The day’s events continue at the Emirates Stadium, where Arsenal and Burnley provide the backdrop to Alexis Sanchez’ latest attempt to build on his stock as a Fantasy Premier League “essential”.

The Chilean starts this match backed by 18.2% of FPL managers, with 52 of the top 100 also endorsing the Gunners man for another return.

It’s easy to justify such a show of faith: Sanchez has returned a goal or an assist in eight of his last nine Gameweeks, with eight goals, four assists and nine bonus points collected over that period.

In addition, he faces a Burnley side that has the worst away record in the Premier League, winning only one of 26 so far on their travels.

Sanchez also boasts an enviable record against the Clarets. He has scored three and assisted twice in his two previous outings in all competitions against Sean Dyche’s men at the Emirates.

Olivier Giroud adds to the Gunners threat. The Frenchman has scored in each of his last four Gameweeks and leads Arsene Wenger’s attack once again, having shaken off a toe injury.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

Hate it when players try rabonas and backheels when they can't even complete a simple cross. Usually it's british dimwits like Ramsey.

it was a pretty good cross though...

He screwed up the easy cross on the counter a few minutes later.

well why would you complain about the good one then? perhaps he should have rabona'd again instead.

Are you mad? That was a great cross which he couldnt have achieved normally due to the angle

          +1
Perfectly valid situation to use the Rabona

Sanchez' latest haul was in the last 20 minutes of the match. Plenty of time left for the most talented, fittest, and most competitive player on the pitch to do damage.

This will end up being the lowest week of my FPL career it seems. An absolute blinder.

I'm better off getting Ozil by the looks of things. Most forward Arsenal player.

Ozil seems in a really attacking position, more so than Gru half the time.

To be fair Burnley looking quite dangerous on the counter, few chances theyve had now

Standard procedure this. People complaining about Giroud ruining Arsenal's play in the first 70 mins, before he nicks a goal and he's essential the next week too

    • Jay_

By the time Cech is 70 he's going to feel like he's had a boxing career rather than a football one.
