Fantasy managers are treated to the remaining eight matches of Gameweek 16 this Wednesday evening, with a trio of
encounters getting underway at 7.45pm.

Sadio Mane and Divock Origi are the form men as Liverpool look for a first win in three at the Riverside. Roberto Firmino arrives on the back of four straight blanks and was second only to Charlie Austin for transfers out in the Gameweek.

With Eden Hazard absent, the stage is set for Diego Costa as Chelsea visit Sunderland. The Blues frontman was the most captained player in Fantasy Premier League for Gameweek 16, with 23% handing him the armband.

West Ham embark on the first of three very favourable fixtures, with Dimitri Payet and Michail Antonio on our radars for the visit of Burnley.

In the 8pm matches, all eyes will be on Captain Poll winner Harry Kane as Spurs welcome Hull to White Hart Lane. We’ll also be monitoring Scout Picks duo Toby Alderweireld and Christian Eriksen against the struggling Tigers.

In-form pair Christian Benteke and Zlatan Ibrahimovic go head-to-head as Palace welcome United to Selhurst Park. With returns in six of the last seven, Wilfried Zaha was the most transferred in player for Gameweek 16.

With Sergio Aguero suspended, faith in Man City has dwindled ahead of what should be a plum home clash against Watford. Kevin De Bruyne is the man most likely as the Etihad side look to recover from back-to-back defeats.

We’re also keeping a keen eye on Differential Sofiane Boufal as Southampton head to Stoke. Having bagged the winner at home to ‘Boro, the Moroccan could be set to step up in the absence of Charlie Austin, promoting his prospects as a mid-price midfield candidate ahead of some fine fixtures.

West Brom have their work cut out to stop Gylfi Sigurdsson as Swansea make their way to the Hawthorns.

The Swans’ playmaker has racked up four goals and as many assists in eight appearances under Bob Bradley and faces a defence with one clean sheet in the last 12 Gameweeks.

Matt Phillips and Salomon Rondon also have the chance to maintain momentum tonight – Swansea have conceded 12 goals in four road trips since their new manager was installed.

Great Arsenal fixtures + dwindling faith in Walcott.

Is Walcott to Ozil the answer? I have Sanchez

Same. But I decided to get rid. His performance not good enough to warrant a place in my team. Lallana looks promising eventhough the fixtures aren't better than Walcott. Form over fixtures right?....right?

The tide turns so quickly it's ridiculous. Hot topic 10 days ago was discussing Austin replacements and the Nacho Bandwagon started
Only very few brought in Origi (hazardous material and I). Now Origi and Llorente have become the "best 3rd strikers"

It's a fluid game and things change quickly mate. Origi's rise lines up with his starts and goals since Coutinho's injury

Of course it was over a period of really nice fixtures as well so maybe it people are buying at the top?

        I don't own him personally

Tough one. I have Eriksen already and have Mane. Thinking of ditching Mane cause Mane has primarily been the Home games leader. Lallana on the other hand has performed in both Away and home. It would also help me free up funds.

      So, I think both. lol.

    Third Striker Dilemma:

So after giving 2 GWs to Iheanacho, I am finally replacing him simply cause of the fact that if Pep won't play him against Watford, he has no chance of making it to the games later. Probably he would come on as a sub but that is too much of a punt.

I am currently under top 10K and I simply cannot figure out the options to choose from to replace Nacho. I am pretty sure a lot of people are in the same dilemma.

I am specifically looking at below 7.0 strikers.

    Options:

    1) Rondon - Man Utd (H), Arsenal (A), So'ton (A), Hull (H), Spurs (A)
    2) Origi - Everton (A), Stoke (H), City (H), Sunderland (A), Man Utd (A)
    3) Llorente - Borough (A), West Ham (H), Bournemouth (H), Cry palace (A)
    4) Andy Carroll - Hull (H), Swansea (A), Leicester (A), Man Utd (H), Cry Palace (H)

The best out of the lot looks Carroll, judging just by the fixtures. I think he would finally get proper gametime. I don't quite know how well he played last night but he played 82 mins.

Hull have conceded 5 goals out of the 32 by headers. And I think Carroll might get that tally up but it's purely uncertain.

Orgy Case !: Yes, 5 goals in 5 games does look excitingly tempting to just go do a straight swap for Origi but I have my doubts over him during the Christmas period. With Jagielka out for the Mersey side derby, it does look all the more obvious to bring him in but I have my doubts over him for the fact that Coutinho is going to be back this weekend (awaiting more news on this). And when Coutinho comes in, he pretty much steals the show and has been the showstopper in all the matches prior to his injury.

Ron the Don: Hatrick, yeah ! But likely to do so going forward? No. The next 3 fixtures look completely unattractive and would require a lot of convincing to even think about getting him in.

Llorente: Those who follow FFS a lot would have easily known that Siggy has turned into an essential going forward and that pretty much overshadows Llorente.

I am not sure if I have missed out on the best budget strikers but if you feel there is a need for someone else to be considered, comment below.

Basically the dilemma is over Carroll and Origi for me.

I honestly do feel that Origi would be fine but then Carroll who has absolutely done nothing, has the fixtures.

I know everyone says form over fixtures but I just saw Zaha last night. Although he played amazing but just didn't bring home the points. I am waiting for the price rise tonight on him and shipping him off.

He got me great points but I think its time to bid farewell.

