Dugout Discussion – Arsenal vs Burnley

The day’s events continue at the Emirates Stadium, where Arsenal and Burnley provide the backdrop to Alexis Sanchez’ latest attempt to build on his stock as a Fantasy Premier League “essential”.

The Chilean starts this match backed by 18.2% of FPL managers, with 52 of the top 100 also endorsing the Gunners man for another return.

It’s easy to justify such a show of faith: Sanchez has returned a goal or an assist in eight of his last nine Gameweeks, with eight goals, four assists and nine bonus points collected over that period.

In addition, he faces a Burnley side that has the worst away record in the Premier League, winning only one of 26 so far on their travels.

Sanchez also boasts an enviable record against the Clarets. He has scored three and assisted twice in his two previous outings in all competitions against Sean Dyche’s men at the Emirates.

Olivier Giroud adds to the Gunners threat. The Frenchman has scored in each of his last four Gameweeks and leads Arsene Wenger’s attack once again, having shaken off a toe injury.

    Wat a crazy 5 mins I just had.. was out playing footie so just checked live score. Saw soton won 3-0 and thought yes! Vvd CS n maybe a goal.. checked the goals/assists and thought ok maybe a CS + baps.. checked baps n thought atleast a CS.. then checked CS points n WTF! Then checked arsenal 1-1 without Sanchez involvement(main rival has Sanchez captain while I have hazard) n thought yes!! Then a peno comes up and I'm cheering as a Giroud owner.. n then again.. WTF! Never going to go play while footie is live ever again 🙁 🙂

        I just sold Gru for Kane. No-one in that team would pass to him. He wasn't allowed to play today due to childishness from teammates. I am not risking another sulking show from sanchez.
