Gameweek 18 comes to its conclusion this Wednesday evening as Southampton welcome Tottenham Hotspur to St Mary’s.

Claude Puel’s men seek a fourth successive clean sheet in front of their own supporters, with ever-present Virgil van Dijk (13% ownership) the most popular Saints player by some distance in Fantasy Premier League.

After netting twice in the 3-1 win at Bournemouth, Jay Rodriguez retains his role up front and is afforded another chance to play his way into our plans ahead of some fine upcoming fixtures.

Back-to-back home blanks against Hull and Burnley persuaded many to part company with Harry Kane last time out – the Spurs frontman was second only to Diego Costa for transfers out in Gameweek 18. Nonetheless, a big performance could have a big effect in the FPL standings – Kane is the sixth most captained player for this round of fixtures.

His Tottenham team-mate Christian Eriksen also earned significant sales after failing to deliver points against the Clarets, yet both have the underlying numbers to punish those who chose to look elsewhere.

        Yes..Moses and Lovren have done nothing for ages and Moses is taking up my 3rd Chelsea spot when I want a defender. Would need the Moses replacement to be 5.2m or less, but it's slim pickings in that bracket. Palace have great fixtures coming up and might have a resurgence under Allardyce.

      I have pickford as backup to Heaton. If it means anything, I'm replacing Pickford with Mannone so I can continue rotating in certain fixtures. Heaton is good 80% of the time. The rest of the time he isn't great and it's 'fairly' predictable when that might be

        The front six of B is very nice but that means you'll be starting a 4.5 mid or a 4.0 def Tbh, neither one of those options are great but having Costa might make up for it, personally I'd go B. Maybe go for De Roon or Fletcher????

      I think there are gains to be made with some of the Fpl chips(apart fom the AOA one which is useless) but as much as I hate them next season I'd like to see a "Parent club Chip" introduced where for one gw only a player who was eniligible to play for one gw would be eligible to play for that gw.. Imagine the gains that could be made if you chose wisely?
