Gameweek 18 rolls on this evening as Liverpool welcome Stoke to Anfield in a 5.15pm kick-off.

Owned by over 21% of Fantasy Premier League managers, Sadio Mane’s home form suggests he’s the man most likely to wreak havoc against the Potters – the Senegal international has scored or assisted in six of seven Anfield appearances since arriving from Southampton over the summer.

Divock Origi, with goals in all but one of the last five Gameweeks, retains his starting berth, with Jurgen Klopp set to unleash Daniel Sturridge from the bench once again.

Roberto Firmino also keeps his place as he attempts to end a run of six straight blanks.

For the Potters, Joe Allen is the form player – he’s bagged a goal and assist in the last three Gameweeks as he prepares to face his former club for the first time since moving to the bet365.

Between the posts, Lee Grant has produced at least one save point in each of the last four and should be kept busy again as the hosts look for the win that would see them leapfrog Man City into second.

    Need some help, have to meet some differential in my mini league and i am looking to do something risky in order to cover ground. Everyone in my league has: (Sanchez, Capoue, Costa, Walker). 2 other people have Ibra just as I do and a couple of people have (origi, Defoe, Haz.)
    Here is my team:

    Foster (Jaku)
    Walker, Smith, Alonso (Lovren, Nyom)
    De Bruyne, Ericksen, Siggy, Hazard (Allen)
    Ibra(C), Origi, Llorente

    1 FT, 0 ITB.
    Going to save my FT This week so that I can go with a -4 hit next week and a big change. Don't think many people have the money to bring in Aguero and if I get Costa that won't help me meet any differentials. Lukaku is a consideration to bring back in as well. Any thoughts ?

      What constitutes a differential in your league? Ownership? Could do Walker to Rose if you don't want to look elsewhere. Sideways yes but still an option. Lukaku a great option in a month when EVE fixtures turn nice.

            Yep 4 changes from team C. But if you work around the fixtures you can reduce the hits. Or do two transfers at a time meaning 8 points hit.

            Who knows with form and price changes things can change quickly. Good luck

    The scramble to sell good players, often for -4, to get Aguero is making me laugh. Costa and Ibra have decent fixtures, you can surely wait a week and see how Kun looks in his first game back.

        I may well get him, but I'm not going to dismantle my team and take a hit to do so with Costa & Ibra doing so well. Aguero's clearly the best forward in the league but he's had a patchy season, didn't look mint v Chelsea before the red either.

    442 the way to go? Instead of rotation between lots of 3rd striker options who maximum gets 9 points from time to time, a solid back 4 may be the way to go. Azpi/Alonso/Bellerin cost the same amount of money as Llorente, Origi, Carroll, Rondon..

      He isn't that much better than most of us if at all. He's just the one guy in the HoF who hit a 1/10000 hot streak. 132k is just a bit of bad luck which I imagine he isn't used to.

          He's obviously very good at the game but that's not my points.

          It's not 'luck' in the traditional sense but there are plenty of people on this site who finish in the top 20k every year and are probably just as good. There's a lot of high variance moments in this game every season (e.g. GW8s, DGWs and random events) and it's not at all unlikely that someone in the 10-20k strong FFS hall of fame manages to be on the right side of these moments for 8 years.

      That's not bad to be fair. If you can afford it I'd go Brunt/Ake over McAuley/Pieters. Or straight up Brunt over Lovren for double WBA def for their good fixture run. Phillips over Zaha if he's got AFCON. Mkhi an option over Hazard if you want to take a punt and can give another defensive upgrade/Lallana upgrade.