Great post - Should be a hot Topic imo
This in a way in itself is a continuation of the Austin replacement once he got injured
I went 2 weeks backs simply because Liverpool have much greater goal threat than West Ham
Coutinho will not be back this week end as you suggested. Once he's back it's a major cause for concern

Liverpool has the same medical staff as Arsenal it seems. Post every match, there has to be one guy on the stretcher.

I was planning on doing the same but then I had my concerns. I was actually thinking of swapping out Mane for Lallana to free up funds and go for a ~9.0m striker but then after looking at that list, I realized that I had shortlisted all the below 7.0 strikers and was completely wasting my Mane > Lallana transfer.

Not quite but when you have an explosive 4 man midfield and a fodder 5th midfielder, you do tend to have funds deployed on the front 3.

Not speaking just of myself here but its on the great large. I am sure a lot of people have a decent 3rd striker option.

Not really I think its essential to have an option to switch between 3-5-2 and 3-4-4 over the Christmas period. There are going to be squad rotations and hence you would have to pay attention to that.

      Interesting Post..

In same boat since listening to Andy's Allstar's Iheanacho call.

Origi - No, Funes Mori back to hunt him down, again!
      Rondon - No, terrible fixtures.
      Llorente - No, terrible team.
Carroll - No, uncertainty over game time.

Charlie Austin injury really destroyed a lot and no replacement in sight!

I go back in hibernation to wait for revelation..

Infact I even went ahead and think of getting Defoe in through Mane > Lallana and Iheanacho > Defoe.

But he is favored 3rd choice striker but he looking at his fixtures:

        Watford (H), Man United (A), Burnley (A), Liverpool (H), Stoke (H)

I simply would not want to invest in him and adding more to that Sunderland were horrible last night. Defoe could hardly get the ball. If there's no one to supply the ball to him. Oh no ! Don't you dare say Januzaj will supply, that kid can't cross at all !

You cannot judge Defoe when playing against the best defensive team. Think he can score next GW but is a no-keep for long term.

Exactly. He will be more like a 1 week punt. I agree you cannot predict that but on a reasonable probability basis I think he doesn't look at like a player you would keep for more than the next GW. Long term for me would be 3 GWs. I don't consider anything longer than that cause there are too many factors which come in to play if I want to keep him for 5 weeks or so.

I am not really keen on Sunderland players as it is. Judging by their performance the last game but today's Watford presser which says that Okaka and Pereyra will not be available, that's a heavy blow for Watford attack. Pereyra has been absolutely amazing for them.

How to get Chelsea defence in this team or should I ignore it?

    (0FT - 0.1 ITB)
    Heaton - Pickford
    Vertonghen - Cedric - Evans - Friend - Amat
    Sanchez - Hazard - Eriksen - Siggy - Capoue
    Kane - Costa - Origi

I'm thinking it'll be a minimum 3 transfer move to get Alonso/Azpi... So may just downgrade Capoue and get Luiz for Vertonghen next GW - thoughts?

So the Lallana BandWagon is boarding just when Liverpool have the derby and the two Manchester clubs to play in the next 6?

Do trains have seatbelts these days?

Good to save this week? I know the defense is super heavy but bellerin had great fixtures after city and only had him 2 weeks!

    Pickford
    Bellerin alonso walker
    Sanchez hazard siggy phillips
    Kane costa defoe

    Heaton holobas de roon amat

This is one of the best set up teams that I've seen, you have Bellerin & Sanchez for the upcoming juicy fix and your super heavy defence could well be the diffential that you need to move up in rank. Nice!
Only concern is 0itb if you wanted to do to make a transfer, eg.Kane to Ibra

    Good morning DZ.

Not much I can do until I get more news about Hazard, Cedric, Anichebe and Can.

    Current Team

    Marshall Pickford
    Clyne Cedric Holebas McAuley Amat
    Sanchez Hazard Firmino Sigurdsson Can
    Kane Costa Anichebe

    1FT, 0.6m

    Kane+Firmino to Ibra+Eriksen(-4)? Very kneejerky.

    Thanks.

Nah, I would keep Kane for the Hull game for sure - he's going to get points.

Removing Firmino might be a good idea, Liverpool's run of kind fixtures ends now - Erikson or Payet (maybe even Lallana if you like) might be a good replacement

Like those too. But with Ibra>>Kane i would hold one week. WBA is very solid in defence. But you can chance Firm do Erik.
      Have pretty similar team myself.
      Grant (Heaton)
      Alonso Rose McAuley (Cedric, Ake)
      Hazard Sanchez Eriksen Antonio Adam
      Costa Kane (Anichebe)
Eriksen is on fire. Thinking of (c) next gw with Kane poor form.

    De Gea (Jakupovic)
    Walker Daniels McAuley (Kingsley Lenihan)
Sanchez Siggy Hazard Mané (De Roon)
    Defoe Costa Llorente

Thinking of going Mané/McAuley --> Eriksen/Alonso...or possibly Hazard out instead of Mané. Bad move?

Do we know what the Anichebe injury is like - is he likely to be back for the weekend?

On holidays at present and games were on during the night my time so missed any press conferences and have been unable to get any news reports...need to know whether to keep the Aguero surplus to upgrade Big Vic or whether I can distribute among defence as planned

    Foster Jaku
    Mcauley Clyne* Alonso Pieters Amat
    Firmino Eriksen Sigurdsson Hazard Capoue
    Kane Costa Nacho*

    1FT, 0.9 ITB
    My plan: Clyne->Rose and Nacho-> (-4)

Who is the best replacement for Nacho? It's worth a hit?
    Caroll/Negredo/Origi?
