Aaron Ramsey is ruled out of Arsenal’s clash with Chelsea and Olivier Giroud requires a late fitness test. Bournemouth’s Charlie Daniels is still sidelined for a trip to Everton, while Virgil van Dijk could be out for up to three months with an ankle injury.

Olivier Giroud and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain are set for late fitness tests ahead of Arsenal’s trip to Chelsea, though Arsene Wenger expects both to be available. Aaron Ramsey is ruled out for three weeks with a calf complaint.

Bournemouth’s Callum Wilson has been ruled out for the season after suffering knee ligament damage in training. Charlie Daniels is also unavailable for the trip to Goodison, though Max Gradel is back in contention after returning from the Africa Cup of Nations.

Calum Chambers has a chance of returning for Middlesbrough’s clash with Spurs, though Gaston Ramirez and George Friend are still unavailable.

Virgil van Dijk has been ruled out for two to three months with an ankle complaint, while James Ward-Prowse and Jay Rodriguez will continue to be assessed ahead of Southampton’s clash with West Ham, Claude Puel has confirmed. Meanwhile, cub-record signing Manolo Gabbiadini looks in line for a debut after arriving from Napoli on transfer deadline day.

Xherdan Shaqiri remains sidelined for Stoke’s clash with West Brom, while Glen Johnson is expected to miss out again. Wilfried Bony and Mame Biram Diouf are back in the squad after returning from the Africa Cup of Nations.

Leon Britton is back in training and comes into contention for Swansea’s trip to the Etihad. New signing Jordan Ayew won’t be available, though, as he is still turning out for Ghana in the Africa Cup of Nations.

Sunderland new boys Bryan Oviedo and Darron Gibson will be “in and around the squad” for the trip to Palace, David Moyes has confirmed. Papy Djilobodji serves the second of a four-match suspension.

Steven Defour is sidelined for Burnley’s trip to Watford due to a hamstring problem. New boys Robbie Brady and Ashley Westwood are both available to make their debuts, Sean Dyche has confirmed.

Marco Silva has confirmed that new signings Alfred N’Diaye and Kamil Grosicki are available for Hull’s home encounter against Liverpool. Dieumerci Mbokani is also in contention after returning from the Africa Cup of Nations, though Lazar Markovic cannot play against his parent club.

All this and more has now been updated in the Team News section ahead of tomorrow’s deadline. Keep an eye on our official Twitter Stream for breaking news – as the day unfolds, we will issue updates from Friday’s press conferences and refresh our Team News tab accordingly to keep you informed.

Yeah that's good mate - would be tempted by the double down on WBA but I'm guessing you are spreading the risk?

Kaku also the stand out captain but, like you, I am not giving him the armband as I have a lot of bad experiences with him haha

I am not a Kaku fan, but in terms of fixtures and proven goalscoring worth he's better than Tekkers.

However; I was strongly considering Tekkers. I love the fixtures and I think BFS will get them rolling now. Key factor is the blanks here.

    G2G?

    Heaton (Jaku)
    Yoshida Brunt Coleman (Daniels, Robertson)
    Phillips Ali Eriksen Sanchez (Stanislas)
    Lukaku Kane(c) Ibra

    0.2itb 0FT

    Transfers for next GW:
1.) Eriksen (assuming Ali plays better) ---> Siggurdson
    2.) Daniels ----> Alonso / Walker / Baines

      Hi mate

Think that's a really good plan. I think you can afford to let Daniels rot for a bit if you don't want to take the hit, but can see why you're doing so. I'd pull Baines in with the blanks in mind.

    G2G?

    Heaton
    Baines Van Aanholt Pieters
    Alli Sanchez Siggy Phillips
    Lukaku Ibrahimovic Jesus

Sub - Randolph Rose Stanilas Love

Had Rose, Daniels injured and Giroud had to go.
    Daniels > Van Aanholt
    Giroud > Jesus

Seem to have a benching dilemma every week.

    Foster
    Baines, Coleman, McAuley
    Alli, Eriksen, Sanchez, Phillips
    Benteke, Lukaku (C), Ibra

    Heaton, Alonso, Stanislas, Chambers

    Who should I bench?

    1. Bobby_Baggio
      • 14 Years

I think WBA will concede so may aswell start with the attacking threat of Alonso

  10. Paully Walnuts

I'm looking at a few different options this week and would appreciate any views. My current team is:

    Forster, Jakupovic
Alonso, Brunt, Funes Mori, Evans (inj), Friend (inj)
    Sanchez, Eriksen, Lallana, Pedro, DeRoon
    Kane, Ibra, Defoe

    I have 2FTs and 0.1 ITB

I have this mad notion to take a -4 for Forster, Lallana and Defoe to Mannone (has to be done for the cash), Phillips and Lukaku. I prefer Lukaku to Defoe over the next few weeks, Liverpool have a few sticky fixtures coming up while WBA have a nice run. As an additional positive it increases my GW28 players by 2.

Is it madness to take a hit this week (I could leave Defoe to Lukaku to next week) or would you go with the 'safe' option of just replacing Evans or Friend and rolling 1 FT?

    1. ATOM AND HUMBER
      • 9 Years

I'd leave Lukaku for next week, Defoe against Palace isn't a bad match up.

Zaha, Mane, Siggy, KdB and Sterling are the most bought midfielders this week

Only 1 nailed-28er, and he's got Man City and Chelsea away in the next 3. Some risks being taken here.

If you're going to take out Rose, you might do D since Coleman doesn't have a blank. Going Rose -> Walker will most likely be another transfer for you to think about when he has a blank.
