Gameweek 18 comes to its conclusion this Wednesday evening as Southampton welcome Tottenham Hotspur to St Mary’s.

Claude Puel’s men seek a fourth successive clean sheet in front of their own supporters, with ever-present Virgil van Dijk (13% ownership) the most popular Saints player by some distance in Fantasy Premier League.

After netting twice in the 3-1 win at Bournemouth, Jay Rodriguez retains his role up front and is afforded another chance to play his way into our plans ahead of some fine upcoming fixtures.

Back-to-back home blanks against Hull and Burnley persuaded many to part company with Harry Kane last time out – the Spurs frontman was second only to Diego Costa for transfers out in Gameweek 18. Nonetheless, a big performance could have a big effect in the FPL standings – Kane is the sixth most captained player for this round of fixtures.

His Tottenham team-mate Christian Eriksen also earned significant sales after failing to deliver points against the Clarets, yet both have the underlying numbers to punish those who chose to look elsewhere.

        No worries.
        Alder -> Jones gives me just enough to do Kane -> Aguero for a hit this week.
        
        Alternatively I could do the following 4 moves over the next 2 weeks as a 'mini wildcard'
        Carroll+Siggy+Kane+Toby -> Rondon/Tekkers+Cabaye+Aguero+Valencia
        
        Clears the dead wood and sets me up nicely for the future. Only downside, no Sanchez yet.
        Just don't see a feasible way of adding him if I want Aguero as well

        The only GW to be scared of is the GW21 when Sanchez plays Swansea at Emirates. Swansea could go all nuts and get a 0-0 but a thrashing is very very likely with mass captainers.

  I took a Lukaku punt this week and it worked out. Given that he's back in scoring form I think he's a great pick. Many will hold off until gw22 but if you no want Kun or Ibra then why wait?

    I'm looking at Lukaku too as an alternative to Aguero, right now, there's no way or reason to lose Costa or Ibra, both have huge ownership and will hurt you a lot more than missing out on the odd Aguero haul.
    
    Lukaku offers a nice alternative and getting him doesn't destroy the rest of your team.
    
    Ibra Costa and Lukaku upfront feels very strong.

      I dont think so, who will start? Zouma and Terry are injured, so basically have no defenders who can start over Luiz/Cahill/Azpi.
      
      Ivan is an option but he has more chance of starting over Moses than those defenders imo.
      
      Bailly will be off soon, so probably doesnt make sense to disturb the defense for 1-week.
      
      They can rest during FA Cup

  If you haven't already got in Utd defender I wouldn't do it now. They still aren't tight enough for me. Bought Jones in last week and already thinking about switching to Brunt, because I can easily see them conceding to West Ham, Pool and Stoke.

Went Hazard captain over Ibra last weekend. For a while it was the right decision. Hazard could have had more, was unlucky, and the third Chelsea goal took away max bonus. Ibra got the assist which on another day was offside. But he could feasibly have had more too.

Long story short, I think I'm going Haz over Ibra again

I administer a small FPL league, 60 'members'. I have just removed 4, so there should be 56 left. Thing is, there's now just 1 page of 50? There's no tab "Next" for the remaining 6? Where have they gone?

  There's a lot of (expensive) punting in there. Why not go with what you know a bit more. Ibra, Costa, Kaku a much better bet for the next two weeks I think, and gives you the chance to do a lot better in midfield..
