It’s quite ironic that, in an episode that focuses on our experience and strategies of mini-league management, my long-term rival on that score goes awol.

Granville is waylaid by “homework” and misses out, but Luke crashes in mid-cast to join Jonty, Andy and myself as we deliver an 80-minute episode, which includes our dubious insights on navigating a team to mini-league glory – mind games and all.

Once again guided by your community questions, we take on the Diego Costa fall-out, the rising stock of Spurs on form and Everton on fixtures, while finding time to wade in on the demise of former darling Sergio Aguero under the stewardship of Pep Guardiola.

This episode of the ScoutCast was first beamed live via our YouTube channel on Tuesday night. Be sure to subscribe to get notice of future live episodes.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

A quick blanks/DGW summary (as questions are starting to trickle through more steadily on this)

    Blanks

GW26 = blanks for EFL cup final (A)
    GW28 = blanks for FACQFs (B)
    GW34 = blanks for FACSFs (C)

    Potential DGW midweeks

    GW34
GW33 (for teams not involved in Europe)
    GW37

Common sense is cancelled games from GW28 will be played GW34 and cancelled games from GW34 will be played GW37. GW33 is an interesting alternative though, as this is Easter weekend and the weekend scheduled games could be played on Good Friday, with rearranged games on Easter Monday (note the midweeks either side of this GW weekend are both legs of the CL and EL semi finals).

Jury is out when the rearranged games for GW26 will be. Some have suggested this may be GW24, but this is extremely unlikely for many reasons, including the short time between the formal cancellation of GW26 matches and GW24. GW26 midweek is a possibility if both teams involved in the match that needs to be rearranged are out of the FA Cup, as GW26 midweek is pencilled for FA Cup 5th round replays.

Note that in GW34 as well as some teams are likely to have DGWs, and some other teams could have blanks (see example that was done before the season even started on the following post http://www.fantasyfootballscout.co.uk/2016/07/15/moving-target-james-tomkins/?hc_page=2#hc_comment_13551086 )

There is also this useful spreadsheet someone else has done giving the probabilities of which teams will blank and when https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/ ... PZcbi51ZbI .

Please note that this is all based on a “best guess”, so don’t quote any of this as gospel!!! Note also there could be postponements for non football reasons (e.g. weather, world ending due to Trump, etc)

Don't forget if both teams are out of the FA Cup in round 4 then using Feb 18th for the rearranged game (GW25) is a shoo-in. although as this would probably require Man Utd to lose to Wigan and Hull in their respective cup matches I reckon this is a little unlikely.

If DGW is on the 36-38 GWs, then we can forget about keeping our chips. Will have so many rotations, since League can be won already and same for relegation.

Last season there were 4 additional matches in DGW37, and the Triple Captain and Bench Boost chips were both very successful that week.

GW 36 is in May so this is definitely not Easter Weekend. This obviously makes your analysis void for GW 36. I think you'll find Easter weekend is GW 33!!!!

I'm desperate, lads. Rank 14k two years ago. Rank 6k last year. Now I'm struggling to break into the top 2 million. Ravaged by injuries and poor decisions, I find myself trying to make a decent WC-team on not a lot of money. Please, please give me some input!

    Robles - Jakupovic
    Azpi - VVD - Jones - Friend - Mee
Alexis - Alli - Pedro - Coutinho -Philips
    Giroud - Zlatan - Crouch

Planning for mostly 3-5-2. Alexis, Zlatan, VVD and Azpi I've had a while, so can't really sell without a big loss. This team leaves 0.1 ITB.

Had a friend work in construction management over there, he was on mega-money but left as the conditions were so bad.

I guess probably just best to hold Nyom given his price as he will get back in side at some point! Holgate or Yoshida really on other options I can see around that price

Which is the better 5th mid?

    A) Tom Davies (4.3) EVE
    B) Schneiderlin (4.6) EVE
    C) Fletcher (4.4) WBA
    C) Tom Carroll (4.2) SWA

Ideally looking for someone to play in GW26/28 when other teams will blank, so an Everton mid would be perfect.

Schneiderlin, in that case. Won't get you any points, mind.

Pushs me further towards selling already this GW - surely if his mind is already set on leaving, his gametime and point returns will drop ?

With Cedric (LEI) as first defender on the bench, it's not worth getting Evans out right?

Tell me what do you think I should do
    https://fantasy.premierleague.com/a/team/my
    I'm thinking
    Evans-holgate
    Lallana-davies
    Wilson-ibra
After all that I'll have 0.4 mil left so I can get a better replacement for holgate
    Any suggestions?

Think I'm going to stick with Mr Reliable Zlatan as captain this week.. Should even be a bit of a differential with Arsenal home to Burnley.

Anyone other than Alexis seems to be a differential this week, I'm going hazard myself
