking Kane at the moment, but the idea of Costa against Sunderland is hilarious...

Any help would be massively appreciated!

SCOUT PICKS CHALLENGE - GAMEWEEK 16

    Gameweek 15 results LATER TODAY.
    GW14 results: http://www.fantasyfootballscout.co.uk/comment/14631055

    ****** WHAT IS IT? ******

For those of you who haven't been around or aren't aware, every evening prior to the start of the gameweek FFS releases their picks of players for the gameweek, "Scout Picks", as well as 3 differentials before the first games to separate yourself from the crowd.

This is your way to have a bit of fun and challenge those scout picks with a set of your own (read instructions below). This will always open the day before the gameweek starts around 8pm, and whilst you don't have to play weekly, the more you play the better chance you have of winning!

Gameweek winners will also be awarded a spot in the Community Roundup article.

    ****** INSTRUCTIONS ******

Everyone can have their own scout picks (there is no limit on team value) but with one simple rule,

YOU CAN ONLY PICK ONE PLAYER FROM EACH TEAM
(yes, two of your players at least will be on opposing teams).

You can only have ONE submission, and your FIRST submission will be what is accepted. You also must respond DIRECTLY to this post (not to a reply on this post). FFS Scout Picks are automatically enrolled. Teams must comply with FPL formation rules and be submitted in an easy to read format, e.g.

    GK
    DEF DEF DEF
    MID MID MID MID
    FOR FOR FOR

Deadline for this gameweek is Tuesday 13th December, 6.30pm.

    ****** SCORING ******

Regardless of number of applicants, scoring will be done by the following:

    1st place: 3 points
Top 4% of the population will rank "second" and score 2 points.
Top 10% of the population will rank "third" and score 1 point.

There is also a bonus point which everyone is eligible for. If you score higher than FFS' Scout Picks AND Differential Picks (i.e. 14 players), you will be awarded with a bonus point regardless of whether you were in the top 10% scoring positions or not.

Welcome to the game, and good luck.

    ***** THE STANDINGS *****

Thought I'd post this again seeing as it could influence transfers:

Orgi just posted an instagram story with his foot elevated, lying on the floor, captioned 'recovery'. I can't link it as it wasn't a standard post, it was a 'story'. I'd advise those who use Instagram to check it out and make a judgement for themselves.

Interestingly if Origi is actually injured (very weak source) firmino would likely return to a false 9. Just thought you'd all want to know about this

perhaps it would've made me think twice about my Firmino to Eriksen transfer if I had seen this yesterday, but the fixtures kind of made the decision for me.

The reason his foot is elevated is because he's using a muscle tube underneath.... They are used to relax muscles after a work out.....nothing to worry about for those who have him.

Kinda looks like he's just chilling in front of Netflix's "Fireplace for your Home".

I was thinking of bringing him in though, so not sure what to think. The below 7.0m striker bracket is so very uninspiring.

Glamour decision of who to start this week:

        A) Obiang
        B) Fer

Obinag has a better fixture, especially as I'll be playing Evans as one of my defenders. But Fer, when he plays is more attacking.

        What do you think?

As a side note, i know they are both pretty terrible picks, Fer is moving on after tonight / tomorrows games but couldn't do it all this week!

        A) Alonso (sun)
        B) Ake (LEI)
        C) Pieters (SOU)
        D) Holebas (mcy)
        E) Amat (wba)

Amat is a threat on set pieces as well (especially with Siggy delivering them). Could easily have scored a brace the other day.

DGW triple captain burnt nearly all of us last season...but logic says you should wait until them again this year.

They're usually between GW 30-37 and looking at some of the heavy hitters there are some plum potential double ups (e.g Kane plays Burnley, Watford, Swansea, Bournmouth from GW 30-33, Chelsea have a lovely end of season run etc...) - these things can change, but a lovely double up could really hit you.

Saying that - tonight is a prime fixture if you're swayed the risky route,

Have been thinking about this for 48 hours now, still not a clue what I should do. Would you...?
        A) Keep Walker + Defoe
        B) Go for Kane + Chambers/Ake (-4)
        C) Sell Capoue + Walker for Eriksen + Chamber/Ake (-4) and play a strong 5 man midfield

Any help is appreciated, just can't make my mind up!

how long is Smalling gonna be out for?

P.Jones would be a steal for just 4.7 with those Man Utd fixtures.

Although worries he may not be a 1st choice if all fit - Smalling-Bailly preffered CB partnership?
